You can tell most of reddit are losers.
The type of people who think epic meal time is "awesome" and go to shitty bars and brag about microbrews and thinks being "punny" is the greatest thing ever.
Every post some early 30s failed theater girl or ex band girl makes a post about liking belts some kid responds and humblebrags about how many belts he has and how all HIS sneakers look kewl and should get the portland oregon or san franciscan try so hard to be hipster but not quite hip pussy
I honestly hate the world and people who act up beat and likeable with every fucking thing they say is a lie because they avoid conflict and differing opions at all cost
anyone remember this? that was so fun
the images weren't picked because they were good or bad. if i recall correctly that girl in the middle posted something disparaging about 4chan on reddit and then /fa/ went on a crusade and doxed her and got a bunch of photos of her and her reddit groupies and jizzed on them and posted them on /r/ffa. i'm trying to find the reddit threads but i think they deleted them
>mfw i see an mfa faggot irl
He was wearing a uniqlo button down with raybans hanging on them, raw denim and desert boots
>Very much agreed. Every now and then I delete my reddit account, take a break, and then come back a few months later with a new account. It's the only way I can handle a website like reddit. I like FFA very much but reddit as a website just kind of angers me a lot of the time.
why are so many women on the internet deluded and insane
i think its good that people are taking more of an interest in how they look these days
everybody around where i live is morbidly obese and exclusively wears neon runners with torn sweatpants
the rest of 4chan is practically retarded when it comes to fashion. occasionally you'll see a daily outfit thread on /b/ or /r9k/
they don't know any better than reddit does, trust me
Everyone makes fun of mfa for this but it really is true. Most users don't give a shit about fashion, they just want to improve their appearance to try and get girls. That's why you see so many guides and lists, because they don't care and just want a list of stuff to buy from the Gap or Uniqlo. Apparantly all you need in your wardrobe is a tan pair of chinos, a few buttons up shirts, desert boots, and killshots.
From OP reddit thread:
- If guys want good advice they should go to /r/malefashionadvice
- Hahaha. Oh, you were serious? Let me laugh harder. HAHAHA.
99% of MFA consists of middle class 22 year olds who just discovered they can't get a real job dressed in oversized cargo shorts, so they ask each other where to find cheap, fitted chinos and OCBDs, and knockoff Red Wings.
If you want good advice, go browse magazines, real designers' collections, online stores, etc, and start to determine what looks good on your own. Also, don't go around asking things like where to find good-looking and high quality tee shirts for $5 each, and complain how cheap they are at Target, and if you could just wear those instead.
TL;DR: MFA is mostly pudgy or gangly nerds who jerk-off to designer pieces they will never afford, while trying to find the cheapest ways to imitate them (with consistently poor results). Don't go there.
/fa/ was complete shit before 2012
dadcore spammer saved the board from having an h&m opening up near your house being an accomplishment and lookbook/sartorialist fits being something to aspire to
this was a grail-tier fit back then
>TL;DR: MFA is mostly pudgy or gangly nerds who jerk-off to designer pieces they will never afford, while trying to find the cheapest ways to imitate them (with consistently poor results). Don't go there.
But that's exactly /fa/.
I gotta say, MFA is a better board than /fa/ - not that I like or visit MFA, god forbid. The thing is MFA is named "Men's fashion advice" and that's just what they do, they give fashion advice to men.
On the hand /fa/ is named "fashion", but all people discuss here is fashion advice. Nobody here own actual designer pieces, nobody knows shit about he fashion industry, and everyone needs their hand held for every cop. This is not "fashion", it should be renamed in "4chan fashion advice".
MFA is better board than /fa/.
I think if you're working and don't have to wear a suit but also don't want to look like you can't be assed to look presentable this can look quite good. It isn't offensive and it certainly isn't ugly.
What if someone told those bitches to shave and how to dress, imagine the feminazi outrage. Bunch of basic bitches thinking they know fashion just because they're women and a bunch of white knights, fuck reddit.
Hah, I hear you brother.
I live in a place referred to in danish as "udkants danmark", which translate to edge-of-denmark.
People are generally poorly educated and live here because of cheap houses and apartments. I make fastfood and work in a grocery store to get some bucks so I see everyone coming in and out. I never see anyone well dressed.
People simply don't care here. God I hate this place.
You know sieg, you're usually a huge faggot but this time you hit the nail on the head completely.
>The type of people who think epic meal time is "awesome"
This phrase in particular speaks the truth, the amount of times someone describes something completely mundane as being "awesome" is directly proportional to how huge a faggot that person is.
Most of what they're saying is just "be muscular".
Girls don't know how they want men to dress, they just want their men to be muscular.
Those aren't pin rolls, you don't even know what pin rolls are, you just think you do and you think that makes you better than others but even if you did it wouldn't. The fact that your sense of superiority from knowing this small detail itself stems from a delusion makes you even more pathetic.
Some people on here do own designer pieces though. I do, and there are others too
It doesn't really reflect on the board though, because the vast majority might aswell be posting on mfa and most posters who actually could post something decent aren't doing it, except for a handful
Niggers, when will they learn.
Hey /fa/ how do I quit being interested in clothes? Shit like this is causing me serious rage.
Do I quit giving a fuck by wearing really simple basics? Or just cheap stuff? But then I'm secretly giving a fuck...
>There is no way out... point of no return.
The funny thing is I've been early in those threads and everyone is downvoting each other and upvoting themselves because they want that top karma MFA fame.
They don't realize how much of a cesspool they're in.
Also sort by new for top kek some days.
Having an interest in clothes and being enraged by this kind of thing doesn't really have anything to do with each other
Just accept the fact that the vast majority have no clue what they're talking about, and despite this will try to give others advice thinking they know what they're talking about. This goes for pretty much everything
then move on
off of the top of my head i honestly can't think of worse piece of clothing than a v-neck
fedoras are cringe but their cliché and if you're wearing one you're probably wearing it ironically, people still wear v-necks unironically
Did MFA took over all /fa/ clothes? I see quasas, acne, slp, visvim. All thethe fashion words. http://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/326u4k/mfa_springsummer_starter_pack_2015_uk_edition
The problem with MFA has nothing to with what they wear. Most people worldwide are basic and being basic isn't necessarily bad. The problem is redditors are all the same kind of default nerdy IT/engineering drone person who now feel validated by having their interests featured in mainstream culture. I get that 4chan is a terrible place and /fa/ is a circlejerk too but it's all about being mean instead of being nice and that, at least, leads to less widespread embarrassment.
>Suspenders AND belt for the win.
what the fuck
>Where cool shoes. You can get away with just a clean t-shirt, but please don't wear ugly sneakers!
>For those men who are wondering what good shoes are. They are sleek fresh shoes. Not the "corporate" dress shoe that's made out of cheap rubber and looks overall bad, but rather the "ceo" dress shoe, which is a bit more in price, but lasts longers, it looks fitted to your feet like a suit is fitted to your body, they look damn good, and they make a sound of a man when you walk. I am a man and in business I do not care how good the suit looks. I care about the shoes. They are the proof whether the man can dress him self well or not.
Fucking god srsly "ceo dress shoe"
>Slightly advanced: get a nice leather belt for your jeans or cloth trousers - make sure it is a casual one though, because dressy suit belt + any non-suit pants looks silly. Also, match your belt and shoes - do not wear a black leather belt with brown leather shoes (same goes for the other way around, too). Brown leather shoes + brown leather belt do not have to match 100% but the shade should not be too far apart. A good belt + shoes combo really ties an outfit together and a casual but proper leather belt instantly upgrades jeans look. My boyfriend actually got pretty nice basic belts from H&M.
SLIGHTLY ADVANCED????? How fucking retarded are people on reddit. I hope I never become such a cuck as her bf.
I agree with this completely.
I'd like to go a bit further
I think /r/mfa is composed of people who are more worried about compliments than actually looking good or being remotely fashionable. I pretty sure everyone who browses mfa posts thinking "the internet is such a harsh place and if they say it's good it MUST be good!". Having points attached to your posts is the main problem, it makes the post/thread turn into a hug fest where people will only say nice things to boost their points, and in their minds, their "credibility". I have no idea why reddit created comment karma because every fucking post turns into a circle jerk (except for AMA's I guess). Everyone is afraid to be critical because it might harm their reputation.
I don't even browse mfa but how can you honestly think /fa/ isn't a complete embarrassment that you should be ashamed to admit you browse.
>the masochistic tripfag infighting
>the waifu/modelfu, tfw no gf shit or general displays of being a defunct human being
>the wannabe male model shit
>the stupid pigfuck racewar shit
>the fact that a majority of the posters here have all had the same exact stylistic progression that was completely dictated by stupid prevalent ideas that were memed on this board
>the fact that most people have no experience in the context of fashion/design rather than just using their parents money or their menial pay to make siqq cops
This board seriously sucks dick for any sort of fashion information or valuable perspective from people who are in the know. I mean I find exceptions every once in a while but this board is for the most part complete garbage.
>that's like judging /fa/ from /v/tards or /r9k/ or something
you know there are a lot of /v/ermin and autismos here
superior crossboarders: /a/utists, pseudo-inti/lit/uals, /g/ay cyberpunkfags on the dead lunarcore trend
what this board is made of: /mu/tards
the shit: everyone
>Skinny jeans on men are a huge NO for me... Fitted fine but skinny no!
>This is probably too late but there are some great tips here
*aaargh buzzefeedde linkage** http://www.buzzfeed.com/juliegerstein/clothes-make-the-man
>Plaid shirts are a turn on. Why don't guys understand this?!
>Black pants? Then black shoes and black belt! The only time black and brown belong together is on a ship to America.
made me chuckle if it is a slave joke
>Khakis and button ups do not make you look gay, they make you look professional yet somewhat casual.
>Please wear more v neck shirts. To add clarification, a male v neck should NOT Be as low cut as a women's cleavage v neck. A male v neck should end just below the collar bone.
>HAIR. Ask for POMPADOUR FADE. (Pomp.Ah.Door. fade) cheapest, sexiest cut IMO. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/9b/12/21/9b1221dc0b725fdd4fc894a4c2e7573b.jpg
if you visit reddit youre a fucking retard
>>the fact that a majority of the posters here have all had the same exact stylistic progression that was completely dictated by stupid prevalent ideas that were memed on this board
isn't that literally just a "trend"? anyways yeah, /fa/ has pretty bad faults; pretty much any fashion community that isn't dead is terrible
I don't think there are any communities that are decent for anything
>Skinny jeans on men are a huge NO for me... Fitted fine but skinny no!
Reading this is when I realized that people on Reddit model their appearance around the opportunity to fuck women instead of making themselves happy. I wear skinny jeans and literally the only person who has said anything is this montage-parody tier faggot. It's 2015 and people in America still don't realize that not every guy wants to wear a Nike pullover daily and fitted chinos when they want to impress girls. Shit got me heated
I know exactly what you mean. I live close to Vejle and Horsens and many people don't know shit about dressing here. There's a lot of those johnny types who wear an Adidas track jacket, royal sweatpants and Nike Shox. Fucking disgusting if you ask me.
>women of reddit
The average woman doesn't know shit about men's fashion. I fucking hate it when people think that women in general are some sort of fashion experts when most of them are really pleb as fuck.
Yeah, that's very true.
But I'm guessing the thread and basically all of mfa (with the exception of people that actually know how to dress like Theo etc) are focused on how to look passable to girls.
/fa/ is actually a - hobbyist - board, so that's why I'd say generally the stuff here is better. If you want to develop your own taste instead of being quickly put into a cookie cutter outfit by the internet then hobbyist boards and style forums are much better
>all those redditors saying stans are ugly as fuck
What's next? Hating on the superstars?
and your toe nails too! PLEASE. Please cut them BOTH, I know far too many guys who only reluctantly trim their fingernails and ignore their feet until it's beyond horrifying down there.
theres people out there who actually dont cut their fingernails nor trim their hair nor shower, literal barbarians
fucking disgusting, i find myself eating my fingernails and grooming my hair unconsciously
basic as fuck bit like what the third gril in the bottom row did, nice concept but still rather basic
>dat amazonian qt in the bottom row tho
next to those bunch of white pasty fat americans, this chick is a solid 8 lmfao
and the asian guy on the far left, chill as fuck
>they just want to improve their appearance to try and get girls
but thats wrong, in any angle possible, you dont love other unless you love yourself, its like saying
>hurrh i´m going to wear this garment that i dont like and makes me feel uncomfortable just go get girls
No it isn't you retard. Ricardo Tisci was the youngest couturier in history. He is regarded as one of the best designers currently, by every fashion professional.
Nobody cares for your APC and Stan Smiths wearing pleb opinion.
This is because you've never owned a Givenchy piece, or you would know it. The materials and cuts are absolutely insane, and beyond anything anyone else does. After you buy your first Givenchy Columbian fit tee, you'll have a hard time buying anything else.
That thread, is just; netflix binging ugg & leggings wearing women, talking about what they saw a man that turns them on wears, cringeworthy but don't pay much heed to this shit.
>Personally, I hate most guys' choice in leather shoes. Square toes..maybe with jeans...any color, doesn't matter. Maybe a leather jacket thrown in. Hate it!! What would be better? Tennis shoes, leather boots, canvas slip ons...I dunno.
