question to vegans, especially vegan bodybuilders: what foods do you primarily consume
Any /fit/izen know of a good routine to take up, having completed Starting Strength? Don't really care about mass that much, I'm only interested in getting stronger. Am able to go to the gym 3-5 times a week. Also, any tips on repairing my lungs after an year of smoking (~5 cigs a day)? Struggling with cardio at the moment
A really cute guy at the gym said that I was "pretty strong", asked how old I was + how long I had been lifting and then gave me his instagram without me asking for it or anything.
BUT when I went to his instagram it said he was a sponsored athlete.
So was he hitting on me, or just trying to push some products on me?

we are both DYEL as fuck. I was kinda surprised he even had an instagram to be honest, I wouldnt have been too proud of his body. I can squat more than him, he deadlifts more than me and we benches the same.

I cant squat 75 lbs without tweaking my back up.
However, in a smith machine, i can squat 135 and be fine the next day, except for normal muscle soreness.
Tell me why i shouldnt just squat in a smithmachine?
How did you start going to the gym? I have no friends and can't pay for a personal trainer. How am I supposed to know that I'm doing things right? Isn't it weird when someone just lifts the empty bar?

Hey /fit/. I've been trying to lose weight for 3 months, and I can say I didn't do that much of a progress. I'm 18, I weigh around 107kg and I'm 1.85m tall. I'm eating healthy and I only have one cheat day per week. Why can't I lose weight? Is it because my programme at the gym? I do lots of cardio and lifting. Can you help me out?
I don't know how many calories I burn. Cardio only burns around 400 - 500 as the machines say. I've heard that I should eat around 3000 to 3100 calories to maintain it. But I don't think I'm eating that much.

Just do it. I had some anxiety going through puberty, but it is actually as simple as just doing it (whatever you're anxious about), step by step. Whenever I feel like not doing something where in my mind I might make a fool out of myself, I think back on all the chances I've already missed, that's more than enough motivation for me not being a little bitch.
Once you're a set or two in I find you become less self conscious. Also no one cares about you unless you do some real retarded shit and even if you do some real retarded shit who cares what random human beings think really. Remember they and you will all die one day so who cares
