Started going to the gym about a year ago.
Lost about 12kg since but I've been stuck at 100 for the last 3-4 months
I've cut most unhealthy things from my diet. I still go to the gym 3 times a week and I'm generally active everyday.

What ways are there to get calcium other than dairy?
Most water is adequately high in calcium. If you eat plenty of vegetables and plant foods you will always get enough calcium. The whole calcium thing is the biggest meme ever, pushed by the dairy industry of course.

How much do you exercise per week /fit/?
I swim 6 times + I hit the gym 3-4 times per week.
Earlier this year i was over 300 pounds. Not sure exactly how much.
In the past half of a year i've done everything i can to lose the weight in a healthy manner.
There were times of weakness. I used to be bulimic and nearly slipped into my old habits.
I almost bought Dnp
/fit/ helped alot. Someone recommended keto.
Now i'm 80 pounds lighter. My skin is holding me back though.

pic related (i do chinups on mondays and rows on fridays), another difference is power cleans on wednesday before deadlifts.
i warmup before every workout with a full body stretch and 20 pushups, squats, and curl ups.
when i'm done i end with 5 minutes of intense cardio (5.0 incline, 5.0 mph)

Got ligament damage in my shoulder. Been told to stay away from bench and anything overhead or risk fucking it.
I want to lose weight fast. At the moment im at a 1700 calorie defecit and jogging around 20 minutes a day. Am I supposed to be working out still? Not really looking for strength increasements, just wondering if theres a point to working out while doing cardio.
Also, does it help to wear more clothes to increase sweating?

jogging 20 minutes a day doesn't mean much, track how far you're actually going and put a number on it, and speed yourself up/go faster overtime. it's really easy to plateau on cardio.

Hey /fit/ Im lookin to start lifting after new year.
Im not pic related but not far, 183cm with 74kg. I dont want to get ripped like crazy, I want to gain some weight and muscle. And yes its problem for me, since I have crazy ass metabollism, I wake up at night if I dont eat big bed time meal. My biggest achivment wast to break 70kg line without weed enchanced weekend of munching. But I dont want to get belly fat and look like ball with sticks.
Can you point me to routines for beginers, what shoud I watch for and do I need to diet hard?

/fit/ I am a bit worried and need some advice. I used to do assisted pullups but switched to lat pulldowns instead. My problem is, my left shoulder hurts a bit when I pulldown, and it feels kind of clicky. I can overhead press just fine at the moment, it's just this exercise that messes me up. I always do the pulldowns at the end of my workout.
I tried some stretching before attempting the exercise but no luck. Should I scrap pulldowns and do negatives or something else? I only started lifting 2 months ago and don't want to fuck myself up already.

just recently gotten into the diet aspect of lifting. Gong into my first cutting phase. Look at online BMI calculators, only ask age,height,weight. Body fat insanely high. Buy calipers and have a friend do 7 point test. BMI half of what they said online.
Now, i am looking at calorie intake for cutting. None of the online calculators or formulas take into consideration my body fat number. Wont their number be really screwed like the online calculators were? whats the point in checking body fat before each phase if it isnt taken into account for anything?
You use body fat to guage how much weight you're losing from fat and how much weight you lose from muscle. If your deficit is more than 20-25% of maintenance, you will burn muscle.

Okay, so in the past 3 weeks I've been losing weight, and at first I dropped a bit, from 325 to 310, but now for 3 days I havent lost a pound, my weight is hardly even fluctuating at night and first thing in the morning after my piss.
A couple of bmr calculators say I need 2400cal to maintain my weight, but others say I need 3800, which is a huge difference. I've been eating on average 2,000cal a week. If I do only need 2,400cal, I need to cut harder right?
