Just post whatever gets you pumped and wanting to hit the gym. Qt's, quotes, big guys (uuuu) lifting big weights, whatever. What gets you pumped?
Starting with my favorite pic I've seen here
Okay general advice thread.
>I was an obese kid, fat shaming prompted me to try to lose weight.
>This is me now.
>I'm still not happy with my body, any tips on how to further my weight loss and muscle gain
>I go to the gym, i can post my routine and diet if it helps.
Keep going. It looks like it's working. If you've hit a plateau i'd try to work on the diet. Other than that looking good man
Yesterday i pr'd 2 120kg deadlifts and was wondering - at what weight should I consider using a belt assuming the form is fine?
Any of you guys ever go over to /r9k/ to remind yourself what you should never become and why you lift?
I keep going over there every few weeks to tell them to lift because it will give them self confidence and that will be the first step to improving their lives, but they always blow me off. They always make excuses >I'm short >I'm ugly etc. If you have the conviction to lift and stick to it you are far above them.
my lower back is really sore after deadlifting 2 days ago but i only feel it when i move, is this normal?
Is it soreness or pain?
If it's soreness, it just means your back muscles are getting used to it and your lift is working.
If it's a shooting pain that's radiating, that's not good. Rest and work on form.
About to buy a power cage and a BB. Been doing DB stuff for a year. What specific exercises should I go for to make sure I can handle the BB?
I never did sports before, at all, and got into it over a year ago. Made huge progress but want to ensure success.
how am i supposed to make serious gains when my wrists, elbows, shoulder and knee joints always sore
I ask myself this all the time :(
>tfw left shoulder and elbow both tendonitis
>tfw right arm is making gains while my left recovers
In all honesty save money see a PT, search up on youtube for any kind of help on your issues and try them all
i dont know whats wrong with me
its not an issue of bad form or anything, my joints have always ached
i love lifting and would like to start using roids some day, and id want to train 6-7 days per week, but i know theres no way my joints would be able to handle that
how do I into bond-mode?
My left bicep is an inch bigger than my right bicep, even my left deltoid looks bigger.
No clue why because I'm right handed.
What curl variation is best to fix this? Should I also be doing dumbbell press one arm at a time?
Thats what happens when you are far more dexterous with one hand. You probably use your right arm more efficiently, which decreases the work done. Meanwhile, the muscles on your clumsy left works harder.
You can avoid this problem by training to failure or using barbells with proper form.

Hey guys, first time poster here.
My friend is trying to get me to get a membership at the local gym with him. I suffer anxiety and he said it'd be good to go, just to get my mind off shit.
Can anyone here confirm whether it's a good idea or not?
Local gym? Someone may know you! Even if they don't, you'll be the newcomer - the fluffy, weak, newcomer. And they will all judge you and talk about you behind your back! Inside and outside of the gym!
If I were you I'd go "cocoon" mode and constantly compliment myself on my brave segregation with regular chocolate treats. Damn, you need some rewarding motivation after all!
How do I into it?
I never used to believe in “thin privilege” I just thought oh bunch of fatties go run. But after reading this it’s really opened my eyes so much. Although I’m 5’‘4 and 130, and have never struggled to find clothes that fit, or doctors to help a few week ago a girl who used to date my partner called me a “fat bitch”, when someone said “no she’s not fat she’s like 130 pounds” the girl instantly said back “yeah well I’m only 95”, like it made her better than me or more important.
Everyone is important, I can’t believe I never noticed how privileged...

>could be sick or have bad knees.
Key word here is could be. They're usually not, or the bad knees are a product of obesity.
Personally I'm not as radical about the fat hate as /fit/ is. I really don't give a shit if you're chubby or overweight to an extent. But if you can't walk - if you can't climb stairs or have a healthy heart - you need help.
How do I get veiny arms?
someone in fit kept going on about he thinks this woman is born a man
it's really messing with my head and i wonder just maybe!!!
but she's very short and has very small feet!!
I want a body like this then progress to something with slightly more mass. How do I go from skinny fat to that? i don't care how hard it is or how long it takes I just straight up don't know how to go about getting there.
I'm looking for help on a specific thing. The sticky is a general guide.
If you don't know how to help that's fine bro but don't act as if I'll find the answer in the sticky. Iv read it
>i read the sticky
you didnt ..
maybe read the reddit sticky instead
seems more for you tbqh
