I've been using arch for few month now, and have really grown to like things about it, pacman, AUR, easy custom ability. However, I am doing a fresh install on another computer, and really don't want to go through the hassle of setting everything up. Are there any distros that you just install and have a decent basis to begin working with? I checked out antergos, what does /g/ think of that?
With the same money, i can buy LG G3 or Motorola Moto G 3rd gen.
Now you would say there's no dillema since lg g3 seems the better option.
But i don't think i can get comfortable with a 5.5 inch screen and the moto seems more possible candidate for more future updates. Also im not a man that wants much.
Is anyone the owner of one of these devices? What's your experienence?
I just went through this last weekend figuring out which phone to buy for my first new phone since the nexus 4.
Went with the Moto G (16GB) and a 64GB microsd... Most the other phones in the price range were too large or nearing EOL. My main concerns were battery, price, and not getting a phablet.
So with intel moving to a tic-toc-toc cycle do you think we'll be able to use the cannonlake 1151 socket 200series chipset processors with the current z170 motherboards like the rog hero VIII or gigabyte gaming 7 with a firmware update?
Trying to decide between getting a 6600k i5 and upgrading at end of life to cannonlake or getting the 6700k i7 and keeping it through another one or two socket changes like my last(current) setup

/g/ do you think its better to upgrade to a better video card now or wait until the next generation. Currently rocking a r9 270x
it's always better to wait if you don't have an immediate fps problem, i held out for years and jumped from NV10 to G92 and it was like replacing gif with webm
G92 to GK106 was a total disappointment in comparison

Should I dual-boot linux?
Despite what people say, distro does not matter that much.
If you want something that just works, go with a *Ubuntu. Pick the default DE you think you like and see how it is.
If you have hardware issues with another distro, check if it works with Ubuntu before giving up.
I personally like KDE.
It offers great control and whether you like to configure via GUI or config file, KDE let you do what you want and still offers a traditional desktop.
Maybe you find something you like as well.
Any of you niggas know what this thing is?

As old as that chip as motherboard are, might be time too consider upgrading bro.
