how to train purely for health
What shoes do you guys recommend for weightlifting ? (Squats, DLs etc).
Does it matter that much ?
Pictured L-R are some shitty plimsoles, Vans, Trainrender running shoes and Janoskis, which would be the best shoe to use ?
Any recommendations for a better shoe to wear ?
The crossfit 2.0 because they are light flat base good stability for all lifts they have room for the toes and they are good for agility work too. Not recommended for long running tho. But they are good for squats, I prefer to deadlift without shoes but you can deadlift with them if you want there's no drawback
Are you talking about these ?
Might get them because they are totally my colour. Also I doubt any of the gyms in my area allow for barefoot-lifting.
hey anons this is my transformation of 5 years
what do you think? I'm pretty big now haha
Is roid-rage real? I thought it was just a myth. But I've seen guys that almost get mad cause you are using a machine that they need. And then there is this kid at my gym. He is pretty skinny, but can pull a lot of weight. And he started being confrontational. Saying I am disrespecting him, and he was calling me a donkey? lol!
Is that roid rage, or is he just a bully, and I his victim?
Usually if people fuck with you in the gym it means you are kinda small. Lift more heavy shit and eat right and let some time pass, you will see the difference.
People will be intimidated to ask if you are done with the weights or bench.
>finish bench set and sit up
>guy comes over and almost shouts at me asking if i'm using the bench, he sort of glares at me while saying it
>of course i'm fucking using it, you just saw me do a set
>asks how many sets, tell him i have about 5 more
>"well hurry up then, i haven't got all fucking day"

> As a doctor I can tell you that, medically speaking, I’d rather have HIV than diabetes. While this might sound shocking or surprising, the facts speak for themselves: the prognosis for those with type 2 diabetes is much worse than for those with HIV. The risk of stroke in newly treated type 2 diabetes is more than double that of the general population. People with diabetes are four times more likely to have cardiovascular disease than someone without diabetes. In 20 to 30 per cent of people with diabetes, there’s damage to the kidney filtering system leading to kidney failure and the need for dialysis. Damage to the delicate vessels in the eye is a leading cause of blindness and damage to nerves is a leading cause of foot wounds and ulcers, which frequently lead to foot and leg amputations. For those with HIV, providing they take their medication, there are very few problems.
>Many people are complacent about diabetes in a way that would seem reckless with HIV. People consider type 2 diabetes an irritant — something that can be easily fixed with tablets. But this is wrong. Regardless of how well it is controlled, type 2 diabetes is a progressive disease, which results in the need to increase pharmacological therapies over time. A recent study conducted in Australia showed that, after six years, 44 per cent of patients no longer responded to oral medication and required insulin injections. Oral medications eventually fail in most people, meaning that injections are almost inevitable at some point.
Obese children, as well as kids with metabolic syndrome are more likely to be behind their normal-weight peers in spelling, mental flexibility, arithmetic and overall cognitive scores, researchers from New York University School of Medicine and the Nathan Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research, New York, reported in the journal Pediatrics.
Does it make you so very, very angry that I'm obese? Damn, food is tasty. So very tasty. Sometimes, when I tuck into a tub of "cookies & cream" ice cream or a bacon-wrapped filet mignon, I'll pause for a moment and think of other people who are upset by us overweight folk. Their tears add to the delicious flavor.
Now, if you *truly* hated the epidemic of obesity in your nation, you would do something about it. Targeting consumers like myself shows laziness and weakness. Targeting corporations like RJR Nabisco, Nestlé and Monsanto, however... well,...

>lose 20 kilos
>face still looks the same
shit, time to lose the next 20
so i realized i'm never gonna make it
and i'm not talking about being fit, i'm talking about life, i'm talking about being happy
seems that i was born to feel like shit and i just want it to stop
thank you for these 5 years /fit/, hope you all make it.
I felt terrible until I hit early 30s. Since then my life has been pretty stable. Don't think it can't change, because it definitely can, and you'll be surprised at how quickly things can turn around.
everything you feel are just chemical in your brains, maybe we are living inside a simulation who knows maybe go fuck yourself
>when you bounce your pecs for the first time ever in your life
>when you go to put on an old pair of pants and they don't fit
>and you're not fat
>when you put on an old shirt and it's like a fucking tent
How does one achieve a physique like the picture on right and avoid building a physique like the one on the left?
It's mostly a matter of bodyfat.
The guy on the right is like 7%bf whereas the lefts is more like 12%. That 5% difference is pretty huge in terms of methods needed to achieve.
Also shave bodyhair if you wanna look like right. Having no hair on your chest and stomach increases definition a lot more than you would think.
Both are probably on steroids. Right is probably on a wider variety of them (test, EQ, mast, as well as fat burners) Left is probably just on a bit of test.
Post shit that's been fucking with your gainz
>Hotline Miami 1 & 2
At least I've discovered some new lifting music, but I skipped three workouts and eaten like shit for three days.
What muscles do you need ot work out to deliver a mean punch ?
How to drink protein powder without wanting to kill yourself?
ITT: POST YOU'RE FICTIONAL GOAL BODY
Mine's this fucking beast of a man.
Today is exactly 1 year since i started lifting
Deadlift: 462 (probably got 480-505 in me now)
I dont understand how some of you cant even deadlift 315 after 2-3 years, its like you're not even trying. Just eat and lift.
I'm doing SS and want to switch from low bar to high bar squats.
Which and why.
It'll likely shank your deadlift progression and you'll stall sooner on squats (this isn't a good v bad thing, its just that highbar inherently uses less weight than lowbar which makes each weight jump harder because its a bigger percentage increase).
