Are there any natural ways to reduce eye strain?
Actually yes I have some tips. If your eye strain is more linked to staring at screens for too long than anything else, there's this free downloadable program to reduce the amount of blue light that comes from your computer screen and replace it with a nicer reddish light - that blue light is harsh on your eyes around night time and is the most probable culprit for your eye strain.
It's called flux, look it up on google, you can also toggle it to alter the light color on your screen depending on the time of day.
why am I so much weaker on shoulder press machine than actual dumbell shoulderpress
today I tried the shoulder press machine, I could only just about do 25kg for 10 reps, but when I use dumbells for overhead press I can do 40kg for 10 reps. Why? Is my form shit? to be fair it did sort of feel like my shoulders were working more on the machine
Probably because the range of motion of the machine does not fit the natural movement of your shoulders.
Try using a barbell instead.
I usually don't do squats due to my knees been all stiff and locked. It kinda hurts my knees. Is this physiological or do I just need to squat more frequently.
My squat is really low compared to my other lifts
Just finished reading the sticky, maybe I skimmed over it but from a physiological standpoint why is a routine that focuses purely on compound movements promoted for a beginner, over say a routine that places emphasis on both compounds and isolation, which seem to be reserved mostly for intermediate and advanced lifters.
A friend who has been training for 10 years showed me the routine in the attached image and said it would be ideal for a beginner since it has compounds mixed in with isolation movements.
Anyone care to weigh in on this.
