Whats the best Anti-Virus, /g/?
>picture not related
Seriously who the hell decided this was a good idea? Everything about developing for this combo is like pulling teeth.
Yeah clearly it was a terrible decision that had key then with zero market share and no apps. They should have programmed for symbian os for all the Nokia phones that were flying off the shelf in 2010.
picked up this free flatscreen. salvageable or fucked for life?
Okay, I tried to make the most autistic operating system strawpoll possible.
Show me what you've got /g/:
Arch on desktop
FreeBSD on all servers
/g/, what the hell is this on my PC? The little green/black box that is. I had to use the camera on my phone to get this as taking a screenshot shows nothing there. Please help

Glad you brought back the ridiculous OP text, 9gag. I hope you know that microengineering is a made up word and micromachines are so small that they're measured in microns, a watch is not a micromachine at all. And yes I know that Grand Seiko is using MEMS machining now, that still doesn't make it a micromachine.
Pic related is actual MEMS, if you were curious.
/g I have been given an offer by my workplace to purchase 2 xeon e5-2670 for about $500 is this worth it? I will probably just use them for a work station build or a server.
There's literally nothing wrong with having an anti-virus software. Do you honestly want to leave your system defenceless while programs like malwarebytes and avg exist?
Yes, because I'm not an idiot. They slow down my computer and I'm careful enough not to install shit I'm not sure of. Sure, I'll scan new programs, but for the vast majority of my time, it's useless.
Wow, security bugs are found in a complex project! How horrifying!
>roommate got new laptop
>was convinced he could play his xbox one on it because it has an HDMI port
>after like 10 minutes I finally get though to him that it is just an output and not an input
>he decides to buy a monitor off Newegg to play
>buys it despite me explaining to him that it doesn't have speakers on it which is something he wanted
>"nah bro I see streamers use their monitors...

>can you pick me a laptop that can play my games and is also good for school?
I pick him a laptop that does all that for like €550
>My laptop is here, why doesn't it play my games???
Look at the box, turns out the retard saw a 'cheaper' model that wasn't half as powerful for €50 less.
>dad works in a bank
>uses online banking on personal account at work sometimes
>practically never uses computer at home
>does online banking once at home
>doesn't log out
>mom sees this and mentions it to him
>he gets angry and says that this computer is different and he doesn't know how
>mfw I know people who could probably be halfway decent active directory admins yet don't know what OS is on their laptop
How does this work exactly?
How do I add a unix executable to a Swift Xcode project for MacOSX, then use it?
Trying to write a wrapper for ffmpeg, without the user having to install ffmpeg beforehand.
Two weeks from now we will find out what the "breakthrough" is that they delayed the Vive for.
Anyone hype? What do you think it could be? What are you hoping for?
VR general maybe.
Maybe super wide FOV or ultra low latency tracking since those would be really big breakthroughs.
The more I've gotten to use an HMD the less hyped I am for them to be honest. I like the isolation more than anything since blocking out all the distractions around you makes concentrating a hell of a lot easier. Its pretty comfy for movie watching too which is a big plus, but I can live without it.
Marketing hype. Ignore. Buy donuts instead.
