New rms appreciation thread.
Since the GTX 480 had a Full hardware scheduler, that means it can run hardware asynchronous compute right?
will dx12/Vulkan make a GTX 480 a valid card again?
Nvidia lied. They said everything back to fermi would receive DX12 support but so far they have not actually released a supporting driver and the main reason I suspect (as you say) is because the housefire inducing hardware scheduler would make their newer aarchitectures look not so hot in comparison.
Do note fermi still wouldn't do async compute in the same way GCN does because of differences in design.
>The staff room printer is connected to the same secured WiFi as the one I'm in
How do I abuse it?

>started interning at intel this summer
>19, gonna be a sophomore CS major
>didn't need rich parents or connections to get the job

Who else here is living the life?
Would he have removed the headphone jack, /g/?
How the FUCK do they get away with it?
No /guts/ in the catalog. Post your innards. If you're brave, post your back cable management.
Only have component side. Build's 5 years old but whatever, Sandy Bridge is still sufficient for fucking off on the internet.
What text editor does /g/ use?
if the new iphone is so amazing why pic rel? someone care to explain?
So this was a total flop right?
They've sold millions and still sell more at a nice tick. Apple's failures would be considered brisk business to other companies. People hold Apple to higher standards. Whatever.
Personally I think it's fucking stupid but in 5-10 years it could be nice. I'm not charging yet another device every day. Get back to me when it lasts as long as my NASA-certified G-shock.
Who here #KodeWithKarlie?
i dont use a linux i dont use windows i dont use apple. i dont own a phone. what have the made worthwhile?
Why is steve so handsome?
>Got a cheap OSVR HDK 1.3 cause this is the only thing I could afford to get into VR
I wonder guys, for those who own one, can it run anything at all?
Do you think because it is Open Source it will fail the same way as Linux?
>all this butthurt about removing headphone jack
>can't listen to music and charge at the same time
Niggas, this is an old issue.
how do we fight them lads?
>stop liking what I don't like
you anti-Apple fags are far more annoying than Apple fags.
Just like the anti-sjw movement have come to be more annoying than most SJW's. You fags need to relax.
i don't give a fuck about your gay ass company.
i DO care about them trying to tell people an essential and core technology is "outdated" and trying to make people replace it with an elaborate cumbersome apple toy.
Also bluetooth headphones cost $20 for the past 10 years. kek

Welcome to Edition 1 of the /dst/ thread.
In this subchan, we will discuss our software choices, themes, and usability.
In your first post, please include a screenshot of your setup to break the ice.
While this is a NEW general, it's NOT a new concept for /g/ to discuss this stuff. Please follow the unwritten etiquette rules we've all followed in the past. This means no anime for the sake of anime, and being respectful of one another's opinions even if someone is wrong. Just tell them why they're wrong, don't call them bad names
How to manually install python packages on windows? I've got a tar file, now wat do?
Am I the only one who plays with computer cables with my feet under the desk?
Looking to buy a NAS, what meme should I fall for. I was looking at the synology ones my budget is <$200.
What are your experiences and recommendations.
This is for media storage for my Kodi setup
>/g/ is for the discussion of technology and related topics.
> /g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.
It's like you never read the sticky.
So you don't want to discuss NAS's? Last time I checked it was technology.
>What are your experiences and recommendations?
It's almost like I'm trying to start a technology discussion.
Solve the puzzle and prove you're a wizard.
Is the mx anywhere 2 worth 60$? Is it worth buying if I don't want a gaymin' mouse?
I need suggestions for displaying useful information on a tiny display.
It is full colour, HDMI but has only 320x240 resolution native, i've got it mounted above and behind my main monitor.
Currently it is showing some basic stats through a rainmeter skin but this is inefficient and wasteful of the few pixels it has to play with.
What would you display on your tiny screen?
Picture isn't my screen, just a picture from google.
