Why are my squats so weak? Is it because I'm fat? Does it greatly influence how strong my squats are?
I deadlift 90kg (200-something lbs for americunts) with perfect form, yet I can BARELY do 40 kg squats. Barely, no ass to grass. I just barely do them, but usually I go 30 kg for a perfect, full squat.
I feel like my technique is somewhat not good because I can feel the heavy strain on my quads and can't "activate" my glutes so to speak.
ass for motivation to give me advice how can I do better squats
wait, what? you cant squat 40kg = 88lb?
i dont think any adult who is able to walk and move around properly should have problem squatting atleast 135lb.
perhaps its not because of technique or strength. you might be lacking the most basic mobility
Why can't I lose weight /fit/ ?
>inb4 read the sticky
I read it and I lift 5 times a week, count calories and even do cardio but no changes
Why do they all look like they're 100 years old or have facial deformities? Is it male hormones or the tanning that fucks their skin like that?
Fuck man theyre hideous
The one on the left looks like a WoW troll female
Middle has a dented forhead and is all around fuck ugly
Mirin right t.bh lads she is more jacked than any of us can ever claim to be but she paid for it with the granny face wrinkles
I cant beat my dick to this
>that guy that walks around the gym in a weird zombie trance between sets
>friend wants to get ripped to get ladies
>start him on GOMAD + SS
How can I build a strength routine for a beginner that won't involve squats or heavy deadlifts? Should I just be doing everything from SS or 5x5 minus squats?
Oh, and not doing squats or heavy deadlifts isn't my voluntary decision.
Have some test boosters in advance.
Hey guys, I am thinking of changing some ways in how I perform 531.
My 1RMs are:
High Bar Squat with belt 275
Military Press 125
Bent Row 205
So I was thinking of doing the bent over Row with a mixed Grip (like a Deadlift) to help my Grip and allow me to progress longer.
Also, I'm thinking of dedicating 3 months out of the year to running only (with no lifting, running 2times a day) I call it the hybrid method
Can I get an opinion on these things, thanks!
You shouldn't be performing 5/3/1. it is advanced and you are not. You are better off doing a different program in which you could progress faster.
Rowing with a mixed is stupid and will lead to muscle imbalances. btw you probably arent rowing with proper form if your rows are that high compared to your bench.
Your hybrid method is a great way to throw away your gains. I dont know why on earth you would ever do that.
>probably a troll thread but w/e
Have some fresh OC.
Can someone describe the proper way to spot someone who is squatting?
Cause I think I may have just been molested. Pic related, I even have it on video.
>not struggling at all
>suddenly halfway through this short black dude comes up behind me
>i tell him i dont need a squat but he doesnt hear me (?)
>he puts his hands along my flank
>squats with me so there...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Here is him puppet-walkimg me into the rack
you can see the guy in the background being all like "What the fuck"
ITT: we discuss the best exercise going.
Do you prefer heavy and short distance or lighter and long distance?
What is your PR?
Why is it the most fun lift?
Who are some /fit/ worthy instagram users to follow?
You will never be like me
Do they work? Pro's and cons?? I don't want to waste money on a gimmick!
What you guys do for delts?
My chest and arms killing it, delts not so much.
Dumbell shoulder press (Pic related)
Upright rows/Lateral raises not as heavy are good
Do those for the side delt, all you need. Just get stronger at those.
Do flyes for the rear delt (I like doing the pec deck machine in reverse, it rocks)
Got that thigh gap but my thighs are fucking massive. I want skinny girl legs, not big muscly monsters.
What should I do to slim them down, or at least lose a bit of muscle? Just up the cardio and avoid lifting with my legs?
No they're really not. They're getting harder as well which is a good thing but I don't want to end up with really muscly legs.
Pic related - basically my legs
