Hey /g/, is there any free virtualization system that allows PCI-E passthrough for GPUs, nested VMs, and offers administration on the same computer?
I've checked out Server 2012 with Hyper-V, that doesn't allow PCI passthrough, and vSphere doesn't offer local administration. The only system that does what I'd like would be unRAID, and that isn't free.
If I used unRAID would have to run a vSphere VM and another VM under unRAID and pass the GPUs through to ESXi to pass through to ESXi's VMs, and give the second VM just enough resources...

The answer to your question is pretty much 'no'.
Not sure about others, but I know Hyper-V allows for up to 2GB of VRAM to be dedicated to a VM.
I've looked into this a lot, because i wanted to virtualize my gaming PC so I could rely on my server cabinet instead of my desktop. It's simply not supported yet.
Thanks, are there any other VM systems that I could at least look at? I've only looked into Hyper-V, vSphere, unRAID, and Openstack, I don't know if there are any ones I might be missing that might work

Okay, which one of you faggots ruined it for the rest of us?
who else is posting from IE?
Since Firefox is going shitty, do you have any vialbe alternatives? I'm on linux

What do you guys think about this build?
Get a 4460 instead, the performance diff is minimal
>hyper evo 212
No, use the stock cooler it's more than capable.
No. Get h97 instead, you have a locked cpu.
>16gb 2400mhz ram
No. Get 8gb 1600mhz, anything more is overkill. The locked i5 Haswell refresh can only use max 1600mhz anyway.
Use the money you save to get an r9 390 and a 650w+ psu
This for the most part.
I still would go with the 212 evo. Its super cheap and even though the CPU is locked, h97 series do allow for level of overclock and well, overclocking or not, the stock cooler is trash.
>stock cooler is trash
Why? It's quiet, power efficient and keeps temp < 30 when idle and scales well under load. Do you really think Intel would include a cooler that can't do its job?
What is /g/s opinion on Lenovo Flex 2 and other 2 in 1 type laptops?
I've had a flex on me for a few days when making a review about win 10 technical preview and it felt fucking amazing even with the shit ass beta os.
I checked the specs and its not even that bad. Could run some vidya decently and is a pretty good choice for everyday use. I just don't know if it's really worth it. Having a 14" tablet is awesome even with my hand getting tured fast af and the hw itself is decent but the price is hefty.
I have the Thinkpad Yoga 15 and I love it.
I mostly use it to remote into my home/work servers, run vms for testing and run network penetration tests.
With the 840m I can also play some lightweight games when at home.
I listen to music while I work. But I've been trying to get into programming. Time at home is limited and I'm usually pretty tired in my resting hours. Was wondering if there are any audio format tutorials for learning different languages. Something I can just zone out to and learn on the go.
I've also heard bineural audio may have some benefits to learning, can anyone back this? If what would be the best way to incorporate that?
I bought a Steam Link a couple days ago and have logged about 12 hours on it already.
Ask me anything.
Plan on resetting a build I did a while back and giving it to my parents since they're using a Dell from 2005-6. I plan on doing the reset that deletes all the files/programs I downloaded as well as user accounts so it's basically a blank slate.
I couldn't find a definitive answer on this, but am I going to need to reinstall my windows media? Because I built it on a 7 disc and took the free upgrade to 10. I've still got the disc.

How do you prevent carpal syndrome? I feel like the wrist rests are meme. When I feel pain in my wrist area, I use a stack of paper for few hours and then nothing to complain.
Worse is the eyes though. It often hurt at night.
I installed an equivalent (as I am not using windows), redshift, but I didnt notice any major improvement...
Maybe if I were to damp the brightness more aggressively than it is done by default it would reduce the damage on my eyes.
>Android not having a good equivalent to imessage
Do smart flip phones have a place in the market?
I want one

You've answered your own question
Where the fuck are the new qwerty landscape sliders though? I want to upgrade already.
1.. 2.. 3.. FIGHT!!!
>are you implying that people have to download additional apps instead of using the easy to access internet explorer app already installed on my phone just because it triggers you? that's pretty sad friend
