post your shoes, talk shit
disappointed at lack of dress shoes/oxfords. not for euphoric purposes but just because they're something everyone should have
pic related is what i have no after donating the rest
For one, to wear with a suit. Unless you're going to rock some stan smiths with your suit to a funeral.
Business casual setting, interviews, meetings, etc.
I find it hard to believe that someone will never, ever be in a situation where sneakers are inappropriate foot wear.
>men who collect shoes
this makes me cringe, every time
if you have over three pairs of sneakers, you are honestly fucking up big time.
I'm not about to list each and every thing you should have, and every appropriate colourway, but really guys, if you're not wearing THROUGH your skate/running shoes, you shouldn't be buying a new pair every other year. either buy something Good, like some margiella or CP, or buy running shoes after you've finally ruined the last pair by running in them.
owning 7 practically new trainers is just generally stupid, even moreso when they're all the same fucking colourway.
>either buy something Good, like some margiella or CP
My shitty shitty shit shit collection. Burning half of them soon and saving up for some nice boots
>lives in the US
>literally has never had to go to a job interview, attend a funeral/wedding, etc
Literally how? Are you a wetback or some shit? Even then your people get shot up all the time.
i have one plain black dress shoe and no more which i use maybe once a year, i rarely wear suits, i don't dress in business casual, dadcore, so there's no need to have more than one pair
it's the easiest thing to dress in suits and look good, it's a no brainer, that ain't fashion
Black KVAs are up on Grailed. Mention effay and get a discount.
Brown brogues are next on my list when I get around to it.
Will someone post Mifune's collection? I'd like to save that pic.
He's making the point that he is able to successfully lead a life where he doesn't have to conform to those dress standards and they never enter into his sphere. This can be accomplished any number of ways. You can run with a crowd that doesn't care, or you can just be Dave who wears sneakers to even funerals and everyone is just OK with it because he has got a PHD in astrophysics and solved the problem of space piss dribble.
Only those who are beholden to the rules have to actually follow them.
Pretty much all runners
Gonna get some more when income tax comes in
I need to step outside my comfort zone and get some boots and dress shoes
Those New Balance x Concepts are very nice to look at, I like the white Geobaskets too. Everything else seems okay but I wouldn't buy it myself, except possibly those black oxfords/derbies
You know, I was about to post my shoe collection but I won't. You know why? Because you guys are mean. You guys would've loved my shoe collection too. I take care of my shoes. I don't have only one pair of shoes. I have sneakers, boots and derbies. You guys would've loved to see em. But you know what? You guys are mean. That's why I'm not going to post them.
I hope you guys are happy.
I disagree. There are a lot of successful people on /fa/. You're just confusing the vocal minority of constant shit posters and fresh faces with the silent majority of lurkers who might only post a couple times a week in threads relevant to their interests
didn't get many replies in the last thread.

They become your friends; protecting your feet through any obstacles you face in life
And they become evidence of the experiences and stories you have lived through
Don't be sad, they're fine now.
Why? Because I don't baby my clothes. I'm not going to let my clothing dictate how I going to live.

Those are by Ann Demeulemeester, I can't say enough good things about her sneakers. The shape, construction and materials are beautiful.
Really cool idea, I didn't know that was possible.
Nice collection, are the Docs MiE?
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
semi off topic but does anybody have experience in dying canvas shoes that aren't white? dying white ones is simple enough but I'm trying to get a dark gray out of these baby blue ish gray converse. I'm not sure if a straight gray dye will actually get me the shade I want. anybody have any tips?

Whats with the blacked boxes? Did you sell off those pairs or something?
I have the same Purcells, how do you keep yours so pristine?
Nice collection, the paint-splatter ones are great.
You'd get more replies if you made it easier to see the shoes on the bottom and middle level.
This is a very pretty collection.
