post 'em here
the only effay gibson guitar
Can't go wrong with an all-white start.
There's no such thing as an /fa/ guitar
Only /fa/ chords and notes
God tier: 7th chords and 9th chords
Shit tier: any type of melody containing predominantly e, b and d chord or note even if 7th or 9th variation
Pro tip: synesthesia sufferer here
hey now you can move out of your parents house.
>no love for the jazzy
bet you couldn't pull it out grandpa
If you can't play Closer to the Heart by Rush, are you really trying?
dude those are handmade one at a time by fano
you could probably buy like 2 or 3 good les pauls or teles instead for the money.
GOAT best of both worlds.
Fred knows whats up.
>basically anything i own
too faded to get any photos off my iPhone but here's my tele and a trio of 50's tube amps.
>squier guitar with decal sanded off and replaced with a fender one to try to pass it off as real.
lmao, so fucking tacky.
You're a complete loser if you play an offset guitar in 2015.
Give any respectable guitarist any kind of guitar, no matter the brand shape or how cheap it is he will still make it sound godlike. Sure it feels more comfortable to play a guitar worth more money where the frets have been taken care of properly (but that is something anyone can fix) it's more in the hands and technique
Tele Sucks, roshe of guitars. Jazzmasters =Cp achilles. Les Pauls are like hi tops, you either love or hate them, strats are like stan smith. Hollowed-out body is fedoracore
Absolutely nothing, squier makes perfect guitars for the price. J Mascis, frontman of dinosaur Jr, plays his squier sig Jazzmaster but replaced the neck because he wanted it with a thicker neck.
People who shit talk cheaper guitars tend too relay more on "the toooooone" instead of their actual skill
They're cheaper models are pretty bad, I hear a lot of complaints about their affinity and standard series guitar (I work at a music store).
Their classic vibe and vintage modified series are much better though, probably some of the best value guitar you can get for beginners or hobbyists.
musician fag here
vintage 58 tele into a 65 reissue twin
dont mind the board
Nothing wrong(my main guitar is indo made, and i own a les paul standard and les paul studio) but playing american/japanese instruments is nicer than playing indo/china (although korean instruments seem to be pretty nice) stuff IMO, you can tell the person actually gave a shit when they produced it.
Japanese guitars are fucking amazing man. I have a few older Tokai, Greco and Epiphone Japan guitars and they're crazy good and I only got them for 800ish.
Also have an Edwards thats technically made in China but with Japanese workers thats amazing as well.
Thx buddy. (Don't trigger the vintage autists tho)
Neck thru construction to ash body, got it for 2250e
that neck hnnng
And yeah but these vintage autists, they have never been open minded about newer instruments(especially extended range). Usually its 40 year olds on gibson forums tho, not teenagers on fa.
each to their own i guess.
you can play rock n roll with this thing tho, we just played whole lotta love with my conservatory's band, and we rocked the club.
you have a nice day anon.
Muh grail, minus the midi pad
Well i can actually buy it at the moment but cant justify it
ive always been a fan of the short scale on jaguars but theyre similar looking.
I'd say Lucy is the single most beautiful guitar, but she's a custom.
For mass production though I'd say it's the Gibson Es-355
great sound, looks good, cheap, durable - all in all a great guitar for somebody giving 0 fucks
>clueless beginner guitar player
>read this post
>try to play a few dominant 7th chords
>each and every one sounds dissonant as fuck
so yeah I have no idea what the fuck you are on about
could you post a couple of songs please?
>tfw the singer from Yuko Yuko has the same guitar as me
>tfw I talked to him
>tfw I went at least half autist
>Implying extended range is unique to new instruments.
> steel string guitars
oh i am laffin
> you will never play guitar for women on brazilian beaches
Not really a guitarfag, but I found myself captivated by this rundown of Nels Cline's gear. He's such an amazing guitarist and you can see from the video that he's passionate about all the little eccentricities of his equipment. I love everything about the Hopf at 11:50.
the type of chord is the only thing that matters
you can't differentiate between different notes, keys or tonal centers
ie a c major and a d major are only distinguishable when you compare them relative to one another
i don't go to /mu/ cause it's full of edgy teens (edgier than here) that don't know shit about their hobby yet feel better than everyone else and get pretentious as fuck but it's cringey af reading their opinions (sounds like here i know but it's ten thousand times worse)
/lit/ > /fa > /tv/ >>>>>>>>>> /mu/
>more entertaining, more unique/interesting posts, less hivemind, more mature
Rick basses are the sexiest!!!
Wish they made a small light guitar that looked like their basses.
kind of stupid. this is like an artist saying blue is god tier and red and yellow are shit tier, all chords have a use in getting to whatever feeling you're going for
people who dislike offsets can get fucked
Johnny Marr Jag here
best guitar i've ever owned
can play pretty much anything on here
neck pickup with the tone rolled back = great jazz tone
u wot m8
Did you pay $1,300 for a Mexican guitar? First I'm surprised it's not American. Second, for that price you could have bought either a used MIA or a MIJ with spare money for upgrades.
fender have been really milking their non-american lines for a while now
that being said
mexican made fenders have seen a really nice spike in quality over these last few years
same with squiers
the squier classic vibe line is the best for the price out there atm
got myself a classic vibe duo sonic for $300
chinese made, but a really good guitar
there is no difference between a MIM and a MIA....
literally mexicans making both variations. there is no difference in quality and you're buying into faux craftsmanship. you're a tool.
My custom made LP Jr/Tele mashup. Swamp ash body, handwound pickups, and pretty much top of the line hardware all around.
