My flatmate who's been chef in Italy for 5 years, and before that has been learning dietetics told me whey protons have shitty digestibility (dunno if it's proper English term). He also tells me too much animal fat is satan, and people on meat/dairy heavy diet don't grow because of acidity.
He may be right on some of this stuff, but he was educated on that around 8 years ago. I grew some lean muscle mass since I supplement whey, so I won't stop anyway.
Oh man, yes. Whey protein is amazing, it's so dang good at being whey protein. It's as if you ate the whey protein, and it was worked like it was whey protein.
How to increase the amount of pull-ups you can do.

I have been stuck at 11 pull-ups now for 3 months. No matter what I can't reach my chin to the bar on the 12th rep. Some days I can only do 10.
I do pullups once a week as part of my back routine and also hit my lats with deadlifts which I also do once a week.
What is going on? Why am I not getting stronger?
Lats are symmetrical. I also do curls and lat pulls - but with lighter weight after pullups. I will give heavier lat pulls a shot. But still it seems like I would be able to do at least 1 extra pullup after 3 months.
Do pull ups 3 times a week. If you're doing less than 50 per training session, you're doing too few. You should strive for 200-300 pull ups a month.
Do more pull ups. People who tell you to do rows or curls to increase your pull up performance are retarded. You should do those things for general strength training, but don't think they'll actually increase your pull up performance significantly.

exactly 2 weeks ago i smoked twice. i smoke half of a hitter/dugout and then another half of a hitter/dugouts maybe 4 hours later. essentially i took 2 puffs that day. its been 2 weeks since and i have a drug test tomorrow
yes. i know im dumb for even smoking with a drug test coming up. but it happened. so now im wondering how lucky am i to pass the test, which is tomorrow. i weigh about 185 at 6'ft tall

My skin looked better, I lost a lot of weight, and just felt all around better.

What do you guys eat before a workout?
I wake up at 530 am to work out, and have breakfast afterwards, but before hand take a small glass of almond milk so that I can have some energy.
I don't want to puke while I workout by stuffing myself right before, but I feel like I could do myself good by giving myself more energy for the gym.
Banana with a little peanut butter on it.
You don't need more than that. Little protein, lots of carbs, some sodium. All you need for a good workout and won't fill you up or make you feel bloated.
usually brotein bar/scoop in water and an apple or banana, black coffee or caffeine pill, and non-stim PWO (mostly just aminos)
chug it all in like 20 mins, stretch out the hammies and go jammy
you dont want to divert a bunch of blood to the digestive tract when you go lift early. trust me you'll vomit every time if you stuff yourself
What do you put in your shakes? I am on a slight cut and this is a meal replacement after my workout.
