Its almost 2015 /g/
>Still using low ppi 1080p displays.
You should be using 1440p minimum.
confirming this. I have a 1440p 27" display and it feels slightly too big. I also regret going over 1080p (for now) because even my 290X can't max new games at 1440p without fps drops.
I just want some OLED 24" screens... please jesus.
I use my 768p laptop to output 768p to a 27 inch monitor and have absolutely no problems. Everyone might bitch at me for it, but I'm totally fine at this range because all of my shows are at 720p and I don't play videogames anymore. My school work doesn't care about screen ppi either.
seem feel, have a 780ti but some games really struggle in 1440p.
also the monitor some times its... too..fucking big!!
lately l play a lot of games(even fps) in the big 1080p tv with a comfy couch and a controller, just better comfy
Too drunk to think. I like it. Guess you'll have to live with it. I really like it over my 22 inch ips viewsonic 1080ps. 1440 in a couple years when I double up on 290xs or go nvidia
I don't feel like paying money to make my video card obsolete
Even my laptop has a better resolution than that.
>lately l play a lot of games(even fps) in the big 1080p tv with a comfy couch and a controller, just better comfy
gross, input lag
If I had a 4k monitor I could just run games in 1080p and stretch because its an even multiplier, but 1440p isn't and looks worse.
Honestly? Got black out drunk and ordered the tri cool x Sapphire 290x and it came in the mail and said oh well and hooked it up. Why do you care? It's very powerful and I don't know what you run. Don't care. Works very well for now. Oh well man enjoy your rug mine works great.
recently upgraded both my monitor and phone to 1440p. feels good.
>tfw no computer upgrade since 2009
>i5-750, 4870 with anemic cooler
>monitor was from 2007, 1440x900 shit panel from no name chinese corp
>people have displays taller than mine is wide
>people have more than one display and i'm on one still
I have joined the 1440p mustard rice.
boy is it good.
some goy is selling me a Crossover 1440p for $220 tmr so I can get even more pixels
Go try out the lg g3, nexus 6, or note 4. Shits cash.
>Still using low ppi 1080p displays.
exCUSE me but i'm using a low ppi 8:5 display
i happen to like the big pixels and the screen more than 3 feet from my face
i can still hear the dc transformer at this range
should get an even larger display with even more distance away

No, I have 2 1080p monitors and an Asus 29 inch 2560x1080 that I game on. I max out a lot of games but it doesn't max out all. No 1440p gaming but I'll get there in a couple years probably. Movies look great on 21:9 though.
I have a 970, same deal most games don't take up more than 50% of my GPUs power. only a few "new" games (fancy lighting) do I have to turn down the settings to keep a stable 60fps (or I can play at 40fps but not as smooth)
No, the 970 is actually (slightly) faster in most benchmarks, and its cheaper.
I'm really drunk and done replying. I guess I like 512 bit from amd over nvidia 256 or 384. Who cares it's strong as fuck. Anybody would take one for free so who cares. Yes I wish I held out for a 3xx amd
There are 3 monitors, we could just all meet up with him at the same time and get 1 each, then get donuts and joke about how sad it is that other people don't have 4k monitors.
I-if you want.
Yeah, Fedora 21, 3.14.
Some anon made it in another desktop thread.
some that say they can can't, if you go too far it wont show a picture or it will give a fucked up picture.
What monitor is it? And is it multi input?
Obviously overclocking anything detracts from the life of the product but i've had these for 1.5 years and hey, they're still going strong.
Looks fine to me. Maybe I'm just a naive fool who doesn't know any better. It's also possible that I'm not a turbonerd who gets out their magnifying glass to sperg out over pixels either.
