What do you listen to at the gym /fit/? Seeking some new inspiration
>pic related, trying it out today
No just tired of listening to nigger beats and stoner trash when I lift
What the fuck it actually sounds good
I like it
Reminds me of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1mC9hxnLyM
I'm gonna add some synthwave for lifting. from my retroelectro playlist.
this is awesome I'm gonna go fire up muh shitbox and go for a drive
Walking to the station that I'm about to make a PR on.
When shit is about to get real.
Stuff I listen to regularly.
When I'm resting for my next set and I need a boost.
I like to listen to Huey Lewis when I lift. Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
People seriously listen to fucking Japanese pop music and Kpop in the gym?
What the fucking fuck seriously, how can you say you are a man if you lift listening to music aimed for a 12 year old korean girl audience?
Pic related. Delete the Furious, All the Girls and Glow in the Dark, and go hard.
Pic related is my walking home in a happy haze after a good workout album. Still nigger themes, and fucking Tyler shits up a track but Doris literally gets better the more you listen to it.
Also listen to The Cool Kids - When Fish Ride Bicycles. Not quite as chill, but also nowhere near as nigger.
He's well known in Australia, but not exactly up there with the other big electronic artists. People really only know Warp 1977 (oh also I'd rec that for gym music too) and those that are keen on the genre know of Chronicles (it made Triple J's top 100 for the year)
I've never heard Cyberpinkers, I'm about to tube it.
Not him but adding to Synthwave
Lazerhawk - King of the Streets
Echo Shade - Fluorescent Lights
be careful it's the feeliest of genres
The Bug - Function (Grime)
Joker & Ginz - ReUp (Dubstep)
The Subs - The Face of the Planet (Elektro Trash)
Jack Parow - Afrikaan is dood (Afrikaner HipHop)
