Haven't seen a motivation thread in a while, so here we go!
Anyone have that pic of the dude who talks about how being /fit made him a better father?
It was about teaching his son through actions instead of words.
He ends it with saying how his kid's gonna be right when he says "my dad can beat up your dad".
Very few men have accomplished more than Caesar but to him it was never enough. He worked ridiculously hard and was incredibly disciplined right up to the day that lesser men killed him.
Im a bit drunk so dont be mad if i accidentally post duplicates
>exercising to lose weight
Why do people promote this idea?
Like there's a fucking magical exercise that'll make you eat less. You got fat because you fucking ate too much, not because you exercised too little.
Yes and no. You gain weight because your energy in > energy out, which is usually due to eating too much compared to the amount of exercise you do, but you can adjust both of those variables. If you eat the same amount of food, but do more exercise, then you'll lose weight.
If you're eating at a vast surplus then exercise alone can't do it, no, but if you're going to lose weight, you may as well add exercise into the bag as well.
>which is usually due to eating too much compared to the amount of exercise you do
Except no, man. You can't really measure shit through the exercise you do alone.
You may burn, what? 1000 calories doing exercise? That's a burger. That's a couple baked potatoes. Or maybe you're just not eating enough.
I'm not saying exercise is absolutely negligible. It's stimulus that makes the muscles grow if you advance it (through reps, through sets, through intensity, etc) but I've yet to meet a single person who can control their weight through exercise alone.
Again, I'm not saying exercise is not good. I'm saying how you look is more to do with your diet, and that "burning shit away" is not an effective way to get yourself to look decent.
He founded the empire and was an amazing strategist both militarily and politically. Augustus arguably achieved more simply because of the circumstances created by Caesar and his death. A lot of what was done by Augustus was already laid out for him by Caesar and would have been done by Caesar had he not been killed.
