How do i know if my 390 is defective?
It performs like garbage in most new games. It's pretty annoying when 970fags are bragging about how quiet, cold, AND well-performing their cards are, and all i have in return is "muh 3.5". granted, i do often go over 3.5 gigs of vram in new gaymes, it still fucking sucks how badly my card performs. why the fuck did i type all of this?
anyway, back to the original question.
I've got an XFX r9 390. how do i tell if it's defective?
Let's try to have a decent conversion here.
AMD is a somewhat good company, they're even trying to get closer to the Linux & FOSS world.
Their cards are good, sometimes even better then Nvidia cards, still their drivers are pretty bad.
Nvidia on the other hand, is not as good as a company, but their cards are as good as their drivers and software. Now I personally always choose Nvidia cards for this reason, especially since AMD Linux support is garbage.
Your radeon card is probably not performing so good because of the games you're playing are...

Sup /g/. I have to do a 3 minute powerpoint presentation on a scholarly article pertaining to my info tech class next week. Basically a bullshit class where we went over computer hardware, binary math, photoshoo, and network topology. Anyone know where I can find some scholarly articles about gpu's or something interesting with a hypothesis and tests and shit included?
FX 8320, or an i5 4690k for gaming? My budget's 1,200$ (canadian dollars).
Well, the Vive is now coming out in April 2016, with a new dev kit coming early January
Hopefully the new dev kit actually has some major improvements that justify the wait, because the wait is killing me, and I really don't wanna support Jewbook
Just got a new laptop, what are some good bookmarkable websites.
I'm pretty deep into my CS degree, however I neglected taking math until this year.
I haven't done math since high school years ago when the highest I went to was Algebra II.
Am I fucked?
I need up to Calculus III and Statistics.
Was it hard for you who studied CS?
Why does a browser need so much space?

What are you working on, /g/?
I'm upgrading my PC, in this black friday I bought a video card, a ssd and a new font,my next aquisitions will be a motherboard and a processor, my config today is this one:
>Font Cooler Master G600 600W 80 Plus Bronze, RS600-ACAAB1-WO - BOX
>GTX 680 EXO Point of View
>SSD 120gb Kingston
>HD Samsung 500gb 2x
>Processor Core 2 Duo 2.96hz
>4gb RAM DDR2
I want now to buy a SABERTOOTH 990FX, a 9590FX and 8gb RAM, the question is:
My font is suitable to the current hardware? When I buy the mobo and processor I'll need to change my font?
A friend of mine said that I should use only the ssd with this font, that I shouldn't use my HDs.
Don't buy a 9590 - get a 8370e (or 8320e) and clock it up to 4.7-5ghz. Make sure to get a beefy cooler to handle this.
The Cooler Master G600 600W 80 Plus Bronze, RS600-ACAAB1-WO - BOX will handle it? I'll be able to use my HDs or just the ssd?
Also why get the 4690k? I saw some videos and the 9590 is almost the same thing that a I7 4790K, it actually even have best performance in some games.
BTW: I don't understand much of hardware, so if I'm talking shit please explain me.
