is cutting while doing SS a good idea?
I've read that you can build muscle and lose fat if you're only a beginner, which I am.
I'm 5'10'', 145 lbs, most of my fat is centered around my thighs, waist, and ass. Thought about cutting at 2100kcal with a low carb diet.
do you really think splitting is a good idea for a complete beginner?
the only criticisms ive seen for SS is "have fun with trex mode" but desu familiar you have to be retarded to not catch that before it's too late
is there any other reason i should kill myself?
>do you really think splitting is a good idea for a complete beginner?
Depends if you're okay with doing high rep (8-12) hypertrophy work with babby weights.
General consensus is to go SS for 6mo - 1 yr (along with accessories if you want) and get down the basics + gain strength.
Nothing wrong with starting on a split though.
You can cut while doing strength work and make noob gains yes. But you'll hit a plateu eventually and have to eat above TDEE to keep progressing....

I recently went to a dermatologist due to my hair falling out like crazy for the past 2 or 3 months. He recommended 1 capsule of minoxidil a day, and my problems would be over. However, I've seen some stuff on the interwebs saying it can fuck your heart up. What is your experience with this drug and did you have any problem?
i bet all thes doctors make a shit load of money off dudes who come to them for their baldness. There aint shit you can do. Those pills might save you like 10 hairs if anything. It's your genetics dude
shave and grow beard
If you're above like 28 just shave. The only people that will really care about you having hair are 20yr old clubbing sluts.
Shave and try to go for like a tough, rugged look like your pic or fucking bane or something.
what's better sumo or conventional DL's for aesthetics?
>"wow anon thats a sexy lower back you have there"
DLs are for strength and so you don't fuck your shit up doing other lifts. Nobody but /fit/ fags gives a shit about how buff your lower back is.
>he doesn't lift with his hips and glutes
>implying DL's arn't a overall mass builder nonetheless
isn't it better to target legs more?
I think sumo doesn't hit upper back more too
Can someone please advise me on using the classical kung fu horse stance for extended periods of time to strengthen your legs? Also would it be considered isometrics?
How long should I be in the gym lifting? When I used actual weights w/ my friend my lifts would be go for around a hour. Now I can only use machines and lift on my own so it takes maybe 20 minutes. I'm doing the same lifts just on machines, will this negatively affect me?
if it's only taking you 20 minutes to do machine lifting, you may either not be taking long enough rest periods in between sets. It's also possible that you're lifting too light.
Usually people who ask this question don't have a routine set up for themselves. Go to the gym with a plan and start training smart for actual gains.
So, it varies. It's as long as your routine takes. Usually when I go my lifting sessions take around an hour or a bit more.
Motivate me to go to the gym and do a session of deadlifts /fit/
I recently returned to training MMA 3 days a week Mon/Wed/Fri.
What kind of basic compound routine could I do just to build just strength 2 days a week? I know that inevitably, size gains will come as a side effect of strength gains, but I want to focus as much as possible on pure strength.
Explosive lifts for grapple and throws and general power.
Any pulling motion to move your opponent where you want them HELPS (technique is king though)
Bench just because I've seen dudes who can bench ~300 basically throw dudes off of them on the ground.
Explosive movements and compound exercises m are what you need. Wouldn't focus on getting jacked as you have to make different weight classes. Ultimately focus mostly on your skill work or else you're gonna fuck up and get smacked down like Aldo's bitch ass did.
Post current bodies
Mode my shit up senpaitachi
Don't bully but be honest
Also I'm not a manlet and I'm natty training 5 years now
is it possible to build serious muscle without a gym?
You should do the movement workout.
It's totally legit.
Alright /fit/ we're going grocery shopping
What's on the list?
OATZ NIGGA. STEEL CUT OATZ.
Oh and a tub of Creatine.
How do I explain to my bf that I want him to go lift weights and be more muscular. He's 6ft weighs 130
tell him that he looks like this and needs to get his ass to the gym
Post weight/height and how many calories you eat to get stronger. My bench/OHP are stalling hard so maybe I should up my cals?
I've always been in fairly good shape, and currently am in pretty good shape. I'm 192lbs, 6'2" and 18% body fat. while I'm no picture of fitness, I'm not fat nor overweight. I'm very healthy, eat well, and have been seriously working out in the gym for the past week and have been seeing some little gains so far.
But here's the problem. All my life I've had a fat chin. I think it's hereditary, my father has it and my mother has it a lot, she has no chin definition despite being skinny/fit. unfortuntely,...

I got cucked, and developed an intense desire to get /fit/ and to improve myself. partly to appeal to women more.
But then I thought, that's not me, that's not really who I want to be, I don't want anyone to feel attracted to me for any superficial attributes I may possess.
I want to be appreciated for my personality, almost entirely.
I know lifting would make me feel good in general, but I feel like I might be selling my soul to the devil.
Does /fit/ want to discuss this?
