To lose weight I plan to start going to the gym and lift weights.
As for my diet my plan is to try zero carb and just eat things like fatty cuts of beef, eggs, and butter.

How about a balanced, nutritious diet? You can still eat beef eggs and cheese just in smaller amounts. Fill up on vegetables and healthy legumes and such, you can even eat fruit. Have you thought about reading the sticky and actually trying to do something right for once in your life?

I've been lifting for a little over 2 1/2 years and put on about 45 pounds, which is great.
However, now I've got fucking stretch marks on my shoulders, chest, biceps, and quads.
Any tips for fixing this shit?

A good combination of cardio and strength for overall strength, when done correctly. When done incorrectly, it's dangerous
Sadly there are so many gyms that are run by people who don't know what they're doing, so the vast majority of people doing crossfit are doing it wrong and with horrible form, so they just get hurt
