There exists no 1440p monitor at 24". The smallest I can find is 27".
My asshole's not quite ready for 4k yet.\
24" is already too big for desktop use. Your eyes have to gravitate away from the center of the display to see everything. 27" is full retard. Moving the monitor further away negates the clarity advantage of a higher resolution.
Monitors would be better served to become smaller, higher resolution and moved closer, not further away. I think desk mountable monitor arms should start becoming the standard for display stands.
I don't buy it. I have a setup like OP's pic. Yes I have too rotate my neck to see everything. But I have four virtual desktops full of different elements of project work, and dozens of open applications and simulations going.
It's great. Your app is open, look at the element that is important right now, drag related windows next to each other.
My next gen battlestation will probably have 3 4k ~30" displays rotated 90 degrees and tilted downward. A fucking suntan booth of pixels. And yes, I'll be using all of them hard. My biggest mistake is not doing this earlier.
>24 is already too big
>27 is full retard
>mfw 30" masterrace
I've been to them all. They're all overpriced, filthy, terrible seating, waste of time and money. You're probably going to get shot by some delusional psychopath while you're at it.
Enjoy your shit tier PPI
Jesus christ. What the fuck is it with you underage /v/ drones and your obnoxious way to use fucking buzzwords and reaction images?
From time to time I am really fucking ashamed to play video games myself because people will associate me with your kind.
>assuming I play video games with my shitty 5870 that barely runs minecraft at full res
How retarded do you have to be to think that only one board does that shit? Or did you just discover 4chan yesterday?
You should be ashamed but only because you're a fucking moron
Apple™Retina™ Displays sure are great!
Gotta love those silly anons that don't believe Apple™Retina™ is the future of high-resolution displays. They should really head down to their local Apple™ Retail Store and try them out!
>also if you want that then buy a laptop with 15.6" 1920x1080 monitor as I did
>It was too small for me
Been using the same specs since 2011, when you have it set up in the right position the distance doesn't bother me at all.
If they only could get the refresh rate up a bit as well as gsync/free sync...
I actually would prefer three monitors to that, spacing and sizing windows all the time instead of snapping them to a monitor/half a monitor with a click or two doesn't seem worth it.
>tfw no 16k 31" IPS VA Hybrid Panel with thin bezels golden VESA mount for $299.95
shit tier ppi
too small. 32'' is where it's at.
sit an arm's length away, and you don't need multiple monitors, ever
I'm the complete opposite. I'm drooling over the 40" Seiki monitor that's supposed to be coming out q1 next year. Gonna get one of those centered in landscape flanked with 2 of the new 1440p 32 panels I got myself for Hanukkah. Fokkin glorious.
This 34" 1440p curved Samsung Monitor is kinda cool,
I might replace my two monitors with it
what happened to the bottom part of that monitor?
>120-144 Hz Refresh Rate
>No useless cheapo monitor speakers
>Gamma switch to lighten dark areas in games
Unfortunately every decent monitor I've seen has been in the $800+ range.
Yeah I can attest to this. I have a 1920x1080p 24" and a 1920x1080p 27" that I got for christmas a while ago. Side-by-side, you can very clearly see the pixels on the 27" because of how big all the pixels are. If you play low quality videos or things get a bit distorted, it's even more so. If you play a game without some major forms of anti-aliasing, it becomes extremely visible.
I never recommend going 1080 for any monitors bigger than 24". The only times it's acceptable, is if it's for a TV or something very far away.
2560x1440 for 27"-32" is perfectly fine, but this is where you hit another wall and would want to upgrade to probably 4K.
Apaaaaaa ya se le metio el demonio a este anon otra vez !
Just picked up a second monitor today and my computer will not detect it I am honestly to the point of no return because I want to throw it across the room.
Wish me luck
