What tecnology did you always wanted to become a reality?
>80 Billion humans spread across the Solar System
>Mass Transit Gates
>Frame Jump Tunnels
>Planetary Transporter System
>Time Dilation Tourism
Would be the single most society-changing piece of technology in all of humanity's history. Capitalism would die. People would no longer work out of necessity, but out of a desire to better humanity. No more 40 hour work weeks.
Cancer would be cured along with countless other diseases. Hell I'm having a hard time coming up with a disease that couldn't be cured by magically zapping genes into someone. If you got into an awful motorcycle accident and fucked up your skin and lost half your limbs, you could cure all of that with gene therapy.
pls google nihilism
also read beyond good and evil and thus spoke zarathustra
nihilism's outcome is postive as you are free to ascribe your purpose of choice to existence, esp. re the will to power through your lineage and a brighter future
Get rid of congenital diseases since before birth, choose the color of their eyes, make sure your child's development is just as you want it to be.
I have a wish for one technology that's so fiction it might as well be called a fantasy.
The technology that'd allow me to meet mai waifu. Some sort of portal to parallel world.
This is all I wish for, one chance...
The chicken robot is an animatronic in Five Night's at Freddy's 2. The image comes from http://rebornica.tumblr.com/post/105754944844/.

>kid turns out autistic, pale, weak and generally mediocre because a human can only be "good" at a few things
>a human can only be "good" at a few things
Theres nothing stopping your body from being good at many things. Its not like being physically fit causes mental deterioration, or being good at music somehow makes you look worse. The human body can be good at as many things as it would like.
Of course aging can still inhibit the body. There are tons of things in life that can inhibit the body. I meant there is no limit to the number of good traits someone can have at birth.
i want to see telepathy scientifically proven, it opens the door for transmission of data and via maxwells demon for lossless and wireless transmission of power which has the potential to turn all of earths energy needs to renewable energy.
Pretty much the epitome of the fedora meem right here folks
I really just want to know that there's shit out there smarter than us.
I don't think they'd want to assimilate us or use us for food or whatever, I imagine they'd be beyond that kind of thing.
Wishful thinking, I guess.
I'd love to have some questions answered, and learn about some astrobiology and shit.
Isn't that joke from the office?
I'm still waiting for one of these. I can do without the not-really-so-benign aliens, of course, but I keep being promised flexible, roll-up displays.
FTL travel of any kind. Hell I'd even settle for 40k warping through hell if I had to. I can't stand the thought of such a massive universe missing out on the finest that humanity has to offer.
We need Synthetic Life to optimally manage fabrication, government, and R&D, which would make human labor obsolete.
Moreover, Synthetic Life is the only way we can expand outside the solar system. Even if we can send frozen embryos, we'll need hard AI to bootstrap colonies.
all i want is an AI driven companion
maybe a couple more decades
They we're developed before Vietnam war. Powered by a Jet Engine and you could get 30 minutes of flying time, the question you should be asking is, why hasn't the free market mass produce them.
I don't need to travel into real space or go back in time when some weeb can make a fictional universe or past that is more interesting by dicking around in Gmod 2035.
I could fucking drive a gundam, hunt dinosaurs in a safari with Jeff goldblum, be a wizard, and then enjoy a brown loli harem all in a single day.
