Designated aside, this is obviously roids right? I mean even if he had a dietitian and a trainer, 5 months to lose that weight and gain that much muscle makes it feel redundant to even ask the question. But still, despite some of the meme exercises, the dedication, discipline and effort required to get that progress within that timeframe is pretty inspirational desu
Goddamnit. Squatting 3 plates in like 2 or 3 months.
What the fuck am I even going to the gym for? Why bother staying natty?
This fucking guy is just off the street doing my goal weight, yes he's on roids. If he wasn't why the fuck are so many people on this site struggling to make the same gains when they're doing most everything right?
Also that kind of change in five months would be absurd as a natty.
Not taking anything away from the guy but god damn.
>quick fuck/ never meet your friends is thicc
>wife/ show to friends is thinn
>midway through set
>remember something funny and start laughing
>lose strength and fail set
>look like an autistic sperg laughing at nothing
>go to cable machine
>set it to highest setting and attach triceps pushdown bar
>remember I'm actually supposed to be doing face pulls and fix it like an autist
I do this almost every pull day. Very awkward
my friend passed away
how do i get through this
never have i had a person i thought of dearly pass away in my recent memory so this is the first time i really had to deal with a death...
...even with death, are we all going to make it?
Just need to keep on moving on, things get easier.
Have had two of my closest friends die, one of them a suicide.
Things can be hard sometimes, and I do miss some sleep even after some years, but things get better if you keep trying.
A good anolgy is that you have a wound. and you put a bandage on it. The next morning you wake up and wash out that wound and it hurts and you re bandage it. You do that every dya until youre left with a scar and then you learn to care for that scar. You're not trying to go back to the man you were before. You are now trying to become a new person and learning to deal with it. Good luck anon I hope you heal in time.
>tfw you have a oneitis at the gym
Im not gonna make it.
This is absolute torture, I'm sorry. Mine lasted like 4 months and then just this last month it started to fade.
It's weird, but it's kind of a relief to just not care anymore. Either my heart finally accepted what my brain knew all along (that it was never meant to be) or I just got exhausted of wanting and caring so much about somebody that didn't care about me.
I finally feel free but at the same time disappointed that I invested so much feeling and time only to get nothing in return.
Hey, first time in /fit/, just started going to the gym for the first time in my life and cutting out most carbs just eating meat and vegetables. Need to loose about 15 pounds but also want to tone the muscle. I have been on the gym about 1 1/2 weeks but I don't really know what machines should I go for to get /fit/. I'd appreciate any help
The only machines you should use are:
Weight lifting burns almost no calories per hour compared to above
But augmenting cardio with some free weight training would improve your ability to retain muscle while cutting as long as you are eating appropriately

I've been trying to lose weight since June
I was 213 lbs back then
Today... I'm at 215 lbs
I love food and eating. I count calories and go way over every day anyways
The scale is stuck and I'm afraid I'll always be living in this body. I wish there was an eating plan I could stick to that outlined food that is allowed and calories to stay below. I need fuckin help
how do you keep being motivated to stay /fit/?
I usually get on a groove of doing exercises and eating well for about a week then get unmotivated and go back to sitting all day and eating pizza for the rest of the month.
>motivation in 2016
willpower or bust. motivation is a meme.
if you don't want it then you don't want it. stay unremarkable.
I have a shoulder injury that never was healed correctly and my wrists tend to have some fairly significant pain when I bench near my max. I just saw an Athlean-x video where he recommends a reverse grip bench press to replace the regular bench. I was wondering if that was a retarded idea or not? I would probably deload a decent amount to be safe but to me it would make sense that it'd be good for folks in my position. I was wondering if I could do this for OHP as well? With OHP the only thing that bothers me is the wrists, my shoulder feels fine. Thoughts?
no because dumbell requires more stabilizers and is infact harder at lower weight, BUT you won't be constricted to a fixed ROM like on a bar so you can compensate for your limited shoulder mobility
I have been lifting for 8ish months and have been doing ChestxBackxShouldersxLegsxUpperbody then two days of rest. Should I switch over to 5x5? My only worry is that my lifts won't go up and or that I won't work my chest and arms enough for them to grow.
Literally what the fuck
Why do chest and shoulders need to be separated?
Why would you only work legs once a week?
Why not just start off with SS or SL?
What the fuck are you even doing, doing such a god awful split as your first routine. You're afraid of doing 5x5 because you don't want to lose your gains, literally what gains would you even make on that stupid routine? Do you have any...

quit avoiding squats
Am I balding or is this normal?
How long does it take to get better at running? I just ran 3 miles in 30 minutes and I want to bring it down to 6-7 minutes per mile. If I stick at it, could I reach this by summer?
just keep running
gradually increase distance and as your stamina goes up, you can increase speed too
also set a feasible goal, there's a huge gap between doing 6 minutes per mile vs 7 minutes per mile
when I was in high school I ran XC for a year, I did my first 5k at 24 mins and when I finished the season I was at 18 mins
but that took a lot of work
sorry for blog
Does durian kill gains?
Need a new routine, focused on esthetics. I want to go to the gym 6 days a week. Also, routine thread. SS shoo shoo
Let's do 1 mode thread
Does anyone else do dumbbell skull crushers instead of barbell? I switched to try it and instantly started making more gains. Also, what's an impressive weight to skull crush?
Mfw when switching to dumbbell skull crushers cured my elbow tendonitis
I push the 50s for reps of 10-12
That first sip of the day
how did lifters back in the day commonly overhead press 200 pounds for reps and above? were they just higher test?
I get there problems judging it but I think removing it ultimately damaged the sport of Oly lifting in the long run. It disconnected it too much from what people could connect with emotionally from their own gym experiences and as a spectator sport.
Monday: 1 hour cardio, upper body liftin
Tuesday: 1 hour cardio, lower body liftin
Wednesday: 1 hour cardio
Thursday: 1 hour cardio, upper body liftin
Friday: 1 hour cardio, lower body liftin
Saturday: day off
Sunday: 1 hour cardio
Is this overkill? Is it okay to do this during a cut or during bulking?
Dude, put one more rest day. It's okay, i admire your determination to do it but you're gonna ran out of will after the first week. Now, as for the physical aspect, you can handle it, you'll put more strain on your body but you can. It depends on some things
For example: On your cardio sessions - How fast are you running? Does it include HIIT?
Can I use the boxing bag in the gym for cardio? Or will I look like an autist?
If you know how to box sure. I've been doing Muay Thai for years and die a little every time I see someone at my normal gym throwing bare handed haymakers at the bag.
If you don't know how to properly throw a punch you're gonna fuck up your wrists real quick
iv been lifting for 11 months and im still doing baby weight

trap train coming thu
So /fit/, which is better? Being a swole, ripped manlet (less than 5'10), or being a tall thicc bastard (think fat-strong unaesthetic rugby player who is 6'3), I'm the latter and I'm curious as to what you'd all prefer
>trying to justify being a manlet
Height rules and always will because its genetic, you are born with it and you can't get it naturally any other way. Thats why bitches love height, genetic superiority
Maybe, feels like it has to be one or the other though if you're natty and try to lead a normal life, being 6'3 is fun but being absolutely shredded looks quite attractive as well. Plus I always have manlets try and act alpha around me which usually prompts an argument when i laugh at them
my baby nephew has a manlet dad and womanlet mom and is at the fifth percentile for growth right now.
how do I begin convincing them that HGH is just something that needs to happen?
I"m 5'7.448421" myself and while there are certainly dudes worse off than me, I know my life would have been easier with another few inches.
How many calories is this??
how do i find a shirt that fits
just normal t shirts
medium is a good fit around the chest, maybe slightly too tight, but it hangs down over my waist and makes me look like a phat phaggot
large fits comfortably around my chest and the sleeves get filled up when i flex (which is nice) but the sagging is ungodly and makes me look like a fridge made of lard
what's your gymbro like /fit/?
can he outlift you?
how'd you meet?
don't have a gymbro, load up the gymbro finding app called grindr, you'll find a gymbro in no time!
Hey /fit/, what are your thoughts on the reverse grip bench press?
