/fit/ serious question.
I have never had defined abs but now I want them.
I've lost 100 lbs and have built some arm muscles.
Pic not so related.
However, the only equipment I have to work with are:
2. Weight Bench and weights of course
3. Exercise Ball
4. That pulley rack thing, I don't know...
Can you help me build a good exercise routine with this equipment?
Finally have a fit gf but I feel my body is not enough to keep her around.
I have 1 month until she gets back from holidays.
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Hopefully a simple question
Why do the following two things happen:
Where you can bang out 5 reps for 3 sets, but adding even a little more weight results failure pretty quickly
Losing Strength between workouts:
One week you can diddly 4pl8 five times, the next you can only do 170kg twice before you fail. Why?
a few sidenotes about myself: I'm not a beginner, I'm at least intermediate, and i also diet properly etc etc.
Just wanted to share my birthday cake with you guys that my gf made.
Thanks for another great year /fit
Apparently fondant is hard to work with. Awesome cake though.

What's so bad about half squats?
They're bad for you knees.
I've been working for 2 months and it fucking sucks. People told me that it will boost up my morale and confidence, but all it has done was to exhaust me. I wish a had spent my time another way. I quit. It's useless anyways.
For those of you who are straight up bulking like mad cunts, I'm talking 4000, 5000 or 6000+ kcal a day for the hardest of you guys,
what do you eat in the morning?
~150 grams of oats, adding bunch of butter or strawberry jam to it (it's the only sweet thing I like, strawberry jam on oatmeal dem sugars thu)
+ 200-400ml whole milk
+ sometimes rye bread with some cheese and maybe an egg inbetween
ez 900-1200 kcal
>tfw sex is less about enjoying the other person's body and more about enjoying the attention of someone enjoying your own body
Is this what fitness narcissism feels like? I no longer deeply care about the features of women and instead care for the attention and admiration that comes from someone else touching me and complimenting me.
I don't know how to feel about this.
Opinion on cutting for like 3 months without lifting? Just a lot of cardio.
i am trying a hybrid method where i cut for 3 months and give my body a break from heavy lifting
then ill get back into lifting with less cardio
currently running 9 times a week with no lifting at the moment, starting again in January
Is there a way to discreetly test someone for autism without their knowledge?
Autism has very specific traits. If you know what to look for you don't even have to talk to that person and/or his/her parents.
A simple example, an autistic children has almost always a strong attachment to metallic or rigid objects, like a can for example. It's a fetish object. He will bring around this specific object everywhere he goes.
And more stuff like that..
So I started "lifting" like four months ago and the first time I came into the gym after cold turkey signing up, I told the instructor that I was going to do 5x5. At that point, I just stepped off the train to Auschwitz so I believed him when he said "no you cannot start with free weights, you will have to build some stamina and strength first, it's like stepping in a Ferrari when you barely have your license".
So he made a routine for me which involved machines which had a 1 to 12 grading system (no weight visible). I followed that routine for like a month after which I got a new one which involved actual machines (pretty much same routine but now with weights adjustable).
A month after that he got me on a new routine which involves machines with much more flexibility in the weights. The machines all have names on them, but I just memorized the cycle I am following, not the names of the workout (the machines are branded "hammer strength" is what I remember). I am doing that for something like a month now.
So over that time span of a few months, I made great increments in weight being able to pull/lift and according to their scale I also put on circa 5 kilos of muscle without growing in bf%. I still look a bit from ottermode but I feel stronger, look better without shirt and I enjoy going to the gym.
In the first week of January I will have a new meeting. What do you think of all this? Is this bad progress? Is the instructor right? He isn't anti-freeweights as I have seen him training and he does only freeweights (squats, dls, ohp et cetera). So what should I say to him?
You should definitely be able to do freeweights by now. Actually, no real reason you shouldn't have been able to do freeweights at the start. Maybe a little bodyweight to master the form before you go in there fucking your shit up, but within like a week MAX you shoulda been on dumbbells at least. Squatting/DLing the bar and whatnot.
Honestly, your trainer may not have your best interests in mind. The longer you need him and his instruction, the longer he makes money, so it's profitable to try to make you progress as slow as possible. Not all trainers are like that and it depends on how the gym pays them for sure, but if you have a slow gym with few new signups and he gets individually paid for his time with you, he could be purposely fucking you over.
Sounds like he doesn't want to spend time teaching you how to do free weights, so he just puts you on a boring machine circuit instead.
Just do 5x5. You don't need a personal trainer anyway.
what's the quickest way to lose muscle? i'm on 1400 cal/day and i do 40 minutes of cardio 4 times a week. is there anything i can take? i can't do it any more brehs, dysmorphia got to me.
>select all images of steak
Just stop any kind of strenght exercise. Consider also that too much cardio will consume your tissues but at the same time keep you very thin. You might want to do normal diet to get a bit of fat and hide muscles while they go down. It will take time
What body do you have? Did you roid?
>cardio makes you lose muscle
well meme'd my fellow fitness enthusiast :^)
We look so much better when we are tanned. Our muscles look bigger and more defined. But winter comes and then fucks our shit up.
How do we stay tanned in the winter?
Do chicks fart?
