I am considering starting with BJJ for self-defence purposes, is it any fun and useful?
I do takewondo. Good cardio, probs meh for self defense. Fun sport if you are interested in competing at all though.
I did judo last summer and am looking to start again next semester. Also very fun. Basically all sparring/sport based, so maybe better for self defense but lots of people are in it to compete, not to really learn to fight irl. BJJ might be different because it has more overlap with MMA stuff to my understanding.
