there wasnt any so cardio fanatcis come here ask your questions and shit
ill start: can i just start jogging for 30 minutes trying to keep a constant rate and taking breaks when i need to or is it necesary to do couchto5k????
for weight loss should i aim to jog more distance in the same time or just jog more total time?
if i wanted to do HIIT what would be a good starting program?
You can take breaks if you want to, keep pushing yourself and you will be able to run for an hour easily.
The faster you run, the more calories you will burn, ideally you want to run fast and long. I burn over 1300kcal in an hour in a tempo run.
Bunch of different good interval sets, you aiming for any specific race/distance or you just want to lose weight?
I do mostly long distance so like to do long intervalls, so usually alternate between 20x400, yasso 800s, 10x1k and 6xmile.
Okay then shorter intervals will be fine, work your way up so a sub 60 10k is easy, then start doing short intervals. Flying 40s are pretty fun, you do 40s on high effort followed by 20s recovery jog x10 then you jog easily a few minutes and repeat. You will also notice that weight impacts speed a lot in running. Even though I am only about 2-3kg over race weight now I'm still considerably slower.
>ohp is 90lbs
>bench is 125lbs
someone please fix me
>tfw intelligent enough to lift thread
/fit/ tell me your current academic position, and your PR on your favorite lift
>University history lecturer, book coming out late 2017
>95KG OHP (100 next workout I swear)
>ez mode business technology degree from my 3rd choice college
>I'm currently nearing the end of my initial cut before I start lifting seriously for the first time
I'm not an impressive man.
Finishing up my physics bachelor degree. I always did mediocre on tests, but I excel in doing research and coming up with creative ideas/solutions. The results of my thesis will be turned into a paper and published.
>biking 210km on a day
I do cardio and, dont lift.
Watcha doing tonight, fags?
Can I get a strongfat boyfriend if I'm thicc but not fit? We can binge together and his lifts will go up :)
>Who here self sabotage and ruining their life without understanding why they do it?
How can I get taller?
5'7" is a pretty good height OP.
Don't worry so much about it, most girls are 5'2" - 5'4" anyways.
When they look up, they can't tell the difference between 5'7" and 6'0", you're always huge around them.
what are some healthy underrated sources of carbs that taste good on their own
we all know that potatoes are god tier and taste good on their own anything else?
Anyone else microwave their eggs?
Will this kill me or did I just find a way to effortlessly gain weight.
Hey /fit/ I need some good cookbooks. I've been committed to going to the gym every week, but I struggle with knowing good recipes I can make for myself. I've been looking for books on Amazon, but I only see vegan cookbooks could someone give any good recommendations?
why would you buy a cookbook ?
The web has more great recipes than you could ever cook.
If you just want good tasting food I would start at epicurious.com and try any recipe that has over 3 stars.
If you are looking for health food type recipes there are hundreds of blogs that have recipes for you. All types, Paleo, vegan, fruititarians, you name it.
Keep in mind that anyone can put a recipe up online. I would stick to ones that have several glowing reviews.
The only reasons to buy cookbooks is for learning techniques of cooking, not recipes

How does one become more high energy.
Ive fixed diet and excersize and cut almost all substances and caffiene.
"Fake it till you make it" had made me a bit more confident enthusiastic positive and assertive.
What else can i do?
Tame the sex urge. Devour the lion. Skin it's hide and wear it as a trophy.
In other words, don't masturbate.
>tfw no matter how much you lift
>you will never defeat Dio's 「 ZA WARUDO 」 stand
why even lift? I have no motivation left.
is being fat/having cellulite a joke?
I see discussions about fat acceptance everywhere, with these common answers:
>its not that easy
>some people are born that way
>society doesnt allow it
>i dont have the time
isnt that just redundant considering fat people are trying to change society to make it easier for them to show cellulite in public?
am i being pranked
If fat was just a visual thing and had no impact on health whatsoever, then I could see fat acceptance happening but fat fucks up so much of your body that accepting it is resigning your body to failure.
Fat acceptance happened because of two things
- A backlash on the overly idolized victoria's secret stickfigure type bitches
- Fat people becoming more common and therefore it being more accepted. Generally, fat people are lazier, and lazy people don't want to take responsibility for their situations in life.
And I say this as a 250+ pound, 5'7" obese man.
So be, what do you think is more impressive?
>a high school kid benching 2plt
>a natty benching 3plt
>a roider benching 4plt
Natty or high schooler are close, I'd say high schooler hitting the 2 plate bench though.
I'm a natty 3 plater and I'm not that huge, just been trying for a long time.
Roiders who bench less than 4 plates are embarrassing and wasting their time.
High school kid benching 2 plates is in the top 2% or so genetically, so that's pretty rad.
There were a fuck load of kids at my high school that were benching 2plt. I remember when I got it the beginning of my senior year then before I graduated I could rep it 10 times. I've only seen maybe two hands full of people benching over 3plt at the gym so I think that's impressive as hell. Been trying to get there for years and still stalking between 295-305 bench
Enjoying one of my last keto meals before my cut is finally over
Hi guys, I'm getting into weight lifting because I am trying to lose weight while gain some muscle. To give you a bit of context, I am 18 years old, weight 260 pounds, and I stand at 6' 2". I don't have much muscle and instead have a lot of fat. I've been looking at some basic layouts to do workouts during the week but it seems to me that they won't last very long. For example: This one workout has 3 5x5s for that day's workout. I started weightlifting about 6 months ago but gave up when I went off to school. The recommended amount of time...

lol, just go and do it. You will struggle to finish 3 lifts at 5x5 within 90 minutes once the weights get heavy. Why are you trying to second guess routines designed by people who know far more than you
Do lmaofullbody every day for 2 hours until you lose the fat, then continue at 2.5 hours a day and abuse stimulants until you achieve godhood like me.
I'm not second guessing anything, rather questioning the amount of time I should spend in the gym. So once the weights get heavy I will start to lift more slowly or sometimes stop entirely. I'm not trying to sound arrogant if that's what you think, I am here questioning dumbfuck
Average 5"7 spic here.
Let me understand something:
To change from average beta to proper Chad I need:
- To hit the gym.
- To start to train a martial art (to stop being beta).
- Change my diet and eat better.
- Leave manchild hobbies like anime and games and start to read politics, philosophy and economics.
- Get into college and get a STEM degree.
- Learn a music instrument or get a proper hobby like art.
- Get a proper job and leave my mom basement.
- Learn how the Game (PUA) works
Did I get it right?
>- Leave manchild hobbies like anime and games and start to read politics, philosophy and economics.
Not neccesary but you can become more interesting if you read about them, thus having dem qt latinas
>Get into college and get a STEM degree
For /sci/, yes but you can also get a nice /biz/ degree that isn't Business Administration
Also medicine is good as well
But don't get on stupid shit like Art History and you're good

I'm most likely going to end up getting murdered for asking this question but what exactly makes Zyzz different or even superior to other trainers? Why is he so loved amongst trainers? Out of curiosity.
This, modern /fit/ posters dont see is that he use to be the typical nerd virgin of 4chan. He played WoW all day and posted on boards. Then he decides to be a sik kunt and lived a more fulfilling life in his short time then what most men will when they are his age. He was an inspiration to the average 4channer that they could make it
How's yours going? I fucked up.
Fapping everyday reduces risk of prostate cancer. You are killing yourself, OP.
What mode is this?
I did it /fit/. After 4 years of on and off again lifting, after countless injuries and interruptions - I finally benched the dreaded 1pl8.
Are you proud of me /fit/? I'm proud of me...
Would the OPM workout actually work?
who /pearshaped/ here? (pic related not me)
by far the worst body type. if I don't stay at very low bf% I look like complete shit.
all the fat is in my waist, calves and ass. I can't wear normal-sized jeans and look t-rex mode after just a couple of kgs. my waist fat unbalances my torso and makes me look round.
fucking dogshit genes.
I know that feel...
Just get massive
Yes. But I'm a woman so it's pretty nice.
Hoping that my sons doesn't inherit my body type though.
>tfw gf arms are bigger than mine
How do I get her to become /fit/ without offending her?
Flex infront of her, asks if she likes and when she says yes ask why when she says you're big and stronk say
>then you must really love yourself
>cuz you're fat Marina
>your arms are huge
A fat girl (whom I am not dating) lost some kind of bet with me and afterwards I decided that her "punishment" would be to do C25k with me. She likes me, so she took it like a champ. We're in the second month of this now.
Maybe this will be useful 4u
