Mirin the transformation man. Im slowly getting out of fatass mode now.
Have done this thread a whole bunch of times now, everyone seems to react well to it.
/fit/ takes care of your body but we got to take care of your soul too.
Come in for a chat, share advice, ask advice, tell me your problems, complain and bitch, no matter how big or small we'll work through it.
"Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest"
A little about me, have been making these threads for a year now, just a place for people to dump their worries and feel better.
Ex military, currently a tradesman, have been across the world and been higher than high and lower than low, not much I haven't seen or done. Good or bad.
I'm squatting 2 pl8s, deadlifting 3 pl8s and OHP 0.5 pl8.
I know it's nothing special, but I can barely bench 110 lbs.
Why is my bench lagging so much?
Form? I've watched countless videos on bench form and I think I'm doing everything right. I'm arching my beck, my blades are together, I'm pushing with my back into the bench and with my legs into the floor. I've widened my grip to work chest more instead of triceps.
But I can't still bench for shit.
With dumbbels it's okay, I can bench a "respectable" weight. But with barbell, fuck no.
I have long limbs just for the info.
Long limbs certainly make it harder to get a big bench.
But that won't be the entire reason for it.
You may be holding yourself back if you aren't using a spotter. The difference between giving it your all and playing it safe due to having no spotter can be the difference between your body adapting and getting stronger, and not making progress.
So either learn to do the roll of shame, use a power rack, or ask someone to spot you.
After getting a full-time job I honestly can't blame people for getting fat anymore.
After 8 hours of work and 1.5 hours of commuting the absolute last thing I want to do is go to the gym. I mean, I still do it but by the time I get back home I have like four hours of free time left to myself. Fuck that. If I was a normie I wouldn't even bother.
If you have a full time job you should have enough disposable income to get another gym membership or a gym membership that you can work out at more than one location. I have a gym at a 5 min walk from work, so i go there for 45 minutes during lunch or straight after work for 45 min. (which means i don't get stuck in rush hours traffic either). So i get home at 17:30 instead of 17:00.
I can't believe that people complain about not having time to do shit while working 40 hours a week.
I only work 60 and have plenty of time to hit the gym 4 days a week and do tons of stuff outside of work.
So a girl I meat we really hit it off been talking for 3 weeks now but how do I make her squat? She currently goes to the gym doing only leg presses and she thinks squats are bad for her knees
How do I convince her to become pic related qt?
>implying you can't build impressive lower body with leg press
>tired of being unfit and fat
>bought a bike
>only lost 133cal??
> THE FUCK
/fit/ please help me
A bike is basically made to make transportation EASIER than walking. So why the fuck are you surprised that you didnt use a lot of energy?
Get on a stepper with high resistance or do some serious lifting with high volume, like GVT
Why full body training here?
Rhizobia bacterium fix nitrogen from air in exchange of glucose, usually found in legume roots.
How cool it would be if we engineered a mice to do just that?
Not quite sure what the purpose would be?
Found a way to infinite gainz:
All of this requires some human bioengineering, so not sure if it qualifies as natty.
Basically, you need either a dual purpose bacteria or two different strains or what the fuck do I know.
Idea is to engineer our skin to work like giant leaves, absorbing sunlight and CO2 to fixate carbon. The nitrogen fixating bacteria then converts that into amino acids.
Infinite solar powered protein gains.
Old one looks to be dying.
Bulking on 4450 kcal/day. It's a fuckton of food and I can't tolerate more than about 50g fibre thanks to shitty internal problems. Because of this I have about 50% of my diet from fat, with ~15% saturated. No sugar, no processed crap, but I'm worried that I'm fucking myself over with the high sat fat intake. Can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere. Thoughts?
TLDR: 15% of intake from saturated fat, am I retarded?
Hi /fit/, 1m81 for 68 kg, i have trouble eating more, i'm staying underneath 70Kg, when i eat i'm quickly full and it's fucking annoying, i thinking using pills that give hunger, any tips?
Gonna diddylift two plate in a couple of minutes.
Who else /smashingmilestones/ around here?
I diddlied 100 kg the very first time I ever tried it, as a 70 kg lanklet who played abit of soccer.
The girl I'm dating and lifting with is around 60 kg and just did two reps at 85 kg after 3 sessions. And that was with horrible form, nearly completely straightening her legs out before the bar even took off from the floor.
I refuse to believe any lifter of the male gender would have a problem with 100 kg, you people must be doing something horribly wrong.
Keen to start getting /fit/ over the next few months, but I've got no equipment and a gym membership is a bit too expensive for me right now.
I'm definitely going to get some adjustable dumbells, as they're cheap and apparently versatile.
People tell me that I'm also going to want an adjustable bench. Is it necessary, or is it just a nice convenience?
I've been doing body-weight pull ups for quite some time now. With the pull ups I can't get past 13.
I do pull ups every other day, I usually try 5x6 and can't finish, start doing 3 or 2 pull ups by the 4th set.
Can anyone recommend me a good pull up program? I really want to pass my maximum of 13 push ups.
I've tried googling for better programs but all I find is clickbait trash. Thanks.
any tips, tricks, must-read books, must-watch movies/videos? /cocoon/ general.
