This place is toxic and after years of being a /fit/izen I'm finally gonna leave. The fedora memes are what really did it for me those will the cancer that kills this board.
Pic very related
best of luck to the rest of you.
Good call. I've left before, for over a year, didn't miss it a bit. I'll be leaving for good probably in the fall when school starts getting hard and my real future begins.
Best of luck in life breh
>easily one of the worst boards
/fit/ turns up nuggets of gold still amongst the pool of shit. Have you seen /r9k/, /pol/, & /tv/? They're the unholy trinity of the actual worst places in human history.
The thing that is bad is that any board on 4chan can be addicting and suck you in. It's not so much that /fit/ is "bad," but leaving 4chan in general is always a good idea because at the very least it gives you more time to do something productive instead of shitposting
>Zyzz died for our gains
>Scooby got doxxed and left
>TinyTrip an heroed
>Vitamin Avenger systematically hunted down and killed all the remaining Trips Darth Vader style
>Our only and best hope Supermang got doxxed and trolled into leaving
Same old steroid general, fat hate threads, /plg/, and fuckboys thinking they're hit shit because they have a six-pack and do lmao2pl8 bench for reps. That's how it was when I got here, and that's how it still is. Whatever mystical /fit/ you have in mind is your initial impression of the board, something that can take a pretty long time to get rid of. Nothing has changed, you've just gotten tired of the same thing every time you come here.
The thing is there really isn't that much to discuss on the board. You have /plg/, /owg/ (or whatever it is), an occasional cardio general, calisthenics, bodyweight training, recipies, and qtddtot. These are basically te only things that need to be alive on a daily basis. The sticky covers most every other topic in terms of how to lose or gain weight, what programs to use if starting out or if have experience, everything you need to know. So since the board can support so many threads, you get a ton of manlet, bf%, high test, etc.
Years ago there were more threads about stuff that the sticky now includes. So those threads don't exist very long anymore. There was also more advice and knowledge coming from a few tripfags back when they were just called trips. But really, with that gone, and you get generations moving in, you're going to get a lot more of the shitposting that you see.
yet people still get mad about facial aesthetic threads
Honestly I think there needs to be a shift in the attitude towards people that are into fitness but just discussing life shit, which is basically what people here try to do. Most of the people here just want to socialize with like-minded people that are into fitness, so they say fuck /soc/, etc, cuz we can't relate to the people that post there.
The rules are fucking stupid. The best threads are always off topic.
Mods take note.
> TinyTrip an heroed
did he seriously?
summer 2011 masterrace reporting in, too. You're right, holy shit. That was the summer of Zyzz. Underneath him it was Jailbait Warrior, Tiny, that jewfro kid Casual, Thyme, etc. And Tiny.
Honestly though, I feel a Zyzz resurgence coming on. Idk why. I just feel it. I bet i'm right.
Statistically speaking most of you won't even leading meaningful or productive lives let alone "make it". And if you definition of making it is fucking club sluts and being a roided up douchebag faggot then I'm afraid you're beyond help.
In my opinion, 'making it' has always been living a life you can be happy with. If you're happy doing roids and fucking club sluts, then by all means, go for it. If you're happy with a simple job and a sweet girl on the couch, go for it. If you're happy being the best of class and landing a well paid job, go for it. A 'meaningful or productive life' is pretty damn subjective, while your post suggest it isn't.
Wise words on /fit/
Who would have thouht that
This is now a qt blonde blue eyed disney animation character thread
> elsa is hot as fuck
/pol/ still churns out good content regularly faggot what are you talking about?
/r9k/ was always trash
/tv/'s last hurrah was bane posting and now it has nothing but ragging on the nigger in the new star wars and the occasional good vikings thread.
Get your shit straight
>TL;DR: this is why Zyzz should be loved and respected by all
>Sometimes when I'm struggling with the last rep of my dyel rep I imagine Zyzz cheering me on in heaven
This stays between us, /fit/
i see it like this: we were all peaking in terms of simple excitement over that kid back then. listened to all the music in his videos, imagined ourselves as him while training at the gym, probably even acted a little like him in real life, too. then, naturally, time goes on and flavors change, etc. what's undeniable though, was that back then, we were all outputting a lot of light & spirit. So just do what you did back then, again. I'm not saying try to relive the past; that's not what I'm saying. Rather, try to again cultivate that spark while remembering no matter what our present-day age, we still have the rest of our fucking lives to do- or try to do- what-ever-the-fuck-we-want. It does not matter. There are no rules written, anywhere that say you *must "grow up" (this typically implies the 'get married/have kids/shitty job no matter how much you convince yourself you enjoy it/start using alcohol & bad foods more regularly until you get into that "i gotta start goin' to the gym again"/"i used to have a SIX-pack!"-mode). Good weather is upon us..... take advantage of it again, brothers. Because why the fuck not....
Been here since 2010. I remember posting in the same threads as Zyzz.
In the past year I haven't really been keeping up, I got a job, some girls here and there, and so on, but the old 2010-2012 /fit/ will always have a place in my heart.
We promised ourselves we will make it /fit/. 5 years, or 10, maybe some of us truly wont. But the idea that we are looking for change is what matters.
/fit/ is dominated by teenagers and early to mid twenty something's. Everything about it shows that.
Once you get beyond that age group it seriously starts to look like less and less of a place where you would want to spend your time.
