Now be honest. How many of you mainly bought a nice camera because of these kinds of threads? Because sometimes I really fell like it.
Neat. What kind of music do you make?
Just finished it the other day.
Pretty nice, like the monitor set-up. Speaker-placement looks a bit off though.
I guess this is pretty much as good as it's going to get considering your living conditions.
Almost too clean, nice stuff though.
I like this. Think I would be pretty comfortable at your desk.
>Speaker-placement looks a bit off though.
Got speakers just 2 days ago. I'm still waiting for wall mounts to arrive from ebay, then I will update this pic.
I like the station and how its come along
>I like this. Think I would be pretty comfortable at your desk.
Can say the same thing about your setup. Jealous of the double dells, I'm not going to be able to afford a second one soon.
Just arrived home. Been the day out with friends on a pool.
Shitty picture? Check
Mediocre station? Check
Posting anyways? All the time
My room is just always clean. I promise I didn't clean it.
anyone know of a good 7-8 foot desk similar to this crude drawing
i want my legs to go in the green part don't care whats in the red part
I just got it printed using this image
laggy as shit in adventure mode, no DT or dfhack makes fortress mode a pain.
>having to manually overlook labors by selecting individual dorfs
kill me now
OP, yur speakers are angled in too far and too close to have accurate imaging. Push them back! Rule of thumb is that if from your seated position, you can see the face of each speaker but not the side, you're in the right sort of ballpark.
I'm well aware of what it takes to accurately set up speakers, just it's obvious from his monitor position that he's going to be facing some issues in practical placement, so an easy way to gauge it roughly is the method I suggested.

Taking a "muh bokeh" photo with kit lens still doesn't make it a good photo, but nice try.
Something tells me you like Zappy Dan The Magnet Man.
haha awesome - you're right ;)
I got the cam days ago and never owned a 'real' cam before. So much room for improvement! But I think the last pic isn't to bokehlicious.
I recommend if it your cable-manage-skills are >9000; you'll NEED a modular power supply and some thin cables - sleeved is a nope. Also the HDD cage is crap and you'll need an extra 120mm filter because the included one sucks. But, eh....., METAL; GORGEOUS
I mean it may be illegal but I am not saying maske a mainstream site here just a site wiht a login and such then put ads all over and allow family members/friends to make a login. Each time they view a different video you'd make a tiny bit from the crap on the page that they don't see when you fullscreen.
Posting my 2nd battlestation because there's cpu heavy stuff going on my main computer and my SyncMaster 305T doesn't flicker anymore.
I like of your wallpaper.
I don't know if it's normal for you all to save each other's pictures, but I do it for design ideas and stuff. However I was trying to remember a certain one I saved when organizing my images yesterday and even after going through all of my image folders I couldn't find it. I was hoping I could describe it and perhaps one of you had it saved or the original poster of it was around.
It was a panorama first of all. It looked like an apartment I think, had cool toned walls (grey-blue?). The kitchen was visible in the picture. Wooden floors I think. The persons bed, I think it was a futon, was laid out in a sort of concave area. On the walls were some either framed or printed canvas anime pictures or some shit, they were small but many. Next to the bedding area he had some tall glass cases with some anime figures or something (I think they had lights inside them? Maybe?). I think there was a window on the opposite wall from the bed. The PC and desk wall was adjacent to the wall with the concave bedding area. There may or may not have been a TV and couch on the window wall. Thanks in advance.
I'm the first one you linked. It's a Quickfire TK.
Mines aways clean.
Also.. its rather warm for the middle of winter.. Like T-Shirt warm. Weird for Dunedin.
Been some time since I visited, hows everyone doing?
I really need to take new pics.. I've gotten a new keyboard
Well I just put an Ikea Numerar butcher block counter top on some Alex drawers. Pretty happy with it. Might stain it someday when I'm not lazy.
Thanks, it's a X230 on a dock. It's all the computing power I need ever since I stopped gaming.
I think I got too addicted, I'm not good at moderation haha.
Once in a while though I might play some SC2, but the X230 only plays it in lowest settings.
No need to stop if you're young and don't have much responsibility.
Originally got the LP2s as a christmas gift. Loved the sound, but I wanted something that was a little bit more portable. Then, when the m100s came out, I read the reviews and heard that the sound was far better equalized and I loved how they could fold closed. So I ended up buying myself some m100s. They are my main pair of cans, although I sometimes use the LP2s. Mainly when I'm traveling with friends (I use the share-cable with the built in splitter) or when the pads in my m100s get too warm (I like my pads cold like a pillow).
Thanks for your suggestions. I plan on getting a new desk eventually so I can fit some bigger speakers on it, and I should be getting some Phillips Hue Light Strips in a few weeks to put behind my desk. Should be cool.
I've had it on s3 box too. It never moves, unless you force shake the desk.
Included with the mic.
I'm going to order pic related soon™
I almost got the Rode, but I opted for a neweer instead, shit was a lot cheaper.
>but is that a mech keyboard?
>How well does it work with osx?
Rode looks sturdy, so I'm probably going to order it. What mic arm is that?
I think it's great, I mostly use it for drawing and osu. It's the small sized, imo that's enough.
Thick boxes that can support weight of your monitor and doesn't look too bad. Books are okay if you turn the side cover towards the back and cover the top with white paper I guess. Maybe just wrap the book in white paper and call it a day.
It does what I need, I'm sure the Rode is much better quality. I just couldn't justify the expense.
Oh, I thought you said you went for something newer than rode lel. I'll check it out, thanks!

You definitely don't need to spend thousands for diminishing returns in audio quality, but it's best spend near the ~$150 range for your first dip into great sound. You really don't know what you're missing if you've only had junk computer speakers.
General recommendations here include the Audioengine A2 and the Micca MB42x (very low-priced).
I also have personal and very favourable experiences with the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and the Swan M10.
OP, you asked for it.
I know, i hate that so much from iPhones. Piece of advice, get an Android phone, they're actually a lot better than iPhones if you get a good one that's not as expensive as the S5 or anything like that.
Closet, now featuring teac bullshit-o-tron
Can you spot the beats?
I need to redo the dampening on them, sticky tack a shit
that wallpaper on ur left monitor looks stretched as fuck.
soz bout munted pic but u get the idea
I think he's fairly well-liked, but I wouldn't say he's "as mainstream as it gets"! He's nowhere near as widespread as circles like Alstroemeria, IOSYS, etc. I've only ever visited him at M3, but he wasn't at a wall or end table.
I don't know OP, I find it often takes some digging to find a particular album when it comes to doujin music, regardless of circle popularity. Especially if it's not super recent.
Reporting as ordered.
Ratings are based entirely on how much I'd like to use your station as my own, so if you have no decent sound system (headphones or speakers) visible, then you will automatically get a low score unless there is something else I really like about it. Don't feel bad
I do not need to clean my executive office desk, it remains organised on its own.
Do admire my absolutely stupid keyboard.
Not OP, but if you stick to convenience store and fast food you can eat for ~$15USD/day or less.
I think a bed in a shared room at a hostel will run from $20-$50/night, with capsule hotels being priced similarly but I haven't checked this in a while. You can usually get a single room at a business hotel for $40-$70 in Tokyo. Maybe cheaper, it's been a while since I booked a hotel outside peak season.
Transportation depends on what you're planning on doing, remember to factor it in.
Get a friend and it will work out a much cheaper (especially hotel costs)
>21Days JRPass: £339
>Flight both ways: £550
>Hotels: about £550 (Double if going alone)
Been to Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Nagoya, Nara, Kamakura, Kanazawa, Shirakawa, Oarai, Tokyo, Suwa, Miyajima and Yamadera.
I was eating for about Y1000 yen per day but if I would want to, I could easily survive just for about Y600.
Sub-par monitor, putting stickers from products you don't use on monitor, not having a keyboard to replace the godawful chiclet thing on the laptop, and whatever horrendous shit is going on with your walls.
You get points, however, for those cute little Klipsch speakers.
Giving it a 4/10, would definitely not use.
>Been to Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Nagoya, Nara, Kamakura, Kanazawa, Shirakawa, Oarai, Tokyo, Suwa, Miyajima and Yamadera.
Nice. I can guess why some of the smaller towns made it on there, heh.
>I was eating for about Y1000 yen per day but if I would want to, I could easily survive just for about Y600.
600y? You must not eat very much! 1000y is around what I spend, but my brother needs to eat closer to 2000y.
Regardless of whether your assumptions about spending behavior are accurate, I wouldn't recommend someone attempt to limit themselves to 600y a day. Especially if they are a college-aged white guy.
