>i already got a IT diploma (IT Administrator)
What is the best desktop environment?
I saw a colleague running GNOME but I'm more of a KDE man myself. I know GNOME is supposed to be better but you know what they say, old habits stay.

What are you working on?
thoughts on my image /g/?
How come they fail this so often at delivering their products? All they have to do is a simple test on a couple of machines with different connections. Fucking crazy.
What's the best software for editing video and audio?
What's the funniest caption you guys can come up with for this?
Why are phones so pointlessly thin?
Why can't they make phones that are normal size and just use the extra space for more battery capacity?
Phones have perfectly fit into pockets for more than 4 generations.
I don't need a smaller or more powerful phone, I need more battery and storage.
So why install Gentoo?
I have windows 7 atm
I play alot of games from steam and orgin
also use alot of programs like winrar and Vuze and dolphin, and a lot more.
and be ok with my old specs.
My pc specs
Amd fx 4300 "quad"core cpu(its okay I put ice on it,)
some shit msi atx motherboard
nvidia evga gtx 750 ti 2gb(one fan)
8gb of ram
I hope some one can tell me more than I know about gentoo.
is there a way to limit audio like when watching a movie on my PC?
When im watching a movie sometimes the volume just randomly spikes up and its annoying
Check to see if you can enable dynamic range compression on your media player. It will level things out so that the louder parts and the quiter parts share a similar volume level. It's often called 'night mode' on some TVs and AV receivers.
Normalisation isn't the way to go, all it will do is raise the loudest part of a soundtrack to maximum without the it reaching a point where it clips (distorts). It won't do anything for the dynamic range (the difference between the quietest and loudest parts of the soundtrack). As mentioned >>56604573, compression is the way to go.
This is the Edimax EW-7811Un. It's $9.
Does anyone own it? How does it perform? Does it have good range?

I'm curious about apple products. I've never owned one. What's considered their best product? I'm considering getting an iPod touch or an iPad ( my carrier doesn't support iPhones)
what is the best mirc client? I tried mirc but it sucks to use without a script and most scripts are dead ?
>what is the best mirc client
Get the fuck out of this fucking board. Never connect to an IRC server ever again.
What sort of monitors are you using /g/?
What's just a meme and what do you think will last?
i bought an asus mg279q
freesync 144hz ips 27inch meme
the consesus of last and meme is very close.
every monitor you can buy now will soon be obsolete by HDR capable monitors next year, following affordable quantum dot and oled monitors in 2018
4k is a meme right now. Not saying it's not legit, but more it's a meme due to the fact hardly any games/series are in 4k resolution so it's a bit pointless. There's also no point in going 4k with a monitor that is not 35'' or above.
I heard freesync was placebo, but gsync is actually good. I personally never tried it. unsure if meme
anyway my monitor is 27'' 1080p @ 144hz @1ms , benq
Oy vey shut it down!
uhhh does nobody else see it....
So, is this actually good?
easy to learn to get you some experience with web dev
learn some more difficult shit as you get better
businesses aren't language autists, they pick tools that are easy for the whole team to learn and collaborate on
Ask someone who works for aws anything. 2 year anniversary today. You've got about a half hour while I'm bored on the train.
I think it's obvious by pic that AMD was never great
>keyboard has clit mouse built in
heaven on earth
>tfw you will never own a Model M13
i just want to die
literally only one keyboard with clit mouse built in has been made in the last 20 years
I never got why people buy all in one computers.
They have neither the portability of laptops and neither the modularity of desktop towers
Are there ANY advantages that all in ones that I may have missed?
Installing ubuntu from windows os.
Thinking of getting a new phone, price isn't an issue, post your thoughts on what i should get

ITT: Underrated Budget GPUs
Faster than a HD 4830, almost as fast as a HD 4850 costing half the 4850.It was also faster than a 9800GT.
Then we had the 4670 also in DDR5 variant...man HD400 series was powerful as fuck.
In the Nvidia side of things i can think of several good examples one being the 260 216 core...i remember the Gainward variant being extremely good and the Asus being shitty as fuck...dark night if i recall was the model.
If you HAD to get a gaming laptop, which one would you get?
New thread, boys. Ask away.
How long until mods come to their senses and start banning homescreen threads too?
How do I remove the botnet from Ubuntu?

C# or Java as a first language? And why?
I read that C# is a more well-designed language than Java, but Java has a greater amount of study material and documentation, including books that focus on Computer Science. Which one do you recommend?
What went wrong?
