>supposed to make an animated gif that taps at 120bpm
>render a test in GIMP, with 15 frames per dot, with 33.33 ms per frame
>15 frames x 33.33ms = 1 dot per 500ms = 2 dots per 1000ms = 120bpm
But when I render it, GIMP spits out a 135bpm gif. What gives?
And I've tried rendering at 34bpm and its still over >130bpm. So it has nothing to do with decimals.
Now, when I render each number at 500ms, it correctly gives me a 120bpm gif.
Does GIMP just suck when the ms per frame are <100 or small? It's not accurately rendering those gifs at all.
I got you OP:
>A little known fact: the GIF format specifies frame delays in multiples of 10ms (ie. 1/100th of a second). Whatever frame delay you specify in the frame/layer name, in the Gimp export dialog or in any other software will be rounded up/down to the nearest multiple of 10ms.
Shouldnt have fallen for the FOSS meme. Staalman is a hack and his "alternative" softwares, and OS, is complete shit.
Why are there no taxes on newegg or amazon right now? I've been googling for 20 minutes and I can't figure it out.
There are sometimes. I think it's something like they only have to charge sales tax if the warehouse is in the same state as you, or if your state government has actually figured out that online shopping is a thing.
I installed Gentoo now what?
I just got a 4k TV, what is the best way to watch 4k content?

/g/ what's going on with my daily energy usage? I'm up at 6 getting ready for work so I understand the 6/7am spikes, and I work all day and make dinner around 6 so the evening usage makes sense.
What's with the spikes at 2am and 12pm??
I live in a small studio so literally nothing is on or running (no heaters/AC, literally only the fridge and microwave are plugged in)
Lads, I need some help.
I spend days trying to find a copy of an ebook I needed for a class, with no luck. Needed a specific edition, and found just about every damn edition BUT the one I needed.
Finally broke down and rented the ebook on Chegg, with the intent of putting the pdf out there so any other poor saps looking for that edition would have a source.
Now I can't figure out how to pull the book off of Chegg. They don't let you download it, and I'm a little tech illiterate.
Anybody can tell me how to pull down a copy of the ebook,...

So I got this DenonAVR X1200W receiver, that offers connecting devices via hdmi and oldstyle av. I want to connect both a wii u and an older wii to it, but I can only select either hdmi or av (eg for setting media player).
Anybody know a way to use both inputs?
if I'm reading the manual right, it doesn't look like you can add sources beyond what's already there, so you're limited to the 7 or whatever sources already programmed, so even though you've got 8 possible inputs (5 hdmi + one front hdmi + two analog) you'll have to lose one of them if you want to assign all the inputs.
Pretty much. But I don't want to use eg the mediaplayer config with both ports but rather create a new config to use the av port or be ableto select the av port directly. I couldn't figure out a way to do it, though.

Does anyone else occasionally have trouble getting into BIOS with a USB keyboard? I keep around an old PS2 keyboard just for this.
I've had it happen occasionally with older systems but most modern BIOSs are usually okay. But, yeah, I keep an old keyboard around just in case. It's actually one of my favorite keyboards.
What household items use ag13 battery's? I need one for my mic and all the stores in my area are closed.

Where are my fellow brogrammers at?
Talking about old internet times with moot, since we both work for google now.
How do we end tech illiteracy for good /g/?
most people are just use iphones and ipads and browse facebook so their interaction with the actual real internet is fading, This is good because the internet is once again becoming a place for nerds.
I actually predict in the future the internet will just be a facebook terminal and there will be a separate mesh network for gentoomen.

vim > emacs >>>>>>>>> gui shit
how can graphical editors like atom and sublime EVEN COMPARE to superior terminal text editors?
vim is a fine text editor but a shit ide.
emacs is superior to vim in every way though. vimscript is LITERAL garbage while elisp is sweet music, a symphony of C and Lisp.
if you're not using a graphical environment in 2016 what the fuck man
Vim is a great IDE too with better completion than intellishit.
