Never really deadlifted before but went for it today and ended up pulling lmao3pl8 so I was happy about that. Could prob do more so I guess its time to start incorporating it into the workout.
5'10'' kom once I pull that 4plaet ill be 1000+ club
Sigh. I'm doing lowbar, I can't seem to balance the bar on my traps, it's supposed to fit nicely in the groove, but it keeps sliding down dominantly on my left side. I have to push the bar really hard, and it slides down at the bottom, I have to slide it back going up.
What is happening?
Having a meet in two weeks I did my last really heavy squat session - did a nice double at 405, could've grinded a third rep.
Do you think I'll manage to get a 440 squat in the meet? The reps were probably a bit "too" deep, esp. the first.
Can I have a form check please?
It's my fifth set, by this stage usually it's so fucked up that I have to good morning the living shit out of it to complete the set.
You can see my left arm struggling, pardon the random spotter.
My guess is it's either an elbow positioning issue or your standing too upright causing the bar to slide down your back.
Play with an empty bar and see if you can find that sweet spot.
dyel newbie here, can I get a form check on my squat too please?
sorry for the shit angle that's the best I could come up with
>cutting so constantly miserable and tired
>failed my deadlifts today, couldn't even get off the ground weight that I usually do a heavy triple with
>some guy tried to recruit me into a pyramid scheme in the middle of my workout
>front wheel on bike deflated on the way home, fell off on a turn where I drifted
>totaled the fucking bike, cost me $1k and I only got to ride it for a year before I fell off today and completely bent the handlebar and fucked up the brakes/chains
>bruised the fuck out of my leg too
>grades in the fucking shitter
what do you guys do when you have a completely fucking shit, whole world is against you day? I just feel exhausted and beat up as fuck, not to mention mad as fuck about that bike. I've had a 50$ bike last me for 6-7 years and then I splurge on a nice one since I cycle so much and now look what happened. Fuck. How do you guys relax or unwind?
i can't squat properly because i don't have a rack in my fucking gym, i'm placing the bar in the fuckind dips thing and i'm too wide to take it off from there.
i probably can lift more than that. i'm finding a gym 2 months later.
stop looking down, look forward and slightly up, pick a spot on the wall and dont stop staring at it
chest up is a shit cue yes but get your torso straighter ffs, you throw some more weight on there and it looks like youll buckle
and finally, attack it, control the descent, be violent on reversing the weight
Fuck. I had this shit before so I tried to widen the grip to fix it. Apparently I fucked up further.
Should I deload and go high-bar or just practice arm positioning with a low weight?
Not when the frame's a bit fucking bent too. Even then, it's not like that shit's cheap, good parts cost money.
Camus? Maybe it's been a while since I've read him, but wasn't he against suicide? Something about it being logical but tragic and wasteful.
I see people in my gym squatting like this with a narrower stance and feet pointing forward.
It's like they've literally watched anyone squat in their lives. Seriously, at least watch a fucking video of an exercise before you attempt it otherwise you're completely wasting your time and more likely to injure yourself.
