Why don't you poorfags buy the dell 2007fp?
>$50-$60 on amazon
Yes, they match resolution wise and physical height too if you plan to go PLP. That's what I'm working on. I already have one 2007fp and U3014 comes in this week. Finding a 2nd one in perfect condition will require patience. I found my first one for $40 CDN.
Because I'm using dual Dell e176fp's. Gonna upgrade within the next year to some Korean monitors
If you wanted a short answer, yes, its possible.
Long answer would be no, that's a fucking stupid proposition. You would need a tv tuner connected to cable or your antenna. For the price of buying a cheap, tiny monitor and a tv tuner, you could just buy a small 30" TV.
Are these the monitors that are in every school and uni known to man?
They've probably got the manufacturing and production down so much they probably cost like 5 dollars to make now
Relax, nigger. Maybe he has the monitor already, you don't know what his use case is.
But yes, to answer your question, if you had a PC and a monitor already (or were planning on buying them anyway) then there are lots of inexpensive tuner cards. When you start talking about what you will be able to tune, it starts getting more complicated. But there are some advantages as well, mainly being you can roll your own DVR.
Banks and offices mostly. There are lots out there. But they are not making them any more! Snap them up off Craigslist locally every chance you get!
I picked up two the other day, $80 for both. Later when I get the cash I will get that 30" Monoprice IPS for around $800, and be partying like a rock star.
>20 30 20 PLP master race mein niggas!
Get on mah level!
You can search for FP or FPB, I'm pretty sure they are the same thing.
I read somewhere the B just meant business or something. But if anyone knows better, I'm all ears.
Better to buy local off CL though if possible.
The main bezel. They actually made some that had a silver bezel.
>NO smaller monitors have a similar PPI to 27" 2560x1440
I don't want another 1440p monitor... Just kill me now...
Pic related 1/3
Yep, black bezel.
What's not great about it? Also, is yours VA or IPS?
I have an NEC LCD2090UXi which supposedly has the same model LG IPS panel as the IPS version of the 2007FP. The NEC of course has extra high end features (like hardware calibration) but mine looks fantastic even without calibration.
>implying most montiors arent tn. Please, continue.
cmon autist. IPS arent the best in every situation, for every purpose, for every person. Theyre good, but TNs are what 99% of people use because they have no use or dont see the advantage of IPS.
>edge to edge glass
Oh man, reflection city without the full advantages a glossy panel can give. And on a VA panel nonetheless. Nice choice, dude.
>all that disgusting glare
glossy is garbage
also not that anon
you removed your trip?
Glossy coatings are shit period.
Glass is excellent, if there is no other light in the room at all.
>and you can always buy some AG film later, you apply it like a screen protector on a phone.
AG is best if you're not a in dark room.
I honestly prefer glass, due to the flexibility of best contrast in dark vs. film ag for light rooms.
>'edge to edge' glass doesn't count, that shit is nasty.
I've heard that Hitachi's are pretty shit, so this worries me.
poorfags would not pay $50 for a 17" 4:3 when you can easy get one from free. most people have moved on to 16:10 or more likely 16:9 in a bigger size.
poorfag does not mean dumbfag.
