All fanboys aside, has anyone got any experience with the A10-7890k?
I am looking for a budget (£500) PC & am undecided whether to go with an APU or just an i3 6100 & GTX 950.
I am not too experienced with speccing a PC so hoping someone here can help? Will be running 8gb ram (1866 ddr3 with the APU & 2133 ddr4 with the i3).
It won't be used for anything too strenuous, mainly WoW Legion when it's out, occasionally some other MOBA games & general everyday use, potentially BF1 when it's out, how would it hold up with that?

I've got Steam Machine with;
MX200 250GB SSD
Had to buy a;
To quieten the fucking fan down, stock cooler was awful.
Going to get a picoPSU too to get rid of the trash, hot, noisy PSU it came with.
I play, Dota2, CS:GO etc.
I'd recommend getting faster memory, 2400MHz and you have to flash your mobo to get the most out of the APU.
I've an fx6300 and i just buy an msi rx 470 4gb. CPU limits the gpu? If yes, how much?
Why is Apple so amazing?

Within 20 years time, half of all jobs will be automated.
Either the government will pay them a weekly allowance for just existing(which wont happen because thats the commie way of doing things) , or youll be forced to support your children through adulthood by your 401k/Superannuation/investments that will be the only thing would be making money once most jobs are automated. So why even entertain the idea of having kids if youre in your 20s?
skilled jobs have a 1% chance of being automated in the next 20 years, whereas retail and such jobs have like a 70+% chance (may be more)
Google the source yourself. The "skilled job" used in the example was an RN
They will tax the robots as if they were people to pay for future autist's neetbux to play vidya
Actually low tier white collar work(that employs a majority of plebs) will be most affected, whilst work that involve movong your hands like mechanics, traidies, will be the last to be automatied, since robotics have been lagging behing cognitive level 1 and 2 AI
Why does my Steam gaming performance on Linux suck so much? Using the latest Nvidia drivers on Arch with 32 bit libraries installed. Rust and Insurgency are unplayable. Arch wiki doesn't have any tips either. Non-steam games work fine, just like games like DoD or CSS that don't have big hardware requirements. Are all the other games just badly optimized for linux?
I need to make a video file larger,
I have a 360 MB video file and I need it to be between 2 to 5 GB, anyone knows how?
>no good OS
>no good browser
>torrent sites being taken down
>adblockers being subverted
>80% of websites dont have free speech
>google doesnt link to 8ch because of thoughtcrimes
>firefox to release in browser drm
>net neutrality to be lost over the next few years
why didnt you stop it?
Why don't they just outsource programming to slavs?

Any recommendations for a printer? I'm going to buy a new one to upgrade my crappy cheap HP printer and want to buy a decent one.
you're going to need this
I need a new Dac for my m3-6
I'm undecided between Scarlett Solo, which has also mic in and since i'm a musician and have some spare mics this could be useful, or the NuForce uDac3
They are almost at the same price, and i think that Scarlett Solo support 24bit 96khz just as the uDac3
What i should choose?
my first purpose is listening to music anyway
>audio inputs and preamps "could" be useful
>in-the-box music production
all you're looking for is a glorified soundcard, what you posted is fine, and most other audio interfaces/DACs are too
So since both are fine the logical choice is to take the Scarlett Solo
Yet i'm not really convinced, since i'm quite new in the audio world
Well one is a DAC and the other an audio interface, both are the same thing with more or less features, the point is, what would you pick?
Let's see yours

Retard here, sorry, but I'm looking for a new laptop and I wondered if you might be able to help me out.
Are these any good?
Only difference I can see is 2.5 vs 3.1 GHz processor. Am I missing anything?
Or is there anything else you could recommend?
I'm looking to spend at the very most £700. Don't need it to be too powerful, just need to be able to play HD movies to my TV well, some photoshop usage for translating comics, some gaming, but nothing too serious, I don't play the most graphically intensive games, mainly strategy and lolsoquirky indieshit. I don't need it to be especially portable, my previous laptop was 17 inches so I wouldn't mind something that size.
How is this?
Are MSI shit? Lower clock speed but more RAM and slightly better graphics card, worth it or not?
As a general rule, if you don't know what the specs mean, ignore them.
Higher clock speed =/= More performance.
Look up reviews for all these laptops and compare their individual components and you'll see what's better
Will finishing this book make me smarter?
Could you be more concrete in your answer my friend?
>Above all, remember that most open source libraries are, well, ahem, crap.
>Open source libraries (or to use my old term, code from the internet) are a great way to expand the capabilities of your apps, especially client-side. But be aware that just because they’re “free” doesn’t mean that the cost to use them is zero.
Everyone with half a brain knows GNU/Linux/FOSS sucks.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

I'm looking for a motherboard that supports overclocking for my old 3570k. I have a small case (pic related) and can't find anything on Newegg. Do any of you have suggestions?
1155 is too old to expect to find on Newegg, but look for a P8Z77I DELUXE

Will we ever truly solve the solve the problem/stem the flow of android fragmetation?
Most devices are still Lollipop and some are even still on Kitkat. Maybe Google actually dipping their hands into the market could alleviate the issue if those rumors of them launching an iPhone rival have any truth to them.
