What's /g/'s alternative to Skype, for video calls?
And why the fuck is there a constant noise in Skype calls's audio? Even when all the mics are muted, there's still noise! WTF?
whats the best amd processor for playing gaems at 4k with 3 65 inch hdtv's and a crossfired titan z setup?
Anyone have an unlimited plan with Tmobile?
I'm curious about their unlimited data plan and binge on. Does this also include tethering? As in I'm aware that they get mad if you tether 2TB of data/month but would their binge on policy not count your data if it's via netflix or whatever apps they say will qualify?
What if I use up a bunch of data but not like an insane amount. Say 100gb/month, will they get angry at something like that?
Yes OP, just tested this myself (currently on 3GB plan though). I streamed Pandora for an entire day of work and commuting and my data usage didn't increase in the slightest.
Streaming video and audio does not count against your plan. It's unlimited by default.
Was gonna change to Cricket or MetroPCS for a cheaper plan but this new promotion is keeping me with T-Mobile for now.
Ok I'm tired of looking for good launchers and only finding gimmick looking launchers that I'll remove a week later.
Googling is hopeless and I have no idea where to look.
So how about an Android launcher thread?
Apus, Action launcher
These are the only relevant launchers, my fav is between Lightning and Action Launcher
>power goes out at work
>oh shit oh shit oh shit, got to shutdown the servers quickly
>go into server room
>all the servers, switches, everything is beeping like crazy
>leader developer storms into the server room "DON'T SHUTDOWN THE SERVERS, THE DEVELOPERS HAVEN'T SAVED ALL THEIR CODE YET"
>"How long will that take?"
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
When was the power going off? Did you have more time to let them save something?
However it sounds like their fault, they knew the power was going off and waited to the last moment to save hours of work...?
Linux Mint 17.3 just got released, GET HYPED!
my back hurts
whats the best chair?
Nvidia GeForce 359.00 WHQL driver
My current build has:
16GB of RAM
Zotac GTX 970
It's really good, and I see no point in upgrading for many many years to come.
I have an Xbox One laying around, I no longer use it, ever since I got that PC, I have a bunch of shit with it so I could sell it for a decent price. Should I do that, and then get a 2nd build?
^ these are the parts im thinking about, I would like to OC the CPU.
I could then pickup 2 HD 7970s and crossfire.
what are /g/'s thoughts on the 2011-v3 socket, i have the 2011 socket and enjoy it, was hoping to upgrade my mobo and processor early next year...or should i hold out for something else?
HALP /g/ I just bought a new laptop
specs: geforce 920m with INTEL GRAPHICS
IT CRASHES BIOSHOCK AND FUCKING TORCHLIGHT 2 even in 1080p resolution
WHAT THE FUARK
how do i solve this problem???
>there are literal retards on /g/ who use bloated proprietary file managers on their phone or tablet instead of the vastly superior, ad-free, open source Amaze.
So basically if you buy one of these you are playing roulette to see if you get one with a Toshiba SSD or a Samsung SSD. The Toshiba ones apparently are much faster.
How can MS get away with this?
Because 99.99999% of people who buy ultraportables don't give a single shit and will be using it solely for facebook and blogging, just like macbooks.
If anyone actually cared about that much about disk speed on a notebook they would buy a Precision/Clevo/Razer/etc that even support SSD RAID.
Audiophiles are cancer?
Not really... They tend to be reclusive and spend time waxing on about gear in their own communities and are rarely seen in public or arguing about the quality of their audio unless you explicitly stumble into an audiophile forum.
As long as you leave them be its like they're not even there.
What language is /g/ using for their everyday CLI apps?
Imo PHP is the best. There is no reason for using something else in 2015.
