What does it feel like to be a really good programmer and to have passive income from all of your apps that you have on play store / windows store / istore ??
Hey /g/ I was told this is more of a question for you guys
I know a dude who said he will sell his old setup to me for $500, everything looks pretty damn good, at he takes care of his tech I can't find a scratch, blemish or even dust on any of it
Two HS80M monitors
HS8S 8" Subwoofer
Dr Pro Studio Monitor Stands
Would that be worth 500 bucks? or should I ask him to go to 4
I don't make music, just love listening to it, would the setup be wasted on me? Or is it even a good deal?
>he uses linux as his primary OS
>he uses windows as his primary os
you will defend this
It serves no benefit other services that are offline can provide, and it encourages users to recklessly post their personal information online which is a major privacy and security risk. Then of course it sells are said information. There are no net positives to it.

plus useless shit i don't want to lose my time with.
>Twitter's former VP of Products Kevin Weil joins Instagram as the new Head of Products
Look at that jaw.
Chads have taken over tech.
when will you learn that, is not only what's on the outside that counts, but also how much money you have!
Why is it legal for mircosoft to embed malware into their programs? I mean did suddenly people who create virus's and other forms of malicious software get a pass and become respectable members of the community?
I guess that would explain those ad's saying download this free tool.
What are the constraints of shrinking silicon?
What was stopping foundries from pumping out 14nm chips in 2010? Was it the lithography? Is there some sort of dependence on earlier slightly larger silicon in order to create newer slightly smaller nodes?
Why does silicon only get ~30% smaller every year? What's preventing them from just saying "Oh shit, transistors are gonna be 200% smaller in a few years. Let's just do what we'd have then, except now!"?
shrinking means finding new ways of making transistors smaller. the reason this is hard is that electricity can travel through material at a very small scale, they call it leaking.
so basically they have to find new materials that don't leak as bad or think of new ways to make transistors like 3d transistors.
Why don't scientists just come out with high net output nuclear fusion power? Like they know how to do it in theory, so why don't they just make it today instead of years from now?
The answer is that absolutely enormous R&D is done in stages.
What if all of /g/ got together and made a network based super computer.
Think about it, we could use this network to preform complex tasks in a matter of seconds.
We could allow anons to submit computation requests and then a council of /g/ods who get together would pass judgment on what requests gets filled and what get ignored.
Well , gentlemen , i want to ask you if my gpu its actually good (AMD radeon 6700 series). Any tips?
that depends on what you use it for and what you want out of it. If you older games at higher settings and newer games at lower(basically at near minimum) setting and you're okay with that, its fine. If you want to play Far cry primal or "insert newer AAA game here" at higher settings and 1080p its junk.
your next quest will be, "well if its bad what should I get?"

there you go senpai
what's up with people having over 16gb of ram?
Does one generally need more than 16?
Also virtual box isn't a good enough reason
My HP Pavilion laptop is having some problems. I got it 4-5 years ago, and recently updated it to Windows 10. Everything was going okay, despite it running a little slower, then, suddenly, it pretty much died. It told me I had a FAT file system error, and wouldn't turn on for a few days. Now, it will do some automatic system repair, but it only loads up to a black screen. All of this would be fine, but I forgot to backup my files, including my reaction folder. So, is there any way to fix it or at least extract my data? Thank
You need to replace your harddrive eitherway(I think, don't quote me on this), but if you're lucky, you'll be able to retrieve the files if you use a USB to sata 2.5" cable on the near dead old HDD.
And it's full of all kinds of cool shit
>all kinds of shit
>Steve Jobs long dead
>Apple still going strong
Guess he really wasn't the key to their success.
Either that or he left them a really baller long-term road map.
im pretty sure he aint dead
same thing about paul walker and tupac. im pretty sure they aint dead, they just living on an island right now or they signed papers to explore other planets in the solar system. since they know that they are risking their lives, nasa (or whatever space agency thats hosting this service) wants to keep it low key so that in case they do fail, their company's rep isn't tarnished. so they made up a story for their loved ones to share on facebook and report to the news.
