Is Avast good anymore? I got a new computer and I remember how annoying as hell it was but it was decent for being free.
Any other good ones?
I tried it this month, but after 2 weeks it started saying my computer is unprotected, I need to buy the pro version and shit.
Also the settings were horrible.
Show me how /g/ browses 4chan
I am using 4chanX + selfmade css skin
>Can't see past 10 on a Galaxy Tab S2 Screen
Why is AMOLED such a joke? I thought that they would have figured it out after all those years.
how can a nonautist even like this pos?
worst OS I have ever seen full of bugs and cashes
the linux community seriously should get their fat asses together and work on one distro that works properly instead of having 5 man distros that get forked because of some flame war between devs on a mailing list everywhere
and then even the recommended "stable" distros like mint, debian, ubuntu, fedora etc all lack crucial features and are 4ever beta.
Which build should I get and why?
The AMD build costs more, and will use more power, but will it perform better?
What does /g/ think of e-ink readers? Worth?
I've already got a small Kindle library that I've just been reading with my Android tablet, but I'm thinking of getting a Kindle Paperwhite for better outdoor reading and battery life.
I heard you can't turn off the backlight, though. Is that true, and wouldn't that kill the battery life?
You should go for the kobo h2o model instead, if you don't want the waterproof feature just get the glo. Kobo tends to be cheaper and better for starting out, it's also way more open than the kindle
Can i change my resolution somehow? Like when i have broken display on one place, making the display fit in the non broken part of the monitor u feel me
See if the monitor's built-in settings has an option for 1:1 pixel mapping or scaling when you choose a lower resolution.
Failing that, see if your graphics driver settings has an option for 1:1 pixel mapping or scaling when you choose a lower resolution.
Can someone please explain why Mozilla's product development strategy is to make a slower version of Chrome?
The trackpad is a useless piece of technology. A serious laptop should not have one, and instead should be like pic related. I just want an X200 but with a higher resolution screen and new internals for improved performance and battery life.
I need a Windows laptop that actually looks nice.
Do you happen to know any?
>has to have a nice screen
>doesn't need to be powerful
Hey /g/, I don't really come on 4chan much anymore but I was thinking about buying a pre-owned computer this year for the holidays and I was hoping you guys could tell me if this is a good deal? I don't know a whole lot about hardware so excuse my peasantry.
TLDR: Is this computer with the following specs worth $700?
8gb Kingston Hyper X
XFX Black edition Radeon 7870 2gb DDR5
3tb Toshiba HDD
ASUS micro-atx Motherboard.
phanteks enthoo pro case
This is the only good contemporary trackpad in existence. Everything else is horrible dogshit by comparison.
>dat big, smooth glass surface
>dat natural scrolling acceleration and deceleration
>dat pinch to zoom
>doesn't accidentally register every accidental brush of the hand as a dragging action when Tap to Click is enabled
>being able to click anywhere with the newer MBP models
No one else is even trying. Why?
Made a python script (just a prototype, might port it to a faster language) that converts any filetype to PNG.
Now you can share whole floppy disks worth of files through this image board.
This image is an exe that plays silent night
(also, has this been done before?)
I saw some small speaker in a shop today and I am about to get tempted.
The item I saw was a "Bose Companion 2 Series III".
I'm not an audiophile or anything, I just want a clear sound that I can get by plugging some small speakers into the jack of my laptop.
I don't need a bunch of setup I don't know what to do with.
Now, I am conscious that if I get these Bose, I am paying for the brand. So, I am hereby asking /g/ what can be the alternative of this specific speaker.
Please, not something too dank since I'd like to be able...
Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Nothing compares to the crisp highs, the thoughtful mids and the penitent lows of Bose, anon. You get what you pay for.
When you buy them, pick up a set of cable pebbles while you're there, they really help to define the soundspace. Not even fucking right now, get them.
How did Stallman become such an alpha?
