Let's limit the scope of this thread just to technology related matters.
Who is the most /g/-friendly candidate? Foreigners feel free to chime in as well, since our telecom policies are your problem as well.
I'd say Rand Paul.
I'm not American but have seen the first half hour of the GOP debate and it was a fucking meme show.
It was 90% about ISIS and how they will blow them the fuck off, another 10% about how obummer has put the US in danger by not providing enough security.
ITT: we discuss technology we wish existed for the consumer market.
I'll start, VRAM expansion cards, ultimately revolutionizing how we pick and buy GPU's

i hate this whole win 10 shit. i want to uninstall gwx.exe with all its folder from sys32 but apparently its forbidden.
>non-K skylake models can be overclocked on certain motherboards
A cynic in me thinks this is just Intel's way of blunting the effect of the soon to be released AMD's Zen. They know if AMD's Zen has any future, it will gobble up the lower end market a bit. Intel can afford to chop off a finger or two to cut off AMD's arms or legs.
An optimist in me thinks this is Intel losing influence...

This has technically been possible for a while the only reason no one does it is that it can actually damage hardware on the mobo. Intel CPUs since sandy bridge have a unified bus which everything goes through including slow speed devices. If you overclock that then the slow devices run faster than they're designed to.
so when they do release publicly available brain implants will one of the features be to completely block certain pieces of media and render it so you simply cant see/hear them? this would save me A LOT of undue stress and irritation
pic related is one of the music groups i would completely block for example

would a 27 inch 1440p monitor be enough to really "wow" me? I'm running a shitty ass 20 inch 1600 x 900 monitor at the moment and I need to upgrade immediately
Do it. I don't know what it is that would wow you personally, but I know that I would not be willing to use the size and resolution you currently are using. Hell I'm even becoming unsatisfied with 1080p
Is it any good for development. Are you using it /g/?

Supporting Free Software is an integral part of building a good future for us and generations to come. Why? The reason is simple. Proprietary ideologies are the enemies of human progress. If we, as a species, cannot contribute to the world, then we will never advance. Transparency is paramount. How can we ensure that the biological augmentations we receive in the future function as they are supposed to without reviewing and auditing the code?
Let's say you needed a pacemaker to live. It is sold by a company that has made the source code proprietary and closed. The unit you have is known to have a bug that causes it to give out at random intervals, but this was discovered after your doctor prescribed you this unit. There are no other units available. The company responsible for the production of your unit has simply stated: "We're working on it."
How is this in any way acceptable? Your life is in constant mortal danger because of the company's unwillingness to patch the bug. This would never happen if the code and hardware were released under the GPL.
Build a better future. There is no reason to support the opponents of Freedom.
Same applies to the retarded concept of "patents".
Good goyim believe patents are there to protect the small inventors, but in reality they're only there to protec the corporate interest.
Patent laws need to be reviewed and changed
What are /g/'s opinions on the various coding languages? Pic related, I want to learn Java- and then learn Python. Though i've heard Python is a meme-tier coding language.
Nah, not really. There will be more data collection, fewer protections for user's private information, and companies will have the legal framework in place to sue many more people for copyright infringement around the world.
There won't be any real changes to the average person's user experience.
Macrumors has these listed as "Don't Buy - Updates Soon".
I want to get one but how soon is soon exactly? WDCC is around June, right?
How much more expensive are the newer models likely to be?
>How much more expensive are the newer models likely to be?
doesn't really matter much as the prices rose beyond the line of reasonability years ago and if you're still buying mac products now i don't think a price hike is going to make you stop because you're a retarded consumerist easily swindled by marketing
