Would you vote for a communist party if they promise to switch all government computers to GNU/Linux?
You men these faggots? No I'd never vote for them because they act like children.
Their previous party name was "Vänsterpartiet Kommunisterna" translated literally: "Left Party-Communists", they dropped the communist suffix in the 90s.
That being said, they are not strictly 100% Marxists, they don't wanna abolish all private property or private commercial enterprises (with one exception *), but they are heavily in favor of high taxes and large public sector.
* They do say school and healthcare should be heavily regulated for private actors, basically they wanna outlaw venture capital from being injected into education & healthcare.
>believes in free software
>doesn't like software patents
>is qt enough to convince southern European bigots
But alas you had to vote in fucking neo-nazi's instead.
at least if they did, sweden wouldn't "have" to take in so many.
She was one of the representatives of the pirate party. While they're leaning left like every party in Sweden they're not leaning left much more than most.
Closest related to our enviromentalist party probably. Except they're not crazy enough to think nuclear power is a bad idea and from what I've heard they don't think most solar/wind solutions are sane because lacking efficiency.
Not that I'm that politically involved. Anyone can correct me.
The problem with SD is that they're basically just liberals who think brown people are kind of scary. Liberalism in any form is not going to stop the rising tide of color.
Are you dense? There's no way Sweden alone is emptying poor countries. I'm not implying it's a positive. It's a clear negative, doesn't even demand me arguing for it. It's an unsustainable situation to abandon land like that.
Immigration at the moment is already emptying poor countries of the people who could actually make the country less poor. I think that the skilled workers leaving pooristan for richer countries does not do pooristan any favors. You're taking the moderates, the people who don't hate the west (generally, anti-west sentiment actually grows in second generations of immigrants, since they're like uh don't like it here teenage mentality and get exposed to the radical views of places like pooristan), and the skills that a country needs to get out of the shitpile it ended up in.
My country, Canada, does take in more people, but we take in quality people, not illiterate Muslims and other scum.
Your immigration policy sucks and I would probably vote SD if I were Swedish even though I vote NDP in Canada.
Canadian immigrants usually end up making more than white Canadians because we have a strict points system and low family reunification. Asia has lots of brain power for us to drain.
In Europe, immigration is thought of as a "social justice" issue. In North America, it's about growing the economy and creating opportunities. This is why many American technology giants like Sergey Brin are immigrants. In Sweden, all of the biggest names in technology are native, white Swedes because all of the immigrants you import are fucking scum.
>That being said, they are not strictly 100% Marxists, they don't wanna abolish all private property or private commercial enterprises
You have to realize that Swedish politics have parties that strive towards one goal and present another. While the resulting legislation is usually pretty bland and leaning towards the left if a party like VP would get enough votes they will work towards a communist hell hole more openly. You just have to look at the kind of changes that are being made and see if it's a moderate change or if it's an intense change, just focused in one place.
It already has, dont you remember Husby, but please vote for more shitskins
>people who needs it
i "need" to own a ferrari but i don't. what about all the people that are stuck in those countries and can't make it to sweden? if someone murders and pillages to gather enough resources to travel to sweden, they are the ones that "need" to stay in sweden?
>implying most governments aren't already on linux
90% of super compuers run linux. Most government servers run Linux. Switching all the government workstations to linux would accomplish nothing.
In July 2001 the White House started switching their web servers to an operating system based on Red Hat Linux and using the Apache HTTP Server. The installation was completed in February 2009. In October 2009 the White House servers adopted Drupal, an open source content management system software distribution.
The United States Department of Defense uses Linux - "the U.S. Army is “the” single largest install base for Red Hat Linux" and the US Navy nuclear submarine fleet runs on Linux.
In June 2012 the US Navy signed a US$27,883,883 contract with Raytheon to install Linux ground control software for its fleet of vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) Northrup-Grumman MQ8B Fire Scout drones. The contract involves Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland, which has already spent $5,175,075 in preparation for the Linux systems.
In April 2006, the US Federal Aviation Administration announced that it had completed a migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux in one third of the scheduled time and saved 15 million dollars.
The US National Nuclear Security Administration operates the world's tenth fastest supercomputer, the IBM Roadrunner, which uses Red Hat Enterprise Linux along with Fedora as its operating systems.
The city government of Largo, Florida, USA uses Linux and has won international recognition for their implementation, indicating that it provides "extensive savings over more traditional alternatives in city-wide applications."
in what way do you get "muh freedoms" out of using GNU/Linux and why would they need it? they probably use specific accounting software and other types of software that won't even run on GNU/Linux so in that way they'd just have less freedom.
>In April 2006, the US Federal Aviation Administration announced that it had completed a migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux in one third of the scheduled time and saved 15 million dollars.
this just means that they anticipated that the migration would cost 15 million more than it did. the migration to red hat enterprise linux still cost a fuckton of money.
better software would still cost money so i fail to see the point. inb4 "but muh free software" - for example i have experience with open office circa 2008 and that was a massively buggy piece of shit. you can still have free software on windows.
We take in plenty of muslims though (not illiterate ones, but we wouldn't let anyone come here if they were illiterate either).
And to add a local success story to your list, The chain of stores, Whicker Emporium, was started by an Indian immigrant who found out that Canadians apparently love shit that's made out of whicker. The chain now has stores in half the country.
You sound like the, "black kids picked on me all the time in highschool, that's how I know all black people are evil" faggot that's in every racially charged thread over on /k/.
>but we wouldn't let anyone come here if they were illiterate either
>TENSTA, Sweden, March 8 (UPI) -- Immigrants to Sweden are guaranteed Swedish language training, but more students arrive in class completely illiterate, officials say.

>doing things according to nature rather than what is right, fair and just
top kek, I bet you also resent many things that are also contrary to human nature, like sitting at a computer or reading books.
