Will they ever figure out a way to block automatic updates in Windows 10? Not "deferred", but completely and totally block.
I'm on LTSB N with deferred updates enabled and all of Rajeet's scripts run, but these automatic updates have me seriously considering going back to 7. For example, I lost all of my custom trackpad settings recently when Windows 10 decided the driver software needed to be updated (it didn't, it was fine). Not a big deal one time, but we all know they'll eventually un-do the pseudo-privacy scripts some of us employ.

Hi I am a retard. I have a ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 mother board. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z77%20Extreme4/
I need to get a new cpufan/heatsink since I have a stock intel one on and it seems to be just going ape shit all the time.
Not sure if it matters, but i have a Intel i5-3570K quad core cpu
How do I know which ones will fit, or just recommend me one please!
I was joking. It's way, way too much. The motherboard doesn't matter, pretty much any cooler is going to fit that socket. What matters is if your case has enough room to fit the cooler. What kind of case do you have?
would you fuck a robot?
>mfw booting up a linux distro
WTF! I thought this was supposed to be lighter than Windows!
I can take a shit faster than this!
How the fuck did intel manage to make single thread performance on Skylake chips worse compared to Haswell? Also only ~1% better multi-core performance?
Is intel fucking trolling us?
No competition. AMD chips have been dogshit for the past 5 years so intel hasn't really had any incentive to make better chips. Their customers are also so fucking stupid they'll buy anything even if it's dogshit.
its due to cast dye shrinkage.
the jump from 22 to 14nm meant they probably had to sacrifice single core performance in favour of better multi core.
the only thing good about these new CPUs is the decreased power consumption, which is useufl for laptops.
if you looking to get it for a pc though, a top of the line a few generations back would be better than whats currently on the market
So, I'm at a crossroads here. I've been a long time mac user, but as I finish out film school I need something...stronger. Macs are cool as a visual piece but I think now I need something more practical. My question comes in here: What should I buy for editing?
Obviously something powerful but idk exactly where to start because I've been a macbook pro user for a while now, but I refuse to pay $2500+ for some mediocre hardware.
I have two questions:
Should I get a laptop or desktop? I normally love laptops but maybe a desktop will be more practical...

Unless you absolutely must have portability, a desktop would almost certain suit your needs better.
What's your budget?
Hey /g/angsters, this stuff keeps your circuit board or general wire matrix free of outside buttfucking via moisture and thermal/physical shocks.
How do I make this shit myself? I'll need a lot,
and $20 for every few miliLiters won't cut it financially. Anybody have any tips? or a cheaper provider?
and I don't want to spend
you could experiment with epoxies. if you need it rubbery, look into spray rubber or for tool handle dipping or whatever. If you don't need it transparent, of course. and mostr importantly meter whatever material you use.
I've always just put hotglue or kapton tape over anything important, but maybe you could use clear nail polish if mousture is an issue? Two part epoxy is also a traditional low-cost potting solution, though it will be messy for a big board like that.
I need some help /g/.
My computer shit itself, and in the meantime I'm using an old pc I got years ago.
What's the best Linux distro to use on it?
Here's the specs
>2 gigs of ram
>280 gig hdd
> AMD Athlon II X2 245 Processor
>no video card just the integrated graphics.
How long does DDing a drive take /g/? First time doing it, I'm installing arch and thought it would be a good idea to wipe the drive before I begin the install. Wiping ubuntu off it.
With all the faggots shitposting about how they need a new PC and what components they want, I decided to put up /pcb/ again.
Should I get Skylake or Haslel? I'm building a new rig but not looking to overclock.
So ive tried, extremely hard, to overclock my old WMO 1.1a.
Windows 10 is a bitch to opperate with. Basically everything in registery is locked so im not allowed to change anything. Cant even remove mouse acceleration.
All the forums talking about this are just a bunch of sperglords that just rant about how 125hz is no different from 1000hz. (which is clearly false)
Has anyone here tried to overclock their mouse and remove acceleration in Win 10? Would really appreciate the help.
>Basically everything in registery is locked so im not allowed to change anything. Cant even remove mouse acceleration.
AHAHAHAA, is this for real? Even Pajeet can't defend this, not for the 2 microsoft coins he gets per post.
What do you think of this gaymur build? Did he do well?
I'm hoping for the pc to be mostly used for gaming and I don't mind spending a little bit higher. Please do not include monitors, keyboard, or a mouse. It would also be nice to include a 1TB hard drive. I would also prefer if you guys used pcpartpicker.
