Best studio monitors under $500?
You do not own a studio, stop being a stupid cunt and run some good quality car audio 6.5" splits in your own MDF box.
Enjoy 99% the same SQ with the same or more volume for $200 or less.
Don't take anyone's opinion on this... Go to your local music store if you live in a big city. They will have a room full of monitors. You can give them a CD with familiar tunes and listen to all of them.
You have to try before you buy with speakers. At least buy used as a starting set
Is it wise to use floppy disks instead of USB for more secure storage?
>Floppy disks die a lot for no reason. Shit sucks
This, fuck floppies. Just get several USB sticks or SD cards and make more than one backup of any mission critical data. Encrypt the files if you're worried about unauthorized people accessing said files.
If this holy man, would still be alive, what would change? Unlimited energy? Flying cars? He would've changed the goddamn world, he is the Jesus of science/technology.
>There's people right now using a distro other than Linux Mint, or Debian Stable.
Ok, let's settle this once and for all,
will VR be a gimmick like 3D and motion control were or will it truly change the market?
I personally think it will go down the same road as 3D but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.
what ya thinking, /g/ents?
It depends on technical implementation.
And gyros are already used in a lot of applications (most importantly navigation), which is why almost every smartphone now comes with 'em.
>I personally think it will go down the same road as 3D
Most animals and humans have significant amounts of 3D sensors and processing power.
I don't expect animals to adapt VR too soon, though.
>you just KNOW
Okay /g/, you are now a 1337 hacker. What's your alias?
Old thread is close to its limit.
I dont feel like making a single photo atm of my station at its whole (zoomed in pics, plus screenshots). so I'm just gonna post 2 other pictures.
Thinking about adding a monitor on the left in portrait mode.
Not sure which model to go with, can you guys reccomend any?
Find me a nicer sub $1000 understated metallic wristband watch that doesn't have 3 unnecessary dials.
What hard drive do you use for your Master Archive? Internal or external?
What hard drive do you use for seeding?
What are you hoarding?
I'm currently hoarding 2TB of loss-less music. All neatly organized as well.
An old 640GB laptop hdd
I hoard Game Art/Developement Stuff, Programs, Tutorials, Music, Mod tools, related images, I even have a meme or two
-hundred
I dont keep everything though. Lot of the shit is garbage and needs some careful though before abandoning
them to a 2TB drive
Why do you want to use Linux?
What's stopping you from using Linux full time?
If you already use Linux full time what was the last thing you needed to sort out before you changed over permanently?
What were your biggest gripes with your last non Linux OS that prompted the change over?
I have 2 laptops and a desktop. I only have Windows on my desktop, both my laptops exclusively run linux. I only use Windows on my desktop to play games occasionally, maybe a couple days a month or so. I basically treat my desktop PC with Windows installed on it like a game console.
Riced or not, bring it.
Changed up 4chan css, now it's tiny ass.
What is the worst software you have ever had to use for school/work?

how bad do you fail as a company to not even update a core piece of your product 30 years after the fact?
What mouse does /g/ use?
Got this bad boy coming in the mail in 3 days.
As proven by pannenkoek2012, we've apparently had quantum computers since 1996.
While funny, this does open a discussion in programming.
Does anyone have any stories of programs being pushed beyond their limits? Whether it took you to a parallel universe or not? How so?
