^^^this. It's very frustrating when it comes to styling due to how straight and stubborn it is. Not to mention growing out the sides in it's mid stage is one of the most disgusting looking things in the world.
Best advice for Asian hair is to get it cut at an Asian salon. I go to a Korean place in the city I live near (northeast US), and they do a good job, but they're expensive as hell ($40) compared to the ones in Chinatown ($13). Try to go Chinatown if you can, and tip, unless you want to get thrown out of the place
