please suggest similar songs
Mostly post-rock, ambient, drone and I secretly have undying love for emo/screamo. Really I just love any music with a real dissonant feeling
damn son, looks like a girl i know irl.
she suffers from an eating disorder and some fucker took advantage of her insecurity and married her when she was vulnerable.
>mfw he is the ugliest motherfucker
she lived in buttfuck nowhere, so the male gene pool was limited. smh.
Yes, well sort of, if you're going to be a little bitch and go full muh skramz mode on me, yeah those can be pretty different. But a lot of bands did some really nice combinations of both. There are very few bands that I have ever listened to that fit into one specific genre
Oh nice. Can you share a few of your favorite songs?
Sure, in no order...
Freddie Gibbs - Thuggin
Kendrick - m.A.A.d city
Schoolboy Q - Hoover Street/Los Awesome
Kanye - Coldest Winter, Lost in the World, Blame Game
Too many to count, yo.
Ree, if you were this bearable at least 85% of the time, you would feel a lot better about yourself and you'd realize the only people who talked shit were insecure angry children like you used to be.
Out of those, my list goes:
1. Kendrick (Loved him since Overly Dedicated, TPAB was beautiful)
2. Gibbs (one of the realest rappers of all time, his delivery and flow is insane, especially over Madlib's beats on Piñata)
3. Kanye (It's fuckin' Kanye, the goat. Don't listen to Yeezy much but MBDTF is still in rotation, as is his earlier stuff. His most recent features have been insane as well)
4. Death Grips (After listening to OG Maco and ASAP Ferg I've realized I really like loud, shouty rappers going crazy over trap beats. What is Death Grips but crazy-ass MC Ride screaming over drums? Exmilitary is goat)
5. ASAP Ferg (Trap Lord is a phenomenal album, love almost every song. But his latest mixtape Ferg Forever is on replay right now, there's so many great tracks with great production, and Ferg's style is so varied and fun to listen to, it never gets boring)
6. Drake (What is there to say? If You're Reading This is still in rotation, and I admit he's not technically the best lyrically or flow wise but I just really like the guy and his music)
I also listen to OG Maco (Check out the OG Maco EP), Jay Electronica, and Travis Scott. Very interested in Glasses Malone, his recent drop Thuggin' is on repeat right now, his voice and his lyrics are so unique and authentic sounding.
I like your list. I'm not the biggest drake fan but he's got a few songs that I still listen to a lot. If you like loud stuff you should check out Clipping - CLPPNG. Came out last year, I love that album.
But yeah, praise to Kendrick the GOAT. S80 onwards gets a pounding on my Spotify
Faith No More
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Lots of stand-up comedy
Guaranteed zero overlap with anyone on /fa/ apart from maybe some hipsters who like Cave
No u dumb read the post, I said no one on /fa/. Ofc nirvana isn't niche lord almighty, but I really doubt anyone here listens to those bands as /fa/ is basically just an even further diluted /mu/ from what I've seen in every one of these threads so far, and in this one.
Kanye West - Runaway on an infinite loop since the day it's been released
It's not just 90s alternative, that's just my favourite genre out of them. It'd be pointless naming 20 or so bands all from different genres/eras because that wouldn't give any indication really, it'd just seem like I like a lot of nothing
This is getting out of hand as a buzzword, those are literally the least snowflake bands on earth unless you count tumblrites who know like 10 songs. Most of the crowd at a soundgarden gig is like mullets and long hair
>Yeezy reupholstered my pussy
Been listening to a bunch of his stuff today, I'm really tired and was feeling sad but it picked me up a bit
running with the wolves, but just one song released. album is coming in a few weeks. 5th of may if i remember correctly
Anybody like Dads? Saw them with TWIABP when they first released Whenever, If Ever (back before they got that shitty spoken word vocalist). Got a high five from Greg from The World Is.
>tfw I tell people I bought a physical of 1989 and they look at me weird
>tfw I try to explain it's actually really good
Shouldn't be shit on just because it's T. Swift. It didn't leave my CD player for a month after I bought it.
i listen to alot but it has been alot of hip hop lately
pro tip: if you listen to future bass, pop, any American rapper, or Death Grips you are automatically un /fa/
>black metal (especially atmospheric/ambient bm)
>heavy/old school power metal
ANYONE TURBOFOLK HERE? CMON MY SLAV BROTHERS
Soundgarden aren't a meme band at all in my opinion, out of the big few grunge bands of the early-mid 90s I'd say they're the least well known. Maybe AIC is less widespread amongst the plebs but that's it. I'd say most people only know Black Hole Sun, or at least that's what my experience has been. Nirvana are one of the top meme bands ever but the opinions of others aren't going to stop me from liking a band that I think had great music. Plus I grew up with Nirvana, they're really a huge part of my musical side so I doubt I'll ever lose touch with them.
(just a disclaimer, I'd say that "meme bands" would be more stuff like radiohead, death grips, swans and the asap crew than pretty much irrelevant bands like Nirvana and SG but whatever)
Didn't think anyone would listen to Regurgitator heaps on here, I saw them live once on a tiny stage and fell in love when they did a like angry version of I Will Lick Your Asshole with the bleeps replaced with Quan screaming. Loved them ever since. Not even from australia but they're sik
>I Will Lick Your Asshole with the bleeps replaced with Quan screaming
Yeah, that became a regular thing. I've seen them about 15 times and never get sick of them. This thread is like /mu/ where everyone's trying to out-indie each other with weak as piss music about fey hipsters being aloof. Fuck em.
it's surprising that nobody has mentioned ben frost yet
Yeah it's pretty crinny but honestly it could be worse, I'm guessing most of the people in this thread are under 19, if not all of them, so in comparison to a lot of the folks their age even bland hipster stuff is ok. It's not bad music tbh it's just a shame when it's 90% of what you listen to.
I really loved Regurgitator live cos it was obvious that no one knew who they were and they were playing to a way smaller crowd than they deserved but they had fun and rocked it like they were playing for thousands. Really chill dudes. I wanna see them really bad now that I know their discography. If I hear that they're ever coming back, I think I'm gonna try get my shitpiece band a spot opening for them seeing as we play relatively similar music and we're like the only band around that isn't metalcore, hardcore or indie.
Just across the ditch, live in Auckland. I'd give you it but honestly there's nothing to give right now hahaha we've been kicking around for a few years but didn't bother to make ourselves known until we were confident in our music and had a decent amount of stuff. Only just made a facebook page and hardly do anything on it, and we don't have a soundcloud or anything cos we're doing it the old fashioned way; releasing our music. Unfortunately we're all broke cunts so releasing our music is a bit of a challenge, currently two songs off of an EP that's been in production for fucking months. Just can't get it done.
It's all good though, we really only jam for fun so the fact that we're even recording is pretty impressive to us
Crust, d beat, crossover, grind, noise.
Like disordet, discharge, anti cimex, zyanose, crow, concrete sox, ent, sore throat, sacrilege, don don, effigy, napalm death, voivod, mercyful fate, broken bones, gism, gauze, ghost, doom, deviated instinct, antisect, misery , ect.
Mah nigga. It's scary how similar our tastes are.
I'm just going to drop my last.fm here in hopes that you're still in this thread, will see the reply, and have a last.fm yourself.
Currently listening to a lot of 80's pop and stuff like Blondie (inb4 70's), Depeche mode, INXS and odd songs like to shy and go insane, all the pet shop boy's stuff, Franz Ferdinand, STRFKR and Big Data
but I tend to get tired of what I like every few months, kind of liking The Bombay Royal right now as well.
My Disco - Paradise
nothing was the same. Before that me and my woes listened to 'if youre reading this its too late'
how does /fa/ feel about Sonic Youth
one of the GOATs but you dun goofed by posting one of their most cliched tunes.
Have this instead:

Scanned thread and nobody fucks with Italians Do It Better? Damn it, /fa/
My cousin showed it to me at my pap pap's wake.
MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO
And various Eurodance hits because I love old mainstream music.
