I used to do it too.
Look big in short sleeves during summer, dont give a fuck about carb depletion and water retention during a cut in winter and have a better looking face when it's the only revealed part of your body.

I think you should just try. Start from 3000 and weigh yourself after a week. If nothing is lost cut some more. It's better to start higher and lose 1-2 weeks than burn out and lose strength.
cutting question for festivals: I am 180, 5'11'' and about 14-15% body fat. I want to gain about ten more pounds over the next 2-3 months and then cut. Should be about 190 at 17% right? I then want to start cutting. What percentage of my losses will be fat? Rough estimate. I'm pretty new to this

Nigga there's still 5 months to go. Starting your cut now is retarded. The end of September is more than 8 months away so you'd be losing alot of potential progress. April/May is more realistic if you don't want to spend months threading water. Besides most summer parties are only in July/August.
Nah bro beginning of November I was 190cm and 90kg eating 2700 a day, by beginning of December I had dropped like 0.5kg (with calorie counting every day) and not much physical difference. Throughout December I ate 2400-2500 calories a day and saw a far better change in that month than the previous.
I think you should go 2300-2500.

I started 2 weeks ago because last time I fucked it up and got insane headaches, probably from not eating enough carbs. i'm taking it slower this time, and if I'm "done" earlier than expected i'll just go maintenance or bulk a little before summer again.

EC stack + 1000kcal deficit for the win. Just lift heavy and you won't lose any note worthy amount of muscle. Keto is mainly used because you don't feel hungry on it, EC will blunt your hunger anyway.

Cut and lift. Maintain for two weeks once your cut is done. Bulk with a slight deficit afterwards. Do SS or GSLP.

Guide to cutting
Determine your bodyfat percentage ex:15%
Determine goal bodyfat ex: 10%
Multiply weight by bodyfat percentage ex: 180x.15=27
Subtract bodyfat from total weight
You have 153lbs of LBM
Weight - LBM/(1-goal bodyfat percentage) = weight you need to lose
180 - 153/(1-0.1)= 10lbs
Each pound of fat is 3500 calories so you need to run a deficit of (3500 x weight you need to lose)/days you have to cut
(3500 x 10) /90=390 calorie deficit a day

Okay done some research and determine eca is the supp I am going to take to help my cut. Currently at 5.11" 205lbs around 23%.
My discipline with diet is why I am choosing eca. Yes I realize eca won't fix discipline issues but it will help suppress my fucked appetite and urges by suppression. With that help, I will form the habit of eating less. I'm not gorging myself at 3000cals or anything. I'm simply struggling to stay under 2000cals and am ready to use eca as assistance.
