New battlestation thread! Old one is at the limits.
Roommate just transferred and now the room is empty.
Don't know what to do with or how to decorate all this space.
Keeping dust and fingerprints off of this is a bitch but it's worth it
I need new speakers (really want Audioengine A2's)
I think it's time for me to finally buy a camera. Rate me anyways.
I really like the desk. Thinking about going portrait some time as well. 8/10.
Simple and elegant. Speakers could desperately need an upgrade, though. 7/10.
Your monitors would stand out a lot more if you mounted them somehow. 7/10.
Overall a very nice and clean setup. Don't get the purpose of the fourth monitor, though. 8/10.

I kinda just use it as an extra monitor, drag extra stuff there like my music player and such. It's handy to have.
Nice battlestation, 9/10 would sit at and sweat.
ok fine i cleaned up a bit. here
i bet you have two clocks on your phone too
>fold cable into a sort of Z shape on a flat surface
>proceed to use your braiding skills
>after a couple of braids, untangle cables
>repeat until its done
its not hard. you just need patience, braiding skills and a flat surface.
Will be finished completely next paycheck. Gotta buy more shit for my build and some cable management stuff.
posting battlestation threads
I'm bored of posting the same pic everytime, so here's a slightly older one.
Does anyone know of a program where I can, basically making simple squares/rectangles in a specific size, use it to measure out my room and place furniture as a planner? I don't want one of those online furniture planners, as they always have everything but my furniture piece, and are more rendering than I need. I just want to make sure everything fits.
Not him, but if you check TFTCentral's review, it's actually 4MS worst case that they measured, with literally 0 input delay/display lag.
I researched them pretty heavily myself, planning on grabbing three.
I love it. The colors are great, the bezels are awesome, and the USB 3.0 hub is super clutch.
I have absolutely no problems with response times. I mainly play TF2 as far as multiplayer games go, but I have played BF3 on it as well. Nowadays I play The Binding of Isaac Rebirth a lot nowadays too.
My only real complaint is I wish the front buttons had actual detents instead of being behind the flexible part of the front bezel.
I'm gonna ask you a kind of random question, but, can you measure the distance from the outside edge of the screen to where the stand base starts?
(Distance from bottom of stand edge to edge of screen, if that wasn't clear.)
I hated those desks in school
I really like this, and can't pick a single reason why
1: 3.5 inches
2: 6 inches
3: 2.5 inches
sorry just took the picture and used paint really quick
What happened to epic gaymen PCs with LED fans?
I remember seeing a bunch like that with LEDs and neon tubes and stuff inside but now its all gone.
What happened? Are LEDs in cases unprofessional or something? Are they too edgy? I dont get it...
it would make me really happy if you were totally normal as far as anyone could tell interacting with you out in public. Then eventually you get the lady and the first time she comes to your room she sees this.
If I was her I don't know if I would be shocked and appalled or seriously impressed.
gaymen riggan has been around long enough that the community here has matured and moved away from such things.
Unfortunately, since the mech board community is somewhat younger, at least in comparison, you're still seeing a lot of LED boards in those threads.
I have LED back lighting on my keyboard, but, it's white lighting. And just a constant white. Nothing flashy or anything like that, though my keyboard has the modes for it. I think white is mature, too.
Not built in. It's a lightpack. Not trying to shill but you can get it at lightpack.tv
I backed it when it was on kickstarter many moons ago and cheaper than it is now. But it is all complete and easy to put together on your monitor. Software is great and works on Mac and Windows. Probably loonix too but I don't really use it.
Just a lamp I got at Target I think. They still sell it I believe.
Other than that, nice station.
Wood desk bro
Nice and organized.
You need at least 4 more monitors.
Elac speakers? Sexy. Is bs and tv station in same room?
Just replace that space heater with an old Fermi GPU.
I take it you like the moon.
Aren't you afraid the cat will fuck up your chair?
I was going to give this an honest rating but didn't want to seem like an asshole.
Going to be moving everything around tonight when I get off work.
see if I can fiddle with the layout a bit.
All speakers, projector as well as battlestation in the same room. It's a lot of stuff, but not enough to feel cramped.
Wouldn't want to move my station to a separate room, because everything is interconnected.
My PC is hooked up to the AV-Receiver (HDMI). The AV-Receiver has to screen outputs (out 1 is hooked up to the projector, as seen in the picture, out 2 is mainly for using the Wii U / Chromecast on the main monitor).
Playback is done via XBMC and remote controlled with IR-dongle and Logitech Harmony One.
You don't have to go edge to edge. Maybe he likes to have enough comfort room around the edges so his mouse doesn't have to be dead center whenever he needs to move it.
Or maybe he's like me and uses a low DPI. I don't see how anyone can use a computer with more than 1600dpi. I use 800 out of preference, because high dpis feel gross, the mouse is too floaty and not precise.
But the most important question is why the fuck do you care so much?
Okay, so basically the only way this makes sense is if he is one of the few people out there that enjoy using a dpi that was common ago, but absolutely NEVER uses his numpad, because he definitely didn't buy that kind of keyboard to save space.
>why do you care?
I said what I wanted to say, now I'm just replying to people that are replying to my posts. Why do you care what I think about his keyboard/mousepad set up?
>he definitely didn't buy that kind of keyboard to save space.
Not even true. It saves space between your mouse and your keyboard, which means less distance your right hand has to travel to go from mouse to J key.
I'll explain why i have the smaller keyboard and mouse pad. I originally had a smaller desk and one monitor set up and i was tight on space so the keyboard was good at the time. The mouse pad isn't actually a mouse pad. I mainly use it when i'm playing Magic the Gathering, but it can also be used as a mouse pad at home. I only use a quarter of game pad for mouse use. Hope this cleared some stuff up.
