Anyone have one of these bad boys? They look like very cute and comfy anime consumption machines
Anyone else here planning on picking one up?
I am desperate for the bottom bezel to be thinner like the Nexus 6. Having a fat chin bar plus the OSB means even less of the front is actual usable display. Nexus 6 chin bar is super comfy, whereas the Nexus6P has the same body size, but less screen real estate.
Don't fuck me over HTC.
Know of any Black Friday deals you're looking forward to?
What do you think PS4s will go for?
Predictions in general?
Trust me, /g/uy, PS4 is not worth it. I fell for the meme. I regret it. And I bought it for $250.
Unless you are planning on buying a lot of weeb games for it, it's a waste of money.
Its time to get started.
iOS10 comes with tons of new health metrics, one including where it asks for your weight when you first open the health app.
I say we make an infographic stating that force touch can weigh you if you stand on your iPhone 7
>1080p 5.5 inch display
>Micro SD card slot
>250 dollars unlocked
Is the Moto G4 plus the best budget phone atm?
It's pretty good but I would recommend paying an extra $50 for the Moto X Pure. Or just buy a used Nexus.
I truly hope you're using custom firmware. If not, get flashing because the chink botnet makes Microsoft look like saints.
Currently using one of these right now, liking it very much. Upgraded from the G2 mostly for storage reasons as it's the cheapest with my carrier for 32gb and the 8 gigs just weren't cutting it. Currently waiting on a 64gb SD card in the mail too to dump all my music on.
What was software piracy like in the old days?
I first started to pirate stuff in 2005 and even back then it was just copying the crack to the proper folder
>Shelly did you hear about anon? He STILL uses AMD products even though he's not even poor or anything
/g/ I did it. I installed gentoo. I know it's not the most difficult experience in the world, but I feel so accomplished after building my own system and kernel. I love it.
I'm going to buy two GTX 1070s to power my 4k monitor as soon as nu-DOOM gets its SLI patch.
Does anyone here have an actual job or do you guys just write C all day?
I'm a NEET I'm a straight up G
The NEET life is the life for me
Casting spells by day, selling skins by night
Being a NEET is hella tight.
I walk around town with a stark erection, then gave your mom a yeast infection
I saw the tax man and I punched him in the eye
To take my NEETBUX, WHAT A LIE!
I also don't like white people, you shouldn't too
And don't get me started about the jews
>The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission today issued an announcement urging anyone using a Samsung Galaxy Note 7 purchased before today to "immediately stop using and power down" the device and seek a replacement or refund, due to the risk of battery overheating and fires.
Apple Iphone does not have this problem...
nor does nexus, or htc, or lg, or or huawei, or motorola, or sony, or xiaomi, or asus.
Windows 10 reset is taking forever send help.
Why is open source software so atrociously ugly as shit? Ricing doesn't apply here to defend it.
It is pretty simple: Programmers are not designers.
While the open source is great for software development, its advantages doesnt benefit software designers pretty much.
And since these open source software projects are often free of charge, they don't get enough money to hire a software designer.
*** Official /g/ Friendly Forth Forth Thread ***
Non autisitcs welcome
I spent alot of time thinking about how to program in a more lazy way and here it is:
>This shit is easy as fuck to learn
>This shit is fast as fuck
>This shit can run on any computer, even old computers from the 1980's. You can get it down to less than a kilobyte.
This is some zen monk shit I pulled from the mountains,...

i was at work reviewing a procedure with a coworker. he doesn't know how to code, mind you. i wrote a bash script to perform a certain task crucial at work for us. i've done similar things in the past before. this time, he turns to me and says "you're automating too many things!"
Why do you care if the government records your calls and profiles you?
You could have cheese pizzazz on your comp and you wont be penalized.
All they care about are the distributors, killers, and the powerful. They dont give a rats ass about some neckbeard fapping to loli while crying about privacy and promoting linux
What does /g/ use to clean second hand electronics?
Just disinfectant wipes, I'm not usually as thorough as I should be. The most thorough cleanup I've done was an old apple keyboard with a large-print sticker on every key and plenty of dust+grime - I took off all the keycaps and soaked them in hot water to get the stickers off, then went over the whole thing with the wipes.
I also got a PS2 slim that was unfortunately kid-owned. Those controllers definitely needed a bit of scrubbing, but the console was already pretty good. The inside was less dusty...

I always have a jumbo pack q-tips and a bottle of isopropyl on hand. For large surfaces just windex and paper towels. Compressor in the garage for general dust.
If it's a particularly nasty one I'll use latex gloves.
i have a weird fetish for trying new browsers out. just wanted to bring this one to /g/'s attention and get y'alls openinion on it.
It is only available for desktop on Windows at the moment: http://polarityweb.weebly.com/windows.html
It comes with some nice built-in features such as tab sleeping, night mode, built-in proxy/vpn, privoxy, adblocking, picture-in-picture and more.
this might sound like a shill thread but im not telling you to install it and im not saying its good. i just wanted some opinions.
Click the link nigger.
Fist looking at it i seemed like another one of the 21322 chromium forks already out there.
>Built in screenshot tool
Definitely trying this browser
>most of the internet stops working
is there any escape from this botnet?
I wasn't, I'm not, a huge fan of systemd but it seems to be the way forward. Does Devuan or any other systemd resistant distros really have a chance of large scale, especially commercial, acceptance? I don't think so.
No, they don't, but that doesn't mean community distros that eschew systemD won't be viable for quite a while yet. No need to shove your cock in a blender any sooner than you have to.
I had one of these in the house when I was a baby but when we moved to America it vanished.
Although these days I can't operate without a mod key.
Just get a Unicomp Classic 104
Same shit (literally same factory) but with windoze keys added
>you have exceeded your monthly data cap
We're only halfway through September. Why is this allowed?
I got this text today:
"BSTFreeMsg You're at a 75% Threshold for data prioritization. At 100% you'll be prioritized lower at congestion times-See boostmobile.com/networkmanagement"
Never gotten it before. Been downloading hundreds of gigs the last few months and never got this text but have a new phone. Anyone with boost know how bad they 'deprioritize' in terms of speed? Also should only be peak hours but now I'm nervous
Anyone here use/maintain Solaris? Despite the fact it's expensive to get support and updates, it's a pretty stable system that I use at work. ZFS is great and UFS is okay on Solaris 10.
I like it a lot better than Red Hat because most dependencies don't require you to have subscriptions or support and you can snag them from pretty much any repository.
I haven't tried Oracle Linux yet, but I can't image it's much different aside from convention.
Following advice from /g/ I just deleted OSX and installed Linux Mint
It is good so far but I... sort of was expecting a challenge, Linux Mint is too easy. I feel like I've mastered this part of Linux already. So I'm going to move onto a more challenging distro now
which one is harder Arch or Gentoo
>all the cooling is done by a heatsink and fans
svchost.exe been inordinately busy for anyone else, lately?
i'm guessing a recent win update enabling some telemetry or some shit. what's the quickest way to find out which of the services in the tooltip is using up so much cpu?
looks like something in there is listening to be served by choice.microsoft.com, which quick search shows to be some kind of adserver feeding their products.
not sure why it would take up so much cpu, tho.
Yeah it's called look at the threads tab. Run Process Explorer as Administrator if the service names don't show up.
Everything's working fine for me on Windows 10, by the way. ;^)
So, like, why doesn't another company attempt to make a open-standard version of the MagSafe connector for use in modern smartphones?
I may not know much about patents, but couldn't someone just attempt to achieve the same effect with a different pin structure?
What's the best home theater software for watching my animes?
Pic related doesn't support segment linking/ordered chapters
I've been using Plex for a long time. It supports many devices and is one of the easiest to use when it comes to organization. The chapter and linking of (subtitle/video) files which is not supported for trans-code streaming should not deter you unless you absolutely need it.I believe that your best option is to build a small computer that is powerful enough to play your videos; than network your files via your desktop.
Looking for great data structures books.
