Just recently had Google Fiber installed but I don't get very good signal in my room so my speeds aren't as great as they should be. I can't run Ethernet into the network box because it is too far away. Would a power line adapter be a good choice and if so, what would /g/ recommend?
This, unless you're having problem with connectivity through thick walls.
Power line adapters are hella slow if they are on different fuses.
Just get a AC capable router or a switch and draw some 1Gbps cables.
The temperature in an apartment must be kept between 18°C and 20°C. If the
temperature reaches 22°C then the fan is switched on; if the temperature reaches
16°C then the heater is switched on, otherwise the fan and the heaters are switched
The following library routines are available:
Write an algorithm, using pseudocode or a flowchart, to keep the temperature at
the right level.
Is Avast! still the official anti-virus of /g/?

Why don't web proxies work at unblocking websites? I live in the U.S. and can't view this .de site even though I have a German proxy. What gives?
why would anyone spend more than $700 on a tv?
>having a tv larger than 50 inches
>having a tv with apps
I know 1440p is great if you don't want to pay exorbitant amounts for a functional 4k setup, but are 144hz monitors worthwhile or just a meme? For games and for general stuff.
My ex-boyfriend just gave me an Intel i7-4790K, GIGABYTE Z97X-UD3H motherboard and the stock Intel cooler.
Can I spend about $500 for the extra stuff that I need and have a decent gaming PC? I'm really tight on cash atm.
Is there any way at all to get this on android? All my friends have iphones and are in a big group chat together but can't add me because I have an android.
Honestly at this point I'm almost ready to buy an iphone just for the ability to group chat with other ones.
I know this is a troll post, but come on. iMessage/Messages will switch to SMS if you add someone in the group chat that has a non-Apple device, and does so without any additional steps.
FUCKING LEAVE ME ALONE
Not a computer expert, I'm wondering if this is worth buying because its in my price range. Would it be able to run Fallout 4?

Ok, I need to know how to decrease the size of Standby Memory.
And, don't give me a lecture.
I know what the fuck it's used for. Just tell me how to decrease the size to... say... 2GB.
When left alone for a while, it fills up almost all available memory, and then it doesn't dump. I've had BSOD and hard crashes saying I'm out of available memory when my "used" memory is like... half of my total memory.
I would prefer something I can either do graphically or in the Command Prompt.
Mpc-hc is throwing hissy fit when playing 10bit 1080p HEVC video.
Basically bashes my 2 ULV cores on my Celeron 2957U to 100% making the video stop run at 2 fps per second.
The player itself is up to date to most stable version.
Running mad vr with the setting on the install gentoo wiki and so far never had problems.
Disabling DXVA does nothing, updating Inter drivers also did nothing.
Now newest Lav filters log on git shows has changes considering this particular format.
When downloading them and trying to play with VLC the file shows artifacts and it is unwatchable.
Downloaded Pot player and the files work fine.
What can be the problem?
Mad VR,LAV or something else
using qbittorent atm, willing to switch
I want something like an archive list of previously downloaded torrents
so that when I move the completed torrent from folder it doesn't have "missing files".
very good edition
So I have two questions.
1) How do I obtain 100% *or as close as I can get* security and anonymity while online and using tor?
2) Where do I go for the best/easiest BTC purchasing? What sites?
There's a real neato GNU/Linux (or GNU plus Linux, as I've been want to call it lately) distribution called Gentoo that you might want consider loading into the memory of your computational device for the purpose of acting as an interface between your computer's hardware and you user space.
