You know what to do.
will update with new pic once I'm home, just got blue snowball in the mail today I'm pretty excited m8s
Found a table I really liked at CB2 - just need to prepare myself to part with $550 USD
that's actually the old one that i'm replacing with this. It's 12-inches wider and 2 inches deeper, and reaaaally nice wood
/g/uten Abend meine Damen und Herren! Wie geht's?
yeah, but the old one sure does look nice...
i'll take that as a compliment, thank you!
because I have Windows 7 and it won't let you manage wallpapers for each monitor. I didn't want to stretch it on the portrait, because it would fuck with the scale of the wallpaper on the landscape
I've shitposted my office cancer in these threads enough so here's a station I'm setting up in my garage for testing terminals
still trying to figure out what *nix I want to shove on the PC 300
also same ancient pic of office cancer yet again because I need to clean up my shit
Best pic I can get atm. I'll work on it
i love your bedrooms
theyre all 10/10s so great so nice so nice
thx for all this technology on a daily basis
really make this board so nice
so happy new people always post in here
never got to see your bedrooms before
not even mad
All you can do with MS-DOS and a terminal is pretty much fuck around with the command line, any software you try to run will output to the primary display if there is one or otherwise it will just freeze the system and force a restart
Adorable cat. What game is that on the DS?
micca mb42. Good.
Lucky bamboo, needs indirect sunlight. It's a good indoor plant.
>fucking massive image
>battlestation is meh
>monitor is $150, absolutely shitty colors and black level
>haven't even taken the plastic off
>desk looks okay, but since it's ikea it's built like shit
>wall poster isn't even taped together properly (double-stick tape at the edges would work much better, also using photo paper would make it pop)
At least you got some decent cheapest-/g/-tier bookshelf speakers. If you want to make the lights less bright on the lepai, open it up and either point them backwards or snip the lights right off.
6/10 for effort
yeah, it's currently a tiny system/390 housefire until I can get >>42210589 running and figure out how to hang my 3278-2s off of it.
It also makes a pretty good typewriter/spreadsheeting tool but I have a 760CD for that.
How does your bamboo like those rocks? I have a very similar one that has silica gel beads. But they need to be soaked in water every few weeks and they don't even hold the plant upright.
People with multiple monitors and shit. What do you use them for? Do your jobs require to do multiple things at the same time or do you just like a lot of screens?
Im at a lan party /g/.
In my setup 6 monitors, 3x2.
OS X Supports multiple "workstations" per monitor.
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 |
1 = Chat Programs (Slack, iMessage, Skype) split 3 ways.
2.0 = Finder
2.1 = Terminal Windows (4x split, project(s) cwd, ssh into server(s))
2.2 = Windows 7 VM (via VMware Fusion)
2.3 = Video (if I'm playing anything)
3.0 = Chrome Canary w/ device scale for Tablet Landscape, Tablet Portrait, Phone.
3.1 = Music Control (Spotify)
4.0 = Email
4.1 = Floating Windows from IDE (Run, Test, Debugger... etc)
5.0 = Primary File Browser
5.1 = Project 1 / Code Editor
5.2 = Project 2 / Code Editor
6.0 = Misc Browser (JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, /g/, reddit, ycombinator, etc...)
6.1 = Work Browser (Project 1)
6.2 = Work Browser (Project 2)
7 = laptop (usually, irssi, or something that i want visible always in the side)
Not quoted, but I work as a video editor and colorist. 2 monitors so I can have my waveforms, effects and settings on one, and have live view on the other in full screen. Other setups for other work conditions exist, but I bought two monitors for that function mainly.
Responsiveness? That's just silly. I've tried out mechanical keyboards, they're too loud, and they take too much force to press keys. Slows me down :( I've maxed about 120wpm on a mechanical keyboard. Also, feels too weird switching between that and my laptop keyboard.
To each his own, I guess...
Never mind your wpm count, that would increase over time, and I wouldn't be surprised if going mechanical actually improved your typing ability once you've gotten used to it. And even if that's not the case it just feels a lot better when there's some amount of feedback to the keys. You don't even have to use a mechanical board to get that, even a rubber dome would be better then what you're using now.
Chiclet to me almost feels like typing on a touch-screen, completely unresponsive and very unsatisfying.
>Being a poorfag
>Livin' in México
>Having a shitty iPod 4 low quality camera
Escape from thie website before it is too late, run you fool
Ahem, I said yo fucking noodle cup be lookin' mighty delicious, muthafucka.
You best reply, bitch.
WTF is a Jarritos?
That's enought text for you?
>Posting random reaction images
I'm not the underaged poster, nor did I make the rules.
Look, I can do it too.
Because of a tripfag, and a underage b&.
What a surprise.
Back on topic then.
I'm sure people will find enough wrong with my setup now that I've shook the tree.
Here you have.
PS: You have a shitty taste in Latin American literature.
8.5/10 circa 1983
+Big, mostly flat desk
+Big flat table, curvature convenient
+some sort of sound system
-------- all that space yet still cramped.
-table far too small, no leg space, it's generally cramped and horrible
-one monitor per workstation
+guitar is convenient
-tray is being used for keyboard and mouse
+sound system looks decent
-the big screen is not big enough
Things seem to be in order
6/10 circa 1998
+everything else seems decent
-you need a new desk
+decent looking sound system
+decent looking sound system
-decency broken by abysmal mouse pad
-poor and/or minimalistic
Also dat desk!
I saw something like this in a dream once
Decent, but so cramped..
+decent sound system
-the door's open
i feel you... Was like that once - except not mexican.
+decent sound system
What's happening herE?
+musket - is it functional?
Immer wieder nett zu sehen, wer hier alles Deutscher ist.
10/10. Would watch Tomodachi and NGNL with.
Picture coming in a "few" minutes. DHL/Deutsche Post just surprised me with a Blitzkrieg-fast delivery (ordered yesterday evening on Ebay) of my new monitor stand for the Qnix QX2710 which I received last week.
Portrait monitor is great for comics, pictures in vertical orientation, playlists, text, etc.
The most "productive" thing I use mine for these days is translating hentai, but to be fair I've only ever translated two short works.
>You know what to do.
Buy more stuff, yeah.
I'm still thinking about how to make a new desk.
Just built that microwave and it's so super.
The laptop you see right there is going to collect dust and die.
my webcam only goes so far : c
>glossy monitor frame
>it's an absolutely abstract kind of disgust.png
>it's so super
Good thing people don't actually say that or I'd lose my remaining interest in interacting with people.
>purple nail polish
Tell me it's paint for something.
Here are all the parts
I need to buy a new mouse, keyboard and monitor next
It's obviously a female, retard. No need to get all riled up.
The rocks on mine holds the bamboo in place cause the vase is thin. They are just pebbles. Don't get colored ones, they might kill it.
The monitor is good. You have to do around 15 brightness and 45 contrast. Good color and black is black. At night you have to do around 1-5 and 40 contrast. Too high brightness, you get bad vision. Got it for 110. No photo paper. Too poor for kinkos.
and I usually block my lepai with my old ipod. Looks good. I'll take a picture next time.
I'm down c:
fuck this embedded file error bullshit
All you need to do is a little bit of math and Photoshop. If you get the crop correct on the image for the secondary monitor and tile it, the Image will loop and you get two different wallpapers. There are also programs that allow you to manage each screen's wallpaper but fuck that bloated shit
>math and photoshop
Why not just pirate Ultramon and be done with it?
>tfw icons, folders, etc.
>tfw missed golden opportunity to grab a white poker 2 with white leds.
Fuck my life. No where else can I find a Poker 2 with white LEDs, and not even that chink qtan sells them.
Ok, not really a fan of wooden desks but whaever. The Monitor sucks. Too many headphones. What the fuck is wrong with your mouse.
Wished I was you/10. Regarding the desks, table's too small and the chair looks uncomfortable and ugly.
>Five million dollar mousepad
>Loneliest room ever
Hate that second monitor, the rest looks bretty nice.
Mousepad too big. Awful window, disgusting wall. Distance between face and monitors too big. Desk too empty. Animu/10.
Nice carpet, meh chair, the rest looks really nice except for the other desk behind.
0/10 Kill yourself
That cable looks really uncomfortable. Also, put something up on those empty walls. Mousepad too big
Oh my God what a mess. Clean up.
Hate those animu and mango figurines but after all it's very tidy and neat, I like it. Get rid of that plant thing.
Jesus Christ why do you have to have such a huge mousepad? God dammit. Chair is disgusting and desk is too white. No.
Nice monitor, hate the bamboo and figures. Speakers also look bad
Why is the window so low. Comicly oversized mousepad. Tried the floppy coaster thing myself and it didn't workout, unless it's a fake floppy disk, then I guess it's good. I don't really like those side-monitors.
Seen this one before, very very good
Too many monitors tho
Stop this keyboard trend, please.
Tearing the wallpaper out and repainting my room soon. I'm thinking a light blue-gray or even a navy.
Not a DAC, it's a Schitt Asgard 1 amp. I use a Behringer UCA202 DAC.
Artisan Hayate Large Soft
>That cable looks really uncomfortable.
True, but it's 3 meters long unbraided.
>put something up on those empty walls.
I have no reason to. I'd get wooden floors and repaint before I decorated anything.
>Mousepad too big
It may look ridiculous, but I actually use it.
Just got $225 buckaroos
Time to buy shit
First thing on the list: Takstar TS671 headphones
Second on list: Phenom 9750 for my backup computer's backup
We quad core now
Please help me...
My main rig has a 3.20 ghz i5,Radeon 7950, and 8 gbs of ram the rest are just random computers hoping to hook them up to do bitcoin mining or something
>half naked animu wallpaper
>furfaggotry on mousepad
Only your good organizing sense and excellent taste in computer prevents you from a negative score.
>slightly redeemed by cool setup
To do list:
Cable management for ALL cables, desktop cables included - Too damn lazy though. Probably the worst cabled desktop on /g/. NP!
New broadband provider, 7 mb internet sucks!
>complaining about waste of resources
>muh minimal installation autism
straight people are never offended by breasted characters you know. and when it's well done anyone recognizes the value of the artist's work.
also i don't want an iphone or google device with me, this is a choice. you can not understand because you're new here.
nah my main mouse is that wacom tablet. it was more for the style.
People often forget that this wasn't just the console industry that melted down, but the computer industry also imploded on itself during 1983-85 due to similar problems with oversaturation.
But also because Commodore undercut all their low-end competition.
whatever happened to this bird?
she never posts now days
this is where i'm at now though
I don't even have my own website or anything, could I make admoney if I did, I wonder..
It'd probably get C&D letters over and over from the publishers unless I only stuck to translating doujinshi.
same here m8, even considering buying a new desk just because of these fucking threads
I've said it before and I'll say it again - /g/ is without a doubt the most influential and damaging board to visit
Actually, was going to go to the kitchen and make a sandwich :P
A shitty midi controller. Bought it because it was the best bang for the buck, not a good cop (alesis qx49). More exciting : waiting for my money to show up on paypal to buy a maschine studio
Enough of this n00b faggotry!
Time mine infested yet another thread!
hey it's dog, I decided to show off my finally finished guest room setup
>inb4 nobody cares
I just moved the shit I use in there because I'm using this computer to distro hop and see what I like before I install it on my primary build. But yeah mouse is a POS, just ordered a zowie fk though so things should be alright.
Hello, /g/. I hope all your laptops have at least 110 PPI, today.
just got my lepai amp with radio shack speakers.. :) will get the miccas soon
>Spending $500 on desktop speakers
You could have gotten 2 of these for ~$500. It wouldn't look like shit. It wouldn't take up half your room, and I can almost 100% promise it would sound better.
You are literally retarded if you actually think that would sound better. When the Chorus IIs were sold back in the early 90s, they went for ~$2000.
Please learn about what you type before posting.
have a second monitor that I think I'm going to wall mount above my current one, have it tilting down a bit. What do you think? Messed around with it side by side in portrait (its 24") but didn't like that.
Not much has changed in speaker technology in the past couple decades.
Have you even heard Chorus IIs compared to new low end klipsch. I have, and I wasn't impressed at all.
Some high end 60s speakers still compete with the newest speakers made today.
That isn't a fair comparison, as I'm talking about one brand. Bose sucks cocks. Anyone who thinks Bose doesn't suck (except the 901s) is fucking retarded.
It's like saying a new ford fiesta is better than a lamborghini diablo from 1992 because the lamborghini is old.
Why is /g/ filled with uniformed cunts tonight?
But a new Fiesta will be objectively better. It will get better gas mileage, it will be safer, it will need far less maint., will cost less to own/insure, it isn't 6 feet wide, so you can actually park it.
Newer is better 90% of the time, and the steps Klipsch has taken in just the last 10 years alone makes their 90's stuff pretty obsolete. Yeah it's still great, but you can buy much better product for way less money now, and a lot of people would say that Klipsch is on top of their game right now.
We're talking about performance, not how to be a bitch.
Obviously the lambo isn't a practical car to daily drive, but it obviously the superior vechicle (performance-wise, which is what we're talking about).
I return to my previous point: have you listened to any of the Klipsch Hertitage speakers, Chorus IIs or Fortes in your life?
