If I'm fat and need to do some heavy cutting but also care about strength enough not to just go auschwitz mode fast cut, is something like Jim Stoppani's Shortcut to Shred a decent starting point for a routine?
I'm already at the gym 3-4 nights a week but suffer from severe fuckarounditis and would like a reliable, extreme-cut-friendly routine to stick to.
most people rec the usual 5x5s but if I'm needing to drop a lot of bf first shouldn't I be going higher reps and really exhausting myself??

What do you guys do about farts when in bed with a chick? I always try to hold them in but then the pressure builds up and I can't sleep and have to go to the toilet (especially bad when I'm bulking and/or after having a couple of beers). Once I'm on the toilet there's such a high pressure buildup that I'm afraid she can hear me through two closed doors. Also it's only a temporary relief. After some time it's starts all over again.

I find that the more I suppress and avoid farts, the less I need to or get the urge to. Takes about a day or two of willpower but it will work and you will simply not need to fart as much. I probably fart 3 times a day outside of when I'm pooing

If you really want to abstain from something, abstain from sugar. Abandon all sweets, that's a good thing to do. Other than that, I think it's important to eat at least 60g of proteins a day. What you fill the rest with doesn't matter as long as you stay below your daily intake goal.
