i'm tired of baking my macbook (17″ 2.5GHz-early 2008, Model A1261)
is there an alternative or an easy way to reflow the gpu permanently?
or is there a certain usage behaviour around it like keeping the fans above a certain RPM?
I'm posting from the 15" early 2008 mbp. when these machines were new i reflowed hundreds of them. This computer has the nvidia 8600m GT which was the subject of a class action lawsuit against nvidia. The hardware is broken there is no permanent fix. Apple extended the warranty and did free replacements for 4 years after the purchase. you need to find a revision 2 motherboard, get a new computer, or keep reflowing it. this wasn't only an apple problem.
Got a couple of Optiplex GX520's worth revamping?
One has a 40GB HDD and 2x256MB ram
What should I do with them? I believe they both work

Haha xFCE just works though it's really a great piece of software I love it really great oh my god it's so much better windows 10 or whatever else Mac OS X or BSD type shyt these stupid fucks can come up with
>more secure & stable than virus infested wangblows
>more professional programs and games than loonix
>based on unix, can do pretty much everything loonix can
>polished, not made by basement dwelling neckbeards or poo2theloos
How can other OS's even compete?
>How can other OS's even compete?
By being cheap enough for the general public to afford them.
Yes there are poor people who can't afford macs and yes you can feel better than them if you want to. Doesn't change the fact that producing cheap computers lets you compete with Apple.
I use computer and os interchangeably here because you pretty much have to buy a mac to use Mac OS
Hey guys, I heard you were pretty experienced in this subject.
I'm working on an arduino project for school, and I'd like some help.
First of all, what's the difference between the arduino uno and the arduino micro?
Secondly, why don't my buttons work? I've plugged them in the right way.
Lastly, why do you have to use C++? I want to use html, which is easier.
It appears that you have posted in the wrong board
this board is dedicated to cumming on stallman figurines and installing obselete software for e-points
For gauenteed replies please post it in

Polarity is essential
i'm about to go for a degree in cyber security and i want to get a head start on programming. i learnt a little bit on java a few years ago, with the help of pic related. i want to get back into it, what's the best way for a beginner to pick up java?
I've never built before so i could use some help.
I definitely need a gtx 980, 16GB of RAM, a good cpu and a big HDD.
What motherboard should I get?
Is the CPU i have there ok?
what are you looking to do with your build?
if gaming, then i5 is fine
if editing/rendering/cpu intensive tasks, then go i7
also your processor is at a locked frequency, so you dont need an aftermarket cooler. the stock intel cooler that comes with the processor should be fine.
case is (semi) subjective, as long as its the right size then just pick something you like.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
New 2016 ThinkPads announced:
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).

I might have to get an XPS 15 since I can't find anything else even close to what I want in a new laptop.
The X260 is almost perfect, but it's gimped by single-channel RAM (and all the other modern X-series compromises).
Maybe I should just keep using my Latitude E6510 and wait to upgrade until laptops catch up with what I want from them.
What Bible software does /g/ use?
I'm getting quite sick of using e-sword and am looking for an alternative
I, as a confirmed catholic, thoroughly enjoy the opensource fire program. It allows me to destroy literature which defies our supreme being, while also letting me be blissfully ignorant since its human architecture compatible.
Riced or not, bring it.
